Snap and Smooch

Summary:

Yangyang never thought a simple snap of his fingers could lead to such chaos. After unintentionally casting a spell on his dormmates Kun and Ten, they’re forced into a series of magical kisses whenever Yangyang snaps.

Work Text:

Yangyang was done. Absolutely, positively done. The dorm was supposed to be a haven of relaxation, but living with Kun and Ten had turned it into a never-ending battlefield. They bickered about everything—how to brew tea, the right way to load the dishwasher, even which side of the couch was better for lounging. It was driving Yangyang up the wall.

One evening, as Kun and Ten argued yet again over whose turn it was to take out the trash, Yangyang sat on the couch, rubbing his temples. His patience had worn thin, and desperation led him to an idea both brilliant and reckless.

Weeks ago, he'd found an old spellbook in a dusty corner of a second-hand bookstore. He hadn't given it much thought, but now, flipping through its pages, a particular spell caught his eye: "Snap and Smooch." According to the description, every time he snapped his fingers, two people would immediately kiss. It seemed ridiculous, but Yangyang was at his wit’s end. If this didn’t shut them up, nothing would.

He muttered the incantation under his breath, snapping his fingers with a mix of irritation and curiosity.

Kun and Ten froze mid-argument, their faces suddenly drawn to each other like magnets. Before they could process what was happening, they leaned in and kissed—right there in the middle of the room. The trash bag Kun had been holding dropped to the floor with a soft thud.

Yangyang's eyes widened in disbelief. It actually worked. "Whoa."

Kun and Ten jerked apart, their faces flushing deep red. They stared at each other, then at Yangyang, who was trying—and failing—to stifle a laugh.

"What the hell was that?!" Kun demanded, wiping his mouth, his voice a mix of shock and confusion.

Ten looked equally flustered. "Did we just...?"

Yangyang, still grinning, shrugged. "Guess you two needed a moment to, uh, connect."

Kun narrowed his eyes. "Yangyang, what did you do?"

"Me? Oh, nothing much," Yangyang replied nonchalantly, snapping his fingers again just to see.

Once more, Kun and Ten found themselves drawn together, lips meeting in a surprised kiss. They quickly pulled apart, glaring at Yangyang, who was now laughing so hard he had to clutch his sides.

"Yangyang!" Ten shouted, his face as red as a tomato. "Stop that!"

Kun, now thoroughly alarmed, grabbed the book from Yangyang’s hands. "Reverse it. Now."

Yangyang's laughter faded as he realized something. He flipped through the pages again, his heart sinking. "Uh... about that..."

Kun’s eyes narrowed further. "What?"

Yangyang scratched his head, avoiding their gaze. "So, funny thing... the book doesn’t have a reversal spell for this. It, uh, it might be permanent."

There was a moment of stunned silence before Ten exploded. "What do you mean, permanent?!"

"I mean," Yangyang said sheepishly, "every time I snap my fingers, you two are going to... well, you know."

Kun’s jaw dropped. "Yangyang, you’ve got to fix this!"

"I'm working on it!" Yangyang said defensively, flipping through the book again, though he knew it was hopeless. "But until I figure something out, maybe... don't argue so much?"

Ten threw his hands in the air. "This is unbelievable. I can't believe we're stuck with this because you decided to play wizard!"

Kun glared at Yangyang, who gave an apologetic shrug. "Look, I didn’t think it would work! And you two were driving me insane with the constant fighting."

Kun and Ten exchanged a glance, both equally exasperated. Kun sighed, rubbing his temples. "Okay, fine. But you better find a way to undo this."

Yangyang gave a small smile, holding up his fingers playfully. "Until then, maybe you guys should try getting along. You know, for your own sake."

Ten pointed a finger at him. "Yangyang, if you even think about snapping—"

Yangyang smirked, raising his hands in mock surrender. "No snapping, I promise. Unless you start fighting again..."

Kun groaned. "You are impossible."

As Kun and Ten retreated to opposite ends of the dorm, Yangyang sat back, pleased with the unexpected calm. It wasn’t the solution he’d planned, but hey, at least the dorm was a little quieter. For now.

