Drip
Bloop bloop bloop
Ajax watched as the potion bubbled once he added a drop of some elixir for this tranquilizer he was making.
He's surprised that Crewel even gave him the recipe for this, he wouldn't (or shouldn't) be learning this until his second year at the school, but when there's a bunch of overblots and he's there for them all, teachers don't really care as much about what the magicless student learns in the name of self defense.
The potion was a nice purple as it bubbled. He stirred clockwise 3 times and when it seemed less ....boiling.. he put it in the vials he had on him.
He's aware he seems either paranoid or like a serial killer with this. He knows it's weird to carry these and syringes around the school, but can you blame him? Students are either trying to fight him or kill him or something in between there! This is self defense.
"Okay....this'll last about half hour," he mumbled to himself.
Grim was there rested by Ajax as he watched the prefect pour the potion in the vial. He had been reading off a couple ingredients and now that he was no longer needed, he decided to take a nap, the soft purring filling the potions lab.
Ajax and Grim were alone in the lab, Crewel having given them access to it on this fine weekend.
Now, he feels he should test it, just to double check it works.. but on who?
His eyes shifted towards Grim, before shaking his head. He could probably use it on himself, it'd probably be dumb, but so were staff members allowing him to make magic sleep drugs.
In the evening, after the cafeteria served dinner and after he and Grim were back at Ramshackle, he had taken one of the vials out of the drawer of his nightstand and opened it. He made sure Grim was already asleep, and drank the potion inside the vial.
When he woke up, he didn't recall falling asleep, that was either an effect of the potion or his caffeine addiction was unknown (and potentially irrelevant in his opinion.) It was one in the morning when he woke up, this was close to the same effect as allergy pills but also different.
Allergy pills usually took a bit to get him to sleep, but the tiredness usually set in a few minutes after taking the two the little packets had to offer.
This, however, was instant. There hadn't been time (from what he recalls) to feel tired.
Conclusion: this potion was definitely going to be useful for overblots or dealing with the average bully.
