It was December of 2018, all of the boys managed to finish the survival show, while also managing to debut altogether. Although this was only the beginning of the boy's journey. They still have a long way to go, and they’re willing to do what they can to get to the places they want to reach. While most of the boys are doing their own thing, in their own way calling it celebrating, Minho happens to be sitting next to a fireplace.
While Minho thought he was alone, off to the right of the room is the kitchen, which is where Felix currently is baking. Just to keep his mind off everything that happened during the survival show. How he and Minho were eliminated, but got brought back and was allowed to debut with everyone due to high demand of all of them being in Stray Kids. The kitchen was quiet, besides the quiet hums Felix let out. He quietly sighed as he placed the brownie pans into the pre-heated oven, and turned on a timer.
As he left the kitchen he saw Minho sitting on the floor near the fireplace, and quietly went over and sat next to him. “Thought you would’ve gone with everyone else hyung.” He said, startling Minho from his thoughts. Minho lightly shrugged his shoulders. “Didn’t feel like going out.” He said, to which Felix nodded. There was a moment of silence before Minho let out a sigh. “I can’t believe there were so many people that actually wanted us to debut with the rest of the group.” Minho mumbled, which Felix nodded in response.
“Honestly, it was overwhelming and shocking..” Felix lightly chuckled in response. “But hey… we made it didn’t we?..” Felix asked, which caused the older to chuckle and nod his head. “We did, didn’t we?” Another moment of silence went by, it was comfortable in a way to the pair. “Oh! Right, I placed brownies in the oven. Do you want to help me decorate them when they’re done?” Felix asked, to which Minho chuckled at before agreeing.
It took a little while of sitting in silence before the timer went off, causing Felix to stand and motion Minho to follow him as they went to the kitchen. Felix turned the timer off, before going to get the oven mitts. He went over to the oven where Minho already had it open waiting on Felix to take the brownies out the oven. Once the brownies were out and once the oven was turned off. Felix placed them down somewhere to cool off.
As they waited for the brownies to cool off, they enjoyed the silence they were in at the moment. A couple minutes after the silence, Felix checked if the brownies cooled off enough, to which they did and motioned Minho to get the stuff for the decorations. “Christmas decorations?” Minho asked the other with a light laugh. “Whattt? It’s to get into the spirit!” Felix replied with a light laugh. “Fair enough I guess.” Minho said, before they got to decorating.
“It’s peaceful without all the chaos from the others..” Felix said out of the blue, to which Minho hummed in response. “But it’s nice to have the chaos around, no?” Minho asked, to which Felix nodded too. They went back to decorating in silence, before Felix stopped and stopped Minho afterwards, signaling that the brownies looked good enough. The pair smiled at the brownies proud of their work, regardless of the fact that they looked like a mess a bit.
They both ended up getting one to eat, before laughing at each other, because the other ended up with icing on their face. Once they were done, they went back into the living room where the fireplace was, and sat down in front of it. The quiet crackling of the fire burning against wood was calming to the pair. Felix soon moved closer to the other and laid his head on Minho’s shoulder resting it there.
It was peaceful, but also awkward because none of the other members were home yet, so the loudness wasn’t in the house just yet. Felix let out a soft sigh, before closing his eyes. Minho noticed and brought a hand to the other’s head and gently patted him there till he fell asleep. Minho softly smiled. Although he was happy, his smile was sad. He knew if he wasn’t able to debut with the others, he’d be missing out on moments like this, and he was grateful and happy to have debuted.
Not long afterwards, the others came home. Minho looked back at them with a light smile, and motioned to them to stay silent, to which they did, before heading off to their respectful rooms. Minho looked back at Felix who was peacefully sleeping, before gently laying his head onto the other’s, and shortly falling asleep afterwards. It was calming and peaceful, to feel at home with a bunch of people, who he didn’t know that well. Minho, who grew up as an only child, ended up with brothers, and he couldn’t be happier.

This was originally going to be uploaded into a winter writing event, from the same discord server as before. My day was originally the 30th of December, but as it the day slowly came closer I started questioning if the event was going to continue, because the book was never uploaded onto the wattpad account, and nor were the works that were worked on for it 😭Pretty sure the owner of the server, runs the account, so I'm sure they were simply busy and couldn't upload it. So I hope y'all enjoyed this New Years/Late Christmas gift.
