The day is hot, the sky is clear of any clouds and the sun is shining ever so brightly but that doesn’t stop Hyunjin and Chan from practicing on the field. Felix however has taken refuge in the players sitting area where he’s protected from the harsh heat and with him is Jisung, the two of them are watching their boyfriends sweat it out while kicking a ball around. Soon enough the two players approached the bench and Hyunjin threw his entire sweaty self onto Felix moaning in exhaustion while Felix rolled his eyes exasperated and wiped the sweat off the footballer with a towel.
“Yongbokie~ I’m so thirsty” Hyunjin whined playfully, peeking an eye at his boyfriend who in return tapped his forehead with a cold bottle of water.
“Then you shouldn’t have gone and played football when it's so hot” he chuckled softly as he massaged the muscles of the footballer’s thighs.
“I have to play well for the next match against our rival university”
Felix knew not to argue with him about it cause it’s futile, despite being in an engineering university Hyunjin is still passionate about football too. Then again the man is passionate about everything he does. They’re both in their last year of studies, so they’ve been very stressed out and too busy finishing their thesis and final year projects to do more than meet up. The only blessing they have is they share a dorm together which allows them to cuddle at night. Felix sighs softly as he runs his fingers along the soft bristles of Hyunjin’s buzz cut hair, he enjoys the texture and he knows Hyunjin enjoys the soothing motions so it's a win win situation.
Felix was still surprised the man actually shaved his head, he remembered their conversation about it and how Hyunjin wanted to try something completely new. Felix being the loving boyfriend he is, supported him all the way but what he didn't consider is how hot Hyunjin is with just about any hairstyle and how it made him more popular then he already is. It annoyed him seeing all the girls and guys fawn over Hyunjin, leaving him bags of snacks and drinks at the bleachers hoping to get his attention even though the entire university know that they're together. What came as a surprise however was when he would receive gifts as well after he dyed his hair black in solidarity with Hyunjin, not one to be left out. This led to Jisung dying his hair blue, and they all soared in popularity.
“Do you want to eat cold noodles after this?” Felix offers, after snapping himself out of his thoughts.
Hyunjin nods eagerly as he sits up to play the other half of the game, “I would love to,” he grins at him before running off to the field.

Felix side eyed the many bags sitting on the bleachers with most of them having Hyunjin's name on them, a gift. He rolls his eyes as Hyunjin happily accepts them and joins Felix to their cafeteria to eat the cold noodles. Now seated and with their bowls of refreshing cold noodles, Hyunjin checks the bags one by one.
“Yongbok, look, it's your favourite chocolate!” Hyunjin grinned as he held up a bar of black forest chocolate. “Now we don't have to buy anymore. I'm going to give most of them to Jisung though, it's too much and he eats a lot with Chan.” His bottom lip juts out as he sorts through the bags, only keeping two bags of goodies for themselves and the rest is to be distributed to their friends.
Felix respectfully stays quiet, biting his tongue as he refuses to bring down Hyunjin's cheery disposition. He's happy and secure in his relationship but Hyunjin is friendly and dumb; which means he never understands when he's being hit on. It took him so long to secure Hyunjin, not because the man is hard to trust or anything but because he didn't realise that Felix is hitting on him or flirting. But now that they're two years into their relationship, he realised how much of a himbo his beloved is, he's whipped for him and he always draws him but he's still so clueless at times.
“There's a party at the bar tonight, do you want to go? It's seniors only to celebrate our last year” Felix asked, taking a bite of his food. The bar is close to their university and a staple for the students who go there to drink and let loose, especially after finals.
Hyunjin tilts his head at the question and nods, “sounds like fun. We haven't had much time to have fun.”
“Mhm, the gang is going too. Chan managed to drag Minho to the party too” Felix grinned cheekily, knowing how much the man hates social gatherings but he's a sucker for Chan and Jisung. Hyunjin giggles, already anticipating what might happen tonight. The two quickly finished their food and drove back to their dorm to get ready for the party.