The next day, Yangyang sauntered into the practice room, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. Kun and Ten were already there, going through their warm-ups, their usual bickering simmering just beneath the surface. Xiaojun, Winwin, and Hendery were scattered around the room, stretching and chatting casually.

Yangyang couldn't resist. The spell had given him a unique power, and he was more than ready to have a little fun with it. He watched as Kun and Ten began to argue—again—this time over the timing of a particular dance move. Their voices escalated, each trying to prove their point.

With a quick snap of his fingers, Yangyang set the spell into motion.

Kun and Ten froze mid-argument, their faces inches apart. Before they could process what was happening, they leaned in and kissed. The room fell into stunned silence as Winwin, Xiaojun, and Hendery watched in disbelief.

"Wait... what?" Xiaojun blinked, his jaw dropping. "Did that just happen?"

Winwin, ever calm, raised an eyebrow. "Is this some kind of new choreography?"

Hendery, however, burst into laughter, clapping his hands. "Oh, this is too good! What is going on?"

Kun and Ten pulled apart abruptly, their faces flaming red. "Yangyang!" Kun snapped, his voice a mix of embarrassment and frustration.

Yangyang grinned, trying to contain his laughter. "What? You guys were about to start World War III over a dance step. I just... intervened."

Ten glared at him. "This isn’t funny."

"Oh, it’s a little funny," Hendery said, still laughing. "Come on, you have to admit, it's kind of cute."

Xiaojun shook his head, struggling not to laugh. "Yangyang, what did you do?"

Yangyang held up his hands, feigning innocence. "Just a little spell. Every time I snap my fingers, Kun and Ten kiss. It’s supposed to, you know, help them get along."

Winwin, ever the voice of reason, crossed his arms. "Yangyang, this is a bit much, don’t you think?"

Kun groaned, rubbing his temples. "It’s beyond much. You need to stop."

"I will, I will," Yangyang promised, though his grin suggested otherwise. "But maybe this is a sign you guys should stop fighting over every little thing."

Ten sighed, clearly exasperated. "Can we just get through practice without any more... interruptions?"

Yangyang gave a mock salute. "No more snaps. Unless absolutely necessary."

Practice resumed, but the atmosphere was lighter, the occasional stifled laugh breaking the focus. Yangyang couldn’t help himself, snapping his fingers a couple more times, eliciting more unexpected kisses and even more laughter from the group. Kun and Ten’s frustration was palpable, but even they couldn’t fully suppress their amusement at the absurdity of it all.

As they wrapped up, Xiaojun shook his head, smiling. "This has been the most interesting practice we've had in a while."

Winwin nodded. "But seriously, Yangyang, you need to find a way to undo this."

"I’m on it," Yangyang assured them, though he didn’t seem in any rush. "In the meantime, maybe think of it as a way to bring us closer together. Literally."

Kun and Ten groaned in unison, while Hendery gave Yangyang a thumbs up, still grinning. As they left the practice room, Yangyang felt a mix of satisfaction and mild guilt, watching Kun and Ten navigate their new, magically enforced closeness was just too entertaining.

***

A few days before their concert, Yangyang decided it was time to fix the mess he'd made. He couldn't risk Kun and Ten having an impromptu make-out session on stage, no matter how funny it had been so far. Determined, he convinced Kun and Ten to help him track down the spellbook to find a reversal.

The three of them ventured into the small, dusty bookstore where Yangyang had originally found the book. Shelves loomed over them, packed with ancient tomes and curious artifacts. They split up, each taking a section of the store, combing through the cluttered shelves.

Hours passed, and frustration began to set in. Kun wiped dust off his hands, glancing over at Yangyang. "Are you sure this is where you found it?"

"Positive," Yangyang replied, rifling through a particularly messy stack of books. "It was right here, somewhere."

Ten, on the other side of the room, pulled out another book and flipped through its pages. "This place is a maze. Are you sure it wasn’t just a dream, Yangyang?"

