Work Text:
Athelstan shivers as he pulls his oversized coat tighter around himself. He exhales and his breath hangs on the wind. He blinks and shakes his head. “Okay!” He says, throwing up his hands. “When I can see my breath in the air, it’s too cold!”
Osbert stands beside Cynlaef and they work together to lift the large spherical mound of snow onto the larger base. They get it in place and Cynlaef steps back. Obsert leans closer and packs extra snow between then two, working to make sure the middle doesn’t roll off. “Then go inside.” Osbert says as he turns and bends. He starts pulling more snow together and rolling it.
Cynlaef turns and frowns at Athelstan. “Are you okay?” He asks, watching Athelstan’s reaction.
“I’m cold!” Athelstan whines.
Cynlaef inclines his head and glances at the front door. “Then go inside.”
Athelstan huffs. “We all need to go inside!” He hisses. “Together!”
Osbert shakes his head. “Jack doesn’t have a head.”
Cynlaef frowns, turning to look back at Osbert curiously. “Jack?”
“Jack Frost?” Athelstan asks.
Obsert shakes his head. “Black.”
Athelstan blinks. “Jack Black? You named the snowman Jack Black?”
Osbert nods. “Yes I did and he needs a head.”
Athelstan glares at him and wraps his arms harder around himself. “But what if I need head?”
Osbert shakes his head. “Later.”
Cynlaef raises an eyebrow. “Damn. If he turns down sex, must be very important to finish the snowman.”
“It is.” Osbert says as he hefts up the head and turns to place it on top. “Now help me. We can bone after we finish him.”
“I’m good with that.” Cynlaef says, stepping closer.
Athelstan huffs out and crosses his arms. “I’m still cold!” He whines.
