if bugs and daffy had not met before the looney bin:
-bugs loves talking about being a movie star/working with warner bros because it was the best time of his life: (ex. "what job did i have before i was sent here? i was an actor, doc! i was havin' a drink with all the stars, i was practically the mascot of the film industry!"). and as soon as he starts, he won't stop until daffy finally shuts him up, which takes a while no matter what.
-bugs would never admit it, but having daffy around has made his life a little more 'lifelike' again. if daffy had never been sent to the ward, bugs would've continued to feel like a shell of the fantastic star he feels he's supposed to be. daffy has also given bugs someone to talk to when he's at his lowest: because bugs knows that behind daffy's outer shell of sassy and crude remarks, daffy has a heart and can't stand seeing bugs mope.
if the two had met before the psych ward/general hcs
-daffy used to be a lot snappier with bugs, (yknow, acting like his does in the actual show), but ever since they were thrown into the ward he's grown kinder because bugs is the only one he has left; without bugs, daffy is all alone.
-the lack of a stage/audience is really getting to bugs. he feels lonely basically all the time, even though he has daffy around. not that he doesn't appreciate his friend's prescence: he would literally crumble to pieces without a soul by his side. sure there are the other patients, and there are the doctors, but we all know that just wouldn't hit the same.
-bugs loves to make up little stories/scenarios when he's bored. they used to just be about him (like the cartoon 'rabbit hood') but nowadays they're mostly about him and daffy (like "wabbit season! duck season!"), and often rambles about them when the two are in private or are bored. secretly he's really enthusiastic about his stories, but when he talks to daffy about them he says it mockingly/sarcastically so daffy doesn't think he's gone soft (daffy would still love him regardless).
-and daffy loves hearing bugs ramble about his made up scenarios, sometimes even adding to them (which leaves both of them laughing).
-sometimes when bugs is bored and daffy is nearby, he sings or hums little tunes he knows they both know. if daffy's in a good mood, he'll sing along- but not usually. usually, daffy just grumbles and says something like 'yeah yeah yeah, that thing. what exactly are you getting at?'. it still usually cracks bugs up, whether daffy's response is positive or negative.
-bugs hates taking medicine, and tries to avoid it as much as possible. he hates the feeling of being sedated or loopy, and has had bad experiences with taking meds before (like having really bad side effects). this is mostly why he's a total angel in terms of behaviour, and another reason why he hides his feelings from the doctors (because he's afraid of being put on antidepressants).
-daffy on the other hand often has so much trouble controlling his emotions (mostly anger) that he often can't hide it from the doctors, no matter how hard he tries. he's used to medicine, and was never particularly afraid of it to begin with- that would be wimpy, to say the least.