Yangyang shot him a look. "It wasn’t a dream, okay? It’s here. It has to be."

After what felt like forever, Yangyang sank onto a nearby stool, defeated. "I don’t get it. I was sure it was here. I swear it was real."

Kun and Ten exchanged a glance. Kun sighed. "So what now? We can’t go into the concert like this. One snap and we’ll end up kissing in front of thousands of people."

Yangyang rubbed his temples. "I know, I know. I’ll figure something out."

They left the bookstore empty-handed, the weight of the situation settling over them. Back at the dorm, Yangyang sat on the couch, staring at his fingers, feeling the guilt creeping in. "I’m sorry, guys. I really thought I could fix this."

Ten sat next to him, sighing. "It’s not your fault... well, okay, it kind of is. But I know you didn’t mean for it to get this out of hand."

Kun leaned against the wall, arms crossed. "We’ll just have to be careful. No arguing, no snapping, and definitely no surprises."

Yangyang nodded, determined. "Right. No more snaps. We’ll get through this concert, and I’ll keep looking for a way to reverse it. Somehow."

The tension eased a bit as the three of them agreed to be on their best behavior. Still, the thought of stepping on stage with the spell hanging over their heads made Yangyang’s stomach twist. He could only hope that luck—and a little bit of restraint—would be on their side.

***

The day of the rehearsal arrived, and the practice hall was alive with excitement and anticipation. The members of WayV moved through their routines, each focusing on perfecting every step, every note. Kun and Ten, however, were a little more on edge than usual. They kept a careful distance from each other, wary of any situation that might trigger the spell again. The last thing they needed was an unexpected kiss in front of everyone.

Yangyang, though trying to focus on his choreography, couldn’t help but feel the weight of his mistake. He knew he had to be extra cautious. The spell wasn’t just a joke anymore; it was a ticking time bomb waiting to go off at the worst possible moment.

As they practiced one of their more intense dance sequences, Yangyang found himself getting lost in the music. He always had a habit of snapping his fingers along to the beat—a small, unconscious gesture. As the beat dropped, his fingers snapped.

The effect was instantaneous. Kun and Ten, mid-move, froze as their faces began to turn towards each other, the spell pulling them in like magnets. Their eyes widened in panic, realizing what was happening.

Before their lips could meet, Winwin, always observant and quick on his feet, darted forward. With a swift motion, he placed a firm hand on each of their shoulders and pulled them apart. Xiaojun, seeing the commotion, rushed in, helping Winwin create a physical barrier between Kun and Ten. Hendery joined in, standing between them with a wide grin, as if this were just another part of the choreography.

Kun blinked in confusion, his heart pounding. "What just happened?"

"You almost kissed," Winwin said, his voice calm but serious. "Again."

Ten groaned, exasperated. "Yangyang!"

Yangyang’s face flushed with embarrassment. He held up his hands in surrender. "I swear, it was an accident! I wasn’t thinking!"

Hendery laughed, shaking his head. "Man, you’ve got to be more careful. We can’t have you setting off the spell every time the music gets good."

Xiaojun smirked, folding his arms across his chest. "At least we know what to watch for now. No way we’re letting that happen on stage."

Kun let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his hair. "This is ridiculous. We’re going to have to go through the whole concert like this, walking on eggshells."

Ten gave Yangyang a pointed look, though there was a flicker of amusement in his eyes. "You owe us big time for this."

Yangyang offered a sheepish grin, rubbing the back of his neck. "I know, I know. I’m sorry. No more snapping. I promise."

The rehearsal continued with a heightened sense of awareness. Yangyang kept his hands firmly in his pockets, determined not to make the same mistake again. The other members were equally vigilant, their eyes darting between Kun and Ten, ready to jump in if needed.

Despite the tension, there was an underlying sense of unity. The situation, as bizarre and awkward as it was, had brought them closer together. They were a team, and they weren’t going to let a magical mishap derail their performance.

As the rehearsal wrapped up, Kun and Ten made their way over to Yangyang, who was still looking a bit guilty. Kun placed a hand on Yangyang’s shoulder, his expression softer. "Just... be careful, okay? We’ve got a big night ahead."

