Caitlyn let out a hefty groan before loudly plopping onto the couch. Her weight had slightly squashed the decorative pillows you so graciously put there. She understood that they were there to look pretty, but damn they hurt like hell on impact. Caitlyn begrudgingly pushed them off to the side before leaning back while closing her eyes. Being an officer was never easy, she was released early due to an 'incident.' She was a bit pissed when approached with the idea at first, but then she remembered what waited for her at home. You. Each time she would have an exhausted day and end up home around the late PMs, she would open the door to see you somewhere around the house. Caitlyn would locate you by sound before stumping over to you and wrapping her arms around you from behind. She'd nuzzle her head into your neck to get a whiff of what she had missed all day. You'd turn your head to smile at her. You would thinking about asking how her day was, but her actions were enough to paint a not so happy pictures.
You had no shame in catering to Caitlyn. You loved it. She was always so hard-headed and stone cold with her fellow coworkers. It was a pleasant change when the both of you started to date because now you could see what the universe missed out on. You'd often giggle to yourself each time she'd slip her hands into your shirt as she cuddled you, eagerly trying to hold you closer although you both were as close as magnets. Caitlyn gave up long ago trying to hide how much she cared for you. It was undeniable each time you got sick or each time she would be stuck on a case and had to leave you in the bed alone at night. Worrywart seems excess, though entirely not inaccurate. Caitlyn cared about you while still trying to get things done on her own as well. Which is why as of recent, she's been busier than ever. Criminals have been all over the news and she seems obsessed with trying to find their source.
Caitlyn believes that all the criminals had a mastermind. It doesn't seem so ridiculous, but if you wanted to spiral into a complicated rabbit hole, you would've just watched YouTube essay videos.
Caitlyn tilted her head to the left. The atmosphere was unusually quiet. Uncomfortably quiet. She couldn't hear the sound of your voice trailing from the laundry room during your rowdy debates over the phone. She couldn't hear the clashing of the dishes in the kitchen as you hummed a lovely song. She couldn't hear your footsteps approaching the hallway, much softer after awakening from the nap. She couldn't even hear the loud sound of the bathroom's tub draining after one of your long 'self-help' baths. Caitlyn wondered if you weren't home, but had a short flashback to seeing your car in the driveway. It's partially why she got excited to be home anyway. Regardless of your location, she lazily dragged her body toward your shared bedroom to be rid of her uniform. She wore a loose navy blue tank top paired with fuzzy pajama shorts. Caitlyn yawned, directing back toward the main part of the house, then heading to the kitchen. Her curiosity peaked as she opened to fridge. Caitlyn was hungry. At least she would have been if she got out later. Caitlyn was awfully good at waiting til proper meal times, so much that she didn't care to snack on things unless it was during a coordinated brunch, movie, or any outing.
Caitlyn frustratingly shut the fridge, suddenly more disappointed about her blessing. Her eyes flickers to the kitchen window just above the sink. The house you shared had a large backyard. It wasn't intentional to have and the two of you were still debating on what to do with it. All that was there was a big pool. It seemed like enough for a backyard the both of you weren't planning to do much with anyway. Caitlyn could only see the sides of the pool, so she stared hopelessly. As if she was expecting something to happen, she squinted at the details of the water. Caitlyn took a moment before her face went stern. That water definitely moved. Caitlyn waited, keeping a stone-cold glare at the movement of the mini ocean. God, was she going insane? You're not here for one day and she's seeing things. Caitlyn then flinched at a instant movement.
SPLASH!
The waves were now ripping and rushing around the walls of the pool as if a tornado had just hit. Someone had to be there. Caitlyn widened her eyes, ready to beat the life out of whoever snuck into their backyard just to play in their pool. Even though they had never used it, it was still expensive as hell. Not that it mattered to Caitlyn or her family of riches. Caitlyn turned away to head to the sliding door that connected their wall next to the kitchen to the wide open backyard. Her feet stepped on their own before she had a thought that caused her body to halt spontaneously. She hadn't seen you anywhere, couldn't hear you in the house, and saw something in the pool. The pieces add up perfectly. Caitlyn looked down with a breath of relief as she slid the backyard door open, not even wanting to look at you after her silly thought process. Caitlyn felt so stupid about that 'silly' little thought nearly making her pull out her gun. "Love?" Caitlyn called out with a slight bitter tone left on her tongue from the shame.
"Yes?" You call back out in return to her presence. It felt so good to hear your voice again that it brought her to lift her eyes from the ground up to you in the pool. Her eyes wandered unintentionally, but boy is she glad they did. She immediately noticed what was going on.
Caitlyn stepped out, not turning away from you as she slid the door closed behind her, "Are you wearing anything?"
