Since little, the prince Shanks has been asking questions. Mostly for learning facts in daily life.
“Roger?” He was five that time, dragging a corner of Roger’s hem, “How did I come to this world?” Because both of his parents were male, this is a question worth pondering.
“Oh that’s easy,” Roger said, “In this world you can use the power of ABO, power of trans, or buy some magical potion at black market, certainly, you can also get adopted…” He lowers his voice down on the last one. “Which one is the way I was born?” Shanks asked. Roger silenced.
Anyway that’s not the most important part, while he grew up to be a heartthrob he also learned he’s to treat love with a bunch of pure-true love stories. He believes a first kiss equals true love. To make sure he won’t become some playboy like Benn, Shanks has been alive in this world for 16 years but hasn't kissed or loved anyone yet. Sounds like people in the game that you can never be with him in your lifetime. Incidentally, he asked Roger to prove his thoughts were right or not. Roger agrees, because Rayleigh was his first kiss.
Today Shanks was taking a walk outside the palaces, unlike usual just handing out at backyards and wealthy areas, he goes to the pier with full disguise. He loves the ocean and wishes he can have a nice adventure with friends on sail. Actually the reason he came to this place is because he got grounded by Rayleigh, therefore he sneaks out and comes to this place. The shore looks beautiful with the sunset and magnificent ships, coincidentally, some ships are landed by and loading their stuff up. Shanks wondered if he could secretly get on the board and take a trip. Action is better than thoughts, Shanks hides behind the bucket of items, then as there is perfect timing when nobody is going to notice him. Ready, steady, go.
“AH!” while he rushed he hit someone that he did not see, as Shanks wants to say sorry that person is already in water: “Save me! I can’t swim!” It’s a boy that seems to have a similar age to him, but that’s not the most important thing. Shanks jumps down into the water without a hesitation, using the skills he learned to save this boy who is drowning fast. Luckily, both of them got up to the surface, by the time they got to the ashore the boy had already fainted. “He seems to need artificial respiration.” Someone in the crowd says.
Shanks was looking around to see if anyone else wanted to help, but the boy he saved had a big red nose and not that good looking face(compared to Shanks). Looks like no one would like to randomly try to be kind. Even though Shanks still wanted to keep his concept, he knows it’s his own fault that caused his citizens to drown. He seals the person's nose with one hand, fills his lungs with air, places his mouth over the lips of the injured person and blows slowly and makes sure each insufflation should last approximately 2 seconds. That’s how he gave away his first kiss. The kiss was warmed, is this the taste of true love? The boy woke up startled eventually.
*squirt water* “What- I am still alive!” The boy is surprised about the fact he did not die from that, additionally squirting the water onto Shanks’s face. “I am so sorry, please accept my apology.” Shanks can now clearly see what the boy looks like. Without the hat where now it’s deep into the water his long blue-oceanic hair is wet and messy, it was pretty beautiful… For Shanks. “Wait, wait, so you are the one who pushes me off into the sea!?” The sudden angryness made Shanks overwhelmed: “But I saved you too!” Shanks refutes. The two boys were about to fight, this moment Shanks heard the call he panicked with: “Shanks! There you are!”
“Uh? Rayleigh?!” Shanks knows he’s in trouble, a huge one. Shanks subconsciously want to run away, but the boys grab his head and don’t let him go.
“Don’t you think I will forgive you that easily, give me my hat back!” He yells. Shanks struggles and unfortunately he fails, Rayleigh using an unfriendly face to stare at him too. This time Shanks out of urgency comes wisdom, he said: “Rayleigh! I have found my true love!”
“What-!?” Rayleigh said.