Yangyang nodded earnestly. "Got it. No more snapping."

Ten gave a small smile, the tension easing slightly. "We’ll get through this. Just stick to the plan, and we’ll be fine."

As they left the practice room, the weight of the upcoming concert loomed over them, but so did a sense of determination. They had each other’s backs, and they were going to get through the performance without any magical incidents. At least, that was the plan.

***

The concert was in full swing, the energy from the crowd electrifying. Kun, Ten, and Xiaojun were backstage, hurriedly changing into their next set of costumes. The atmosphere was a mix of excitement and controlled chaos as they prepared for the next performance. Meanwhile, on stage, Hendery, Yangyang, and Winwin were entertaining the crowd, filling the gap with a lively ment.

Yangyang, caught up in the moment, started to tap his foot to the beat, his natural rhythm taking over. Without thinking, he began snapping his fingers to give Hendery a beat for an impromptu freestyle rap. The crowd cheered, the energy feeding into their performance.

But Yangyang had forgotten about the spell.

Backstage, as soon as Yangyang snapped his fingers, Kun and Ten, who had been fixing their costumes, felt the familiar pull. Their heads turned toward each other, their faces inching closer. This time, there was no hesitation. The spell had grown stronger, and before they could process what was happening, their lips met in a heated kiss. The magnetic pull was undeniable, and within moments, they were making out, lost in the intensity of the spell’s magic.

Xiaojun, who was in the room with them, looked up in horror. "Guys! What are you—"

He quickly realized what was happening. "Oh no, no, no!"

Thinking fast, Xiaojun bolted from the room, sprinting towards the stage. The adrenaline kicked in as he dodged crew members and stagehands, his mind racing. He burst onto the stage, the bright lights momentarily blinding him. The audience cheered, thinking his sudden appearance was part of the show.

Yangyang, still snapping along to Hendery’s rap, glanced over, surprised to see Xiaojun rushing towards him. "Xiaojun? What are you—?"

Before he could finish his sentence, Xiaojun grabbed his hand, stopping the snapping. "Yangyang, stop! You’re snapping!"

Yangyang blinked, realization dawning on his face. "Oh no… I forgot!"

Xiaojun, breathless, leaned in to whisper urgently, "Kun and Ten are... well, they're kissing like crazy backstage! You need to stop snapping!"

Yangyang’s eyes widened in panic. "Crap! I didn’t mean to!"

Hendery, catching on, smoothly transitioned the focus back to Winwin, who began talking to the crowd to keep the energy going while Yangyang and Xiaojun stepped aside. Yangyang’s face was a mix of guilt and fear. "I’ll fix this. I swear!"

Xiaojun nodded. "You better. They’re practically making out back there. You need to figure this out before we go back."

Yangyang took a deep breath, steadying himself. "Okay. No more snapping. I’ll keep my hands in my pockets if I have to."

As they returned backstage, Yangyang couldn’t help but feel a sinking feeling in his stomach. The spell was more powerful than he’d realized, and now it was spiraling out of control. Kun and Ten were sitting on opposite sides of the room, both looking thoroughly flustered, their faces red and their breathing heavy.

Kun glared at Yangyang. "You snapped again, didn’t you?"

"I... I didn’t mean to," Yangyang stammered. "It was an accident. I’m so sorry!"

Ten, still catching his breath, shook his head. "Yangyang, you really need to fix this. We can’t keep doing this every time you snap your fingers."

Yangyang nodded earnestly. "I know. I’ll find a way. But for now, I’ll keep my hands in my pockets. No more snaps. I promise."

The rest of the concert went by with everyone on high alert. Yangyang didn’t dare take his hands out of his pockets, and the rest of the members kept a close eye on him. Despite the chaos, they managed to get through the performance without any more magical incidents.

As the concert ended and the cheers of the crowd faded, the members gathered backstage, exhausted but relieved. Kun and Ten, though still a bit shaken, seemed to be calming down.

