Alliance, Remember?

Summary:

After being eliminated and not feeling so much like a heroic leader after all, Pin tries to uncover the broadcasting company that had designed such a horrible game. However, she gets stuck in Yoyleland and finds herself with only Leafy being ready to save her.

Chapter Text

Pin shivered and oozed as she leaned against the panels of the Weak Trembling Fortress. She had failed to keep the W.O.A.H. Bunch from falling apart. Most of the previous members were eliminated, Needle insisted on defecting to FreeSmart, and Pin’s arrogance drove away Nickel, leading him to go rogue. Only Coiny was on her side, and unfortunately her leadership could not pin down another victory. The game was rigged against her anyway. Those “prizes” were just a way for other contestants to take pleasure in her torture, in retribution for mistakes that were, in hindsight, kind of her own fault.

With her wheels revving, Pin faced Ice Cube. “Look, Icy, I’m sorry. I was just worried for you, because I saw the alliance calling you garbage, and besides they kicked you out later and—“

Ice Cube kicked Pin dismissively. “Revenge!”

Ruby slapped Pin’s face. “Shouldn’t have gotten me voted off!”

“And besides, you destroyed our prize!” shouted Golf Ball. “Now we have to battle for your stupid farm.”

Pin sighed. She knew where she wasn’t wanted. Her wheels buzzed as she set a course for Yoyle City. Maybe there was something in the city that could help her find the real producers of BFDI. The ones that ruined her life.

Once she did, all the other contestants would be sorry they never listened to her.

Just as Pin arrived on the outskirts of Yoyle City, a rainstorm crackled in the Yoyle sky. “It’s raining!” Pin squealed to no one in particular. Just saying that reminded her of leading the Squishy Cherries. Another team she messed up. How does it feel to have the other team split into two so you can stand a chance?

Pin lunged forward, but she could not move a bit. Her wheels, already dented from the landing in the WTF, had short-circuited. “Oh no! I’m stuck!” screamed Pin into the distance.

Either she was too far away for the WTFers to hear her, or they just didn’t care.

She couldn’t even hop like she used to because she was too heavy now, and she was the wrong shape for rolling like a wheel.

Then, Pin realized there was another way. She closed her eyes, and her vision faded into a scarlet and copper kaleidoscope.

Coiny? Are you there?

Oh, Pin! Thank mint I can still hear you. Now what was that you said about who controlled the game?

Never mind that. I’m in a rainstorm now and my wheels aren’t working. Please help me!

I can try to get there, but I don’t have access to the FreeSmart Van, so it will take a while.

Okay. I’ll just wait here, outside of Yoyle City.

Then, Pin heard a voice from the physical world. “I can help you!”

But it was definitely not the assistance she wanted.

“Leafy?! I thought Gelatin got rid of you for good!”

“So did I, but someone brought me back. I think it may have been Firey. Anyway, do you still need my help? You look stuck!”

“No! I don’t need you. Coiny will save me!”

Then, Pin’s vision blurred again.

Pin! I don’t think I’ll be able to get there. Evil Leafy is chasing me, and it looks like she’s gonna get me—

A dark staticky sound interrupted the transmission.

“Well, it looks like your clone just ate Coiny… fine. I guess you can help me. Go get me some replacement parts from one of those Yoyle stores. Put them on me when the rain stops.”

“But how do I know you won’t just kill me?” Leafy raised a metallic eyebrow.

“How about if I kill you after you fix me, I’ll bring you back and you can kill me. That way, I’ll never do it, since the only person who wants to save me is Coiny!” Pin grinned wildly.

“What? I thought you had a lot of friends now. You know, the ones that wanted to give me the death penalty.” Leafy narrowed her eyes.

“About that… I messed up. Not as much as you did, of course. But I could not be the heroic leader they needed.”

Leafy crossed her arms. “So now all you have is Coiny, and all I have is Firey. I think we could become the greatest of friends!!” Leafy formed a heart with her arms around Pin.

“Shut up and get me those parts.” Pin glared at Leafy. The rain had subsided, but Pin’s ooze kept flowing.
