Chapter Text
Hooper was wandering around the camp. He had just been notified of something in the nearby woods and was heading to check it out. He hadn’t gotten far when he noticed a bird with some magnificent plumage. He was distracted and focused entirely on this bird.
Suddenly, his fingers started to merge together, his bones started feeling hollow and breakable, his organs started to shift and change. God, it was awful. Soon enough, Hooper’s skull started to change, his legs began to bend in awful places. Hooper closed his eyes, hoping it would all be over soon and it was just a dream.
When Hooper opened his eyes, he couldn’t believe it, he was in fact a bird now. He didn’t understand it, but he decided to try and fly. However, he couldn’t. Something held him back, it wasn’t a physical thing, but more emotional. He felt terrified to try. He stood there, wings outstretched and his heart, which was now tiny, was pounding a great amount.
His body also ached like hell. He then closed his wings and started to think hard about being human again. His body began to change again, his bones straightening out, his organs growing and shifting back into place, his skull once more going back to a familiar shape. Hooper opened his eyes again. His body was human again.
Hooper looked around, the sky, the trees, the ground, it was all blurry. And eventually, everything went dark.