Yangyang approached them, looking sheepish. "I’m really sorry, guys. I’ll keep searching for a way to reverse the spell. I promise."

Kun sighed, but his expression softened slightly. "Just... be careful, okay?"

Ten nodded, a hint of a smile playing at his lips. "Yeah. No more snaps."

Yangyang gave a small, relieved smile. "No more snaps."

The next day, after arriving in Japan, the members of WayV were ready for another concert, but they had a time to unwind before the performance tomorrow. The airport buzzed with activity as the group made their way out, the fresh air of Japan greeting them as they stepped outside. Kun, Ten, and Yangyang, though still a bit cautious about the aftermath of the previous incident, were all looking forward to a bit of downtime.

Yangyang, eager to make up for his earlier mistakes, nudged Kun and Ten as they walked together through the streets. "Okay, guys," he said with a grin, "today’s on me. Anything you want, it’s yours."

Kun and Ten exchanged a curious glance. Kun raised an eyebrow. "Anything?"

"Anything," Yangyang repeated with a playful wink. "To make up for all those accidental kisses."

Ten couldn't help but laugh, shaking his head. "I’m not sure how buying us stuff is going to fix that, but... I’ll take it."

Yangyang held up his hands defensively. "Hey, I’m trying my best here, okay? No more snaps, I swear. Just tell me what you want, and I’ll make it happen."

Kun and Ten, still a little skeptical but amused, finally agreed. "Alright, let’s see what you’ve got, Yangyang."

They wandered through the streets of Tokyo, enjoying the vibrant city atmosphere. Neon signs lit up the sidewalks, and the smell of delicious food wafted through the air. They passed through bustling shopping districts, crowded with people on their lunch breaks, and there were food stalls offering everything from takoyaki to steaming bowls of ramen.

Kun, who had been eyeing a small store filled with traditional Japanese tea sets, stopped in front of the display. "I’ve always wanted one of these," he murmured, running a finger along the delicate porcelain cups.

Yangyang grinned and immediately walked into the store. "Sold! You want that set? I’ll buy it for you."

Kun blinked in surprise. "Wait, really?"

"Really," Yangyang confirmed, pulling out his wallet with a flourish. "Consider it an apology for... well, everything."

Kun chuckled, shaking his head, but couldn't help feeling a little touched by Yangyang’s gesture. "You don’t have to spoil me, you know."

"I know," Yangyang said, a little more serious now. "But I want to make things right."

Ten, meanwhile, had wandered off to a nearby clothing store. He returned a few minutes later with a shopping bag, holding up a stylish jacket. "I was just looking," he said with a grin, "but now that Yangyang’s offering, I think I’ll take this."

Yangyang’s eyes sparkled. "Done! You look great, by the way."

Ten smiled, clearly enjoying the attention. "Thanks. I guess I’ll let you buy me lunch now."

As they continued to walk around, Yangyang’s enthusiasm was contagious. He bought Kun a few more little trinkets from the street vendors and treated Ten to some of his favorite Japanese snacks. The trio had lunch at a cozy ramen shop, laughing and chatting like everything was back to normal.

"Alright," Kun said, leaning back in his chair and taking a sip of his tea, "I have to admit, this was a nice way to make up for your magical mess-ups."

Yangyang, grinning ear to ear, leaned forward, resting his chin in his hands. "Well, I’m glad you’re enjoying it. And hey, no more kissing mishaps, I promise. This is my way of making it up to you."

Ten raised an eyebrow, munching on his sushi. "Just... make sure you don’t snap your fingers again, okay?"

Yangyang held up his hands in mock surrender. "No more snapping. I swear."

The rest of the day passed in a blur of shopping, sightseeing, and eating delicious food. They visited local shops, bought souvenirs, and explored the city, making memories and enjoying their time together. Despite the earlier chaos, there was a renewed sense of camaraderie among them. Yangyang had made up for his mistake in his own way, and Kun and Ten were starting to appreciate the effort.

