    The gods had hoped they’d been spared another war. How close they came to complete destruction had even the lighthearted, or denial ridden gods praying to chaos.

    A brutal realization of how soft they’d become over a millennia. How utterly pitiful that chaos thrives in desperation and did not rush to their aid.

    Tartarus had been waiting a very long time to perfect his plan, something Kronos had failed to do, planting dreams here and there, false promises and untrained heroes Kronos was nothing if not reckless.

    Then came Gaea more focused, more planned but ultimately underestimated the true heroes of the modern age. But the primordial had been planning, training, watching, learning.

    For the first time since his destruction he was ready to begin the end.