"Nope, why? Is that a problem?" You changed your octave instantly. Your voice went a bit deeper and sweeter, making your words dance in Caitlyn's head. She shook her head as she bit her bottom lip while she glanced down at the water to see only blurs of your nude body. She wished she could see the whole thing. Caitlyn was good at controlling herself. For the most part, at least. She didn't cave at simple teases, but the problem was that you loved to toy with her. You'd flirt, joke, touch, or do anything to push her buttons and see what reaction you'd get. It was always exciting because you always had new ways to get Caitlyn to show you her dominant side. Caitlyn loved this as well, but she could never tell you that. It might ruin the fun.
"Is this bothering you," You purred as you rest your elbows on the dry concrete at the edge of the pool, "darling?"
Caitlyn's cheeks flamed up profusely. This was always the best part. You could see the exact moments her lips would go dry. How her lips would part, trying to come up with the most informed version of an answer. Caitlyn wanted to tear her eyes away from you so badly to avoid this mess, but she just couldn't. Just seeing your bare shoulders above the water made her swallow down any of the impulsive thoughts she was having. Caitlyn had almost completely forgotten all about her boring shitty day. You had that effect on her and Caitlyn loved it.
Caitlyn shook her head a bit hesitantly, "Not at all. It's good you're making use of the pool anyway."
Her obvious delay in a reaction was enough to make you hunger for more. Seeing Caitlyn like this made your heart melt more than anything. Once again, seeing a part of her no one else does. "You could join me, my love. I wouldn't mind." You said as if it was the easiest thing in the world. Caitlyn bit the inside of her cheek at the offer. Of course she wanted to go in with you. Caitlyn hadn't actually gone swimming in a long time. Even before you both moved in together, the pool at her parent's mansion was too far from her room for her to want to go out for a swim whenever she wanted. At the age she did the most swimming, she couldn't even do long division yet. Around the time she had more free will and control over her life, she stayed soaked in her training to be an officer or studying to apply for the colleges she dedicated all four years of high school to get into. It paid off, even though it left less time for the pool. She had been invited a few times by a family friend, Jayce, but she almost never took up the offer after she turned twelve.
She was no stranger to swimming, she could swim excellently. Caitlyn just didn't have an interest until now. Suddenly she now wanted to show you how to do flips and tricks in the water. She felt a bit determined to impress you. Caitlyn still wasn't sure if it was because you were in a state of undress or because you're her girlfriend. It might be both. Being with you in the pool could also help her relieve the long-short day she's had. Even though she had almost completely vanished her day's montage from her brain, there was no hurt in complaining to the partner she loved most in the world. You certainly never minded her ranting either. "That sounds good, let me go grab my bathing suit." Caitlyn faced back to the door behind her, already in motion of trying to slide the door open once more.
Your voice interrupts her, "There's no need, my love. Just strip and come in." Caitlyn's hand froze on the handle of the sliding door. Her eyes widened as she peered around in a slow one-eighty. Caitlyn's whole face was a rosy shade when you winked at her lurking eyes. You knew Caitlyn couldn't resist you or your body. All those games you play make it impossible for her to win. You can watch her visibly calculate what she wants to do next. She doesn't mind going for a dip and spending time with you, so why would she decline? You didn't want to toot you own horn, but you knew what was up from the moment she saw your bare collarbone above the water levels. Caitlyn was going to need some extra convincing to come in the pool. You then walked a bit closer to the shallow end, stepping further toward the surface. You ascended two sets of stairs inside your pool that led up to her destination. But you stopped.
You stopped right in front of her, only ankles deep within the water. Caitlyn was unable to resist shifting her focus down. Boom. She was right where you wanted her. Her eyes examined every part of your body. Every birth mark, crease in your skin, the shape of your figure, and everything in between. The silence had loomed back over the house. However this time, it was by her designed. Many thoughts and words flowed throughout her brain. Some of the thoughts were loud screams while others were prayers thanking the angels for sending such a beautiful person on this earth. Caitlyn tried to maintain a straight face as well. The shock in her eyes still gave away everything. Caitlyn was completely hopeless. She absolutely could not say no now. She wasn't sure what she would have even answered before, maybe some alter acceptance or a slight dip in with her toes in the water instead. Now she was plunging in face first into your ocean of seduction. There was no fighting her thoughts anymore.
"Alright, then if you'll excuse me." A small smirk was formed on her face as she slipped the spaghetti straps down from her loose tank top. You stared dreamily at Caitlyn as she got undressed as well. She was more than attraction. Muscles big enough to make a grown man cry, waist small enough to fit her in a tennis racket, and her face looked so concentrated, as if she knew you were watching. Her eyes make their way back up to yours. The eye contact leaves much to be desired. Though one thing is clear: The pool is definitely going to need a cleaning afterward.