By the time they headed back to their hotel to rest, the tension that had lingered from the previous days seemed to melt away. They were ready for the next performance, but for now, they were just happy to be enjoying Japan together.

And for once, Yangyang felt like maybe, just maybe, he was finally making things right.

***

The evening had come, and the hotel room was quiet, save for the soft sounds of music playing in the background. After a long day of shopping, Ten knocked on Kun’s door, holding a bottle of wine in his hand. He was feeling a little lighter, a little more relaxed. It had been a while since they had just hung out without the confusion of magic or spells lingering in the air. Tonight, he hoped, would be different.

Kun opened the door, a slight smile forming on his face as he saw Ten standing there. "Hey, Ten. What’s up?"

"Hey, I was thinking…" Ten started, shifting nervously. "How about we just have a drink together? I got some wine. I thought it might be nice to relax a bit."

Kun raised an eyebrow but smiled. "Wine sounds great. Come on in."

They sat on the couch, the wine glasses in hand, enjoying the quiet of the room. The initial awkwardness between them faded quickly, replaced with lighthearted conversation. They laughed, talked about everything and nothing, letting the evening unfold at its own pace. The wine started to take its effect, relaxing both of them more than they had expected.

As the night wore on and their glasses emptied, Ten felt a shift in the air. Maybe it was the alcohol or just the fact that they had both been spending so much time together lately, but the atmosphere between them felt different—lighter, more comfortable.

Ten looked at Kun, his voice a little quieter now, more playful. "You know, I’ve been thinking... we’ve kissed a couple of times because of Yangyang’s snap, but I’ve never really kissed you just... well, just because I want to. Without the magic or anything weird. You know?"

Kun blinked, surprised by the honesty in Ten's voice, but there was a gentle smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Are you saying you want to kiss me?" he teased, though his eyes were soft, curious.

Ten's cheeks flushed slightly, but he nodded, a little grin playing on his lips. "Yeah. I guess I kind of do."

Kun leaned in slightly, his voice low. "I think I’d like that, too."

With a smile, Ten closed the small gap between them, and their lips met softly, just a gentle press. It was the kind of kiss that lingered lightly, not rushed, not urgent, just a simple touch that sent a shiver down Ten's spine. When they pulled apart, they both chuckled softly, a little awkward but also filled with that undeniable sense of curiosity.

"That was… nice," Ten murmured, his hand resting on Kun’s arm as he gave him a shy smile.

Kun’s gaze was warm, his lips curling into a grin. "Yeah, it was. And... I think I want to try it again. But, maybe, you know… a few more times?"

Ten laughed lightly, nodding. "Yeah, sure."

So, they kissed again—this time, a little longer, a little deeper. Just a soft press of their lips, testing the waters, still unsure, but somehow both of them felt like they were in the same place. They pulled apart again, both grinning like schoolboys who couldn’t quite believe what was happening.

Kun's eyes were sparkling with laughter. "This is nice," he said softly, his fingers brushing against Ten’s cheek. "It feels real."

Ten nodded, his heart racing. "Yeah, it feels… right."

This time, when they kissed again, it wasn’t as light. It wasn’t just a quick peck, but a deeper connection, one that neither of them had expected. Kun’s lips moved against Ten’s with more intent, a soft pressure that made Ten’s breath hitch. The taste of the wine still lingered on their tongues, but it was the warmth of the kiss that made everything else fade into the background.

Kun’s hands moved to Ten’s shoulders, pulling him closer, and Ten responded eagerly, his hands resting at the back of Kun’s neck, drawing him in even more. The kiss deepened naturally, the softness of their lips turning into something more urgent, more passionate. It felt like everything else—everything that had been happening between them, all the confusion and uncertainty—had melted away. It was just the two of them, here in this moment.

When they finally pulled apart, they were both breathless, their foreheads resting against each other as they tried to catch their breath. Neither of them said anything for a moment; there were no words needed. The look in their eyes said it all—a mixture of surprise, satisfaction, and something deeper that neither of them had expected.

"I think I needed that," Ten whispered, a grin still on his lips.

