Work Text:

Rainier hugged the crying child in his arms, oh, the little fluffball had been so tearful today. He wiped the warm tears from his puffy cheeks with his thumb, his little son was usually so brave and strong.

"What's wrong?" he asked quietly, his son was usually so strong.

He sniffled as he pressed his snub nose into his father's neck, little Kazuo was tired, his small but rapidly pounding heart slowly settling into a calm, steady state. Oh, how Rainier loved him, straight into the safest zone.

"I had a nightmare," the sad four-year-old mumbled and sniffled, oh dear, another stupid dream. Fifty bites and yet he remembered those idiotic dreams again, Rainier almost wanted to growl but he couldn't do it in front of him. Kazuo was already confused and sad enough in his puppy state.

Rainier stroked his claws through his junior's fluffy, unkempt hair until he fell asleep peacefully.
A soft sigh left his mouth, five years ago, when he took over the upbringing of his son, he hadn't expected such nightmares. Hell, his angel, his baby and his future best friend (probably his heir) shouldn't remember anything.

How many times would Rainier and his mate, little Kazuo, have to bite before he finally let go? Rainier clicked his tongue angrily, this so-called office had to be the trigger.

Of course they were, a bunch of idiots who couldn't even bite their friend, no, their mate, even though he was standing DIRECTLY in front of them.

"Martin, have there been any advances from this useless bunch?" he asked his butler in a low but confident voice without looking up. As always, how could it be otherwise, his butler was always there when he needed him.

The blond man stood there, head held high, well dressed in the finest cloth uniform a butler of his size could ever get. "My lord, a certain Gerald Dohman tried to speak to the young gentleman today before he ran off."

He hated this Gerald Dohman more than anything, this so-called uncle who had been trying to get to his little puppy for four years. It was an open secret that this Dohman and his beloved partner fought like ancient Romans.

"Well?"

The butler knelt down to slowly dim the bedside light, Martin hummed quietly to himself, "The office boy tried to bite the young gentleman, but yes, I intervened, and you know the rest."

He growled, his husband wanted to leave the city and start a better, nicer life in the kingdom. The werewolf clicked his tongue as he remembered.

"Martin, pack your things and call the moving company, we're leaving next week."

The servant bowed slightly, placing his gloved hand over his heart, and replied in his usual calm voice.

"Of course, my lord."

Notes:

Little funfact:

I read rainier as reiner, it was soo confusing till I realized my mistake. Ye, or xia as xai

Or read ingrid as the German version of it.