Hyunjin, still tired from practicing, chose to go for a more casual wear, in the form of their university sweater, grey jeans and sneakers with some rings and necklaces. Felix went for a more fancy wear, black turtleneck and black jeans with boots, he's wearing his black rimmed glasses forgoing the usual contact lenses to give his eyes a break. Felix accessories with rings and the bear necklace Hyunjin gave him for their one year anniversary, along with butterfly earrings. They look every bit of the cliche jock and nerd couple and he loves it.
They chose to ride a taxi to the bar, just in case they got drunk and they didn't want to risk driving. Upon arrival, Felix could see the party was already in full swing with live music playing by a local band and bottles of beer and hard liquor scattered on the tables. Hyunjin wraps an arm around his shoulders and brings him into the bar, it wasn't that crowded but he recognises his batch. Hyunjin guides Felix to a table further away where their gang has claimed it as their own.
“Lixie!” Jisung cheered happily as he tackled the black haired nerd, hugging him tightly and dragging him away from Hyunjin to sit down next to him. Hyunjin huffed out as he claimed the spot on the other side of Felix, a glass of an unknown drink is thrusted into his hand by Changbin who winked at him mischievously. Felix and Jisung chatted happily with each other, sipping on the drinks provided by the others, even though they saw each other earlier. The others wave happily at them, even Minho seems to be relaxed and enjoying their company as he leans on Chan who keeps an arm around the cat.
The group were enjoying themselves, bickering and teasing each other like always. However the table goes silent when they are approached by a girl, Felix is already narrowing his eyes at her. He knows who she is, Min-soo, the so-called princess of the university proclaimed to be the prettiest and smartest girl. She has made her crush on Hyunjin very clear and most of the university shipped them, saying that the star football player and ace student of aerospace engineering should be dating someone like her.
“Uh Hyunjin?” She spoke up, she was holding a small bag offering it to her. Hyunjin blinks owlishly at her and accepts the bag, he sets it on the table to pull out the box from the bag.
Felix's jaw clenches as he glares at her, bitch face going strong. “For someone who's self proclaimed to be the prettiest, you sure love to hit on taken men cause you can't find your own” Felix snarked at her, Jisung and Seungmin giggled at his words.
“Oh I can find my own, but I want yours instead.” She smiles sweetly. Felix clenches his fists and is about to get up, when Hyunjin says excitedly to Felix holding his arm firmly.
“Lixie look! It's matching bracelets!” Hyunjin said with a grin, showing the two silver bracelets in the box. Min-soo smiles smugly, thinking she finally got Hyunjin's attention with the bracelet only to be proven wrong.
“Now we can have matching bracelets, baby” Hyunjin takes them out of the box, holding Felix's hand in his hand to slide the bracelet on and tightening it around his wrist before putting his one on. “See now we have matching bracelets. We have matching rings, earrings and necklaces and even sweatshirts. Now we have bracelets.”
Felix blinks at Hyunjin and wonders why he was even jealous in the first place, the rest of the boys were watching while holding their breath to stop themselves from laughing. Min-soo fumes and slams her hand on the table to get Hyunjin's attention, “that bracelet is for me and you, Hyunjin!” She said in frustration, her eyes glaring at Felix like this is his fault.
“Why? We're not dating? I don't want to do matching jewellery with anyone but my baby” Hyunjin is confused, he thought the gift is for him and Felix. This is where everyone erupts into laughter, Felix included, someone's hand is banging on the table (Minho) and a few are clapping (Jisung, Felix.) Someone fell off their chair, (Chan.)
Min-soo's face turns bright red and she runs out of the bar, Felix grinned at Hyunjin when he finally regained some sense of control. He slides his hand on Hyunjin's jaw to the back of his head and pulls him closer, “you're so perfect babe” Felix murmured with a quick kiss. Hyunjin perks up and smiles brightly at Felix, his eyes turning into crescents.
“So does that mean you like them?”
“I love them. I love you”
“I love you too.”