Kun smiled softly, his thumb brushing over Ten’s cheek. "Yeah, me too."

They sat there for a moment, letting the quietness of the room fill the space between them, the gentle buzz of the wine and the lingering feeling of the kiss settling into both of them. It wasn’t just about the kiss—it was about the connection, the understanding that they had finally crossed a line they hadn’t been sure they’d ever cross.

"Do you think that was a mistake?" Kun asked softly, his voice low but filled with curiosity.

Ten shook his head, a smile still tugging at his lips. "No, not at all."

Kun nodded slowly, his hand gently brushing against Ten’s. "Then, maybe we should see where this goes. Without the magic, without any of the chaos. Just us."

Ten’s heart skipped a beat, and he smiled, his hand finding Kun’s. "I’d like that."

And with that, they both leaned in again, this time with a sense of certainty, ready to see where this new connection would take them—no more surprises, no more spells, just two people sharing something real.

The concert was in full swing, the energy in the air electric as WayV performed to an ecstatic crowd. The six members were giving their all on stage, feeding off the roaring support from the fans. The lights were flashing, the music was pulsing, and everything felt just right. Yangyang, ever the energetic performer, was leading the group with his usual charisma, but there was something different in the air tonight.

As they performed a particularly high-energy part of their set, Yangyang, caught up in the moment, snapped his fingers instinctively, like he often did to amp up the vibe. He was used to the chaotic results of his snaps, but tonight… nothing happened.

Kun, who was right beside him on stage, felt a little jolt in the air. Ten, too, glanced at Kun with a look of confusion. The usual rush of magic, the sudden pull towards each other, wasn’t there. The familiar awkwardness between them hadn’t returned. They both kept their composure, continuing the performance, but something in the back of their minds nagged at them.

The crowd was cheering, and Yangyang, still riding the adrenaline of the performance, looked over at the other members, his mind racing. "Did anything happen?" he wondered aloud, his voice barely audible over the music.

The rest of the members, who were off to the side, had noticed the strange absence of the usual "snap effect." Hendery, with a puzzled expression, exchanged glances with Winwin. Xiaojun was the first to speak up.

"Wait, did Yangyang snap?" he asked, frowning.

Hendery nodded. "He did. But... nothing happened. What does that mean?"

Yangyang, feeling a little uncertain, tried again—he snapped his fingers once more, but this time, nothing happened at all. No magical force pulling Kun and Ten together, no sudden awkwardness. It was as if the spell had simply vanished.

Kun and Ten exchanged a glance, their eyes wide with realization. There was no pull between them, no rush of magic, no accidental kiss waiting to happen. It was... normal.

"Did it... finally stop?" Ten asked, his voice a little hushed, though a smile was slowly forming on his lips.

Kun nodded slowly, the realization dawning on him. "I think it’s over."

Yangyang, still a little confused, looked to the other members, seeking confirmation. "You guys don’t feel anything weird, right?"

Everyone shook their heads, and a collective sense of relief washed over the group. It was true. The spell had reversed. They were free from the magic that had been causing so much confusion and awkwardness between Kun and Ten.

With a shared, silent understanding, the members all relaxed. There was no more tension between Kun and Ten. No more unpredictable kisses. No more chaos. The magic was gone. They could enjoy the rest of the performance without worrying about the accidental effects of Yangyang’s snaps.

The group continued their performance with newfound energy, the weight of the strange spell lifted from their shoulders. The music felt freer, the moves felt smoother, and the connection between them was pure. The fans, completely unaware of the internal drama that had been playing out backstage, were still screaming and cheering, but the members of WayV knew the truth: they were back to being just themselves.

As the concert continued, they all gave their best performance yet, their smiles wide and carefree. Yangyang, relieved and happy that the spell had reversed, couldn’t help but laugh at the irony. He had unintentionally been the cause of all the chaos, but now that it was over, he felt lighter, freer.

By the time they finished their encore, they were all in high spirits, joking and laughing as they exited the stage. Yangyang grinned at Kun and Ten, who were now standing side by side without any strange magic pulling them toward each other.

"Well, looks like we’re back to normal," Yangyang said with a mischievous grin. "No more snap-induced kisses."

Kun chuckled, nudging Ten playfully. "I think I’m okay with that. But hey, it was fun while it lasted."

Ten smiled, his eyes twinkling. "Yeah, no complaints here. I’m just glad we can go back to performing without any surprises."

The six of them gathered together backstage, the relief and happiness evident on their faces. The concert was a huge success, and now, they could all relax and enjoy the rest of the night without any more magical mishaps.

As they celebrated together, the bond between them felt even stronger than before. The spell had brought its own challenges, but in the end, it had also made them realize how much they meant to each other—how strong their friendship and teamwork truly were. With the magic gone, they could finally just be themselves again, and that was something worth celebrating.

***

A few days later, they back in the dorm, things seemed to return to normal. The chaos from the concert and the magical mishaps seemed like distant memories. Kun and Ten had fallen back into their usual rhythm—bickering, teasing, and getting along like always. There was an unspoken understanding between them, though, that their bond had deepened, but neither of them had mentioned it again. They both figured that kiss in Kun's hotel room was the "real" kiss that had broken the spell, and everything was as it should be now. They moved forward, pretending like nothing had changed.

This time Kun and Ten were, once again, bickering over something trivial, about the best way to organize the snack cupboard.

"I told you, the chips go on the top shelf!" Kun said, pointing at the shelf with obvious exasperation.

Ten, arms crossed, shot back, "No, the chips are better on the bottom. You put the chocolates on the top!"

Yangyang, lounging on the couch with his phone, watched the usual argument unfold. He’d seen it a million times before, but today, he felt a bit cheekier than usual. A grin tugged at his lips as an idea popped into his head.

"You two should stop fighting," Yangyang said, his tone playful. "If you don't, I’ll snap my fingers and you’ll start kissing each other again."

Kun and Ten stopped mid-argument and exchanged a look. They were so used to Yangyang's antics, but today, Ten had something else in mind.

“Try me,” Ten said with a teasing smirk.

Yangyang, not thinking much of it, snapped his fingers with dramatic flair. “There. Done. Now, quit the bickering!”

To his surprise, instead of a quick kiss being forced by the magic, Kun and Ten just locked eyes, both mischievous smiles creeping up on their faces. They leaned in, sharing a brief but very intentional kiss, nothing to do with the magic at all. It was just a prank, plain and simple.

Yangyang’s eyes went wide as he saw it happen. "Wait—NO!" he yelled, his voice rising in panic. "What’s going on?! Did the spell come back?!”

Kun and Ten pulled apart, trying not to laugh at Yangyang’s distressed expression.

“Relax, Yangyang,” Kun said, smirking. “That wasn’t the magic. We just decided to mess with you.”

Yangyang’s face turned a deep shade of red as he processed what had just happened. “What? You two just kissed... because of my snap?”

Ten shrugged casually, his grin widening. “Yep. Just wanted to prank you.”

Yangyang ran a hand through his hair in frustration. "I can’t believe this. I thought the spell was coming back! And you two are—"

Kun raised an eyebrow, amused. “What? We’re just having fun. You’ve snapped your fingers enough times to make us do things. I thought it was time to return the favor.”

Yangyang crossed his arms, trying to keep his composure, though he couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed. “Fine, fine. Enough with the pranks. No more kissing, okay?”

Ten, who was standing next to Kun with an arm casually slung over his shoulder, grinned mischievously. “No promise, Yangyang. Now Kun is my boyfriend. So I’m going to kiss him whenever I want.”

Yangyang stared at them, his mouth hanging open in surprise. “Wait... what? Kun, you—?”

Kun simply shrugged, trying to look nonchalant, though his cheeks were slightly flushed. “Yeah, guess so. I guess we’re not just messing around anymore.”

Yangyang blinked, completely taken aback. “So, you two are... actually together now?”

Ten nodded, giving Kun a playful squeeze. “Yup. And that means I can kiss him whenever I feel like it.”

Kun, chuckling lightly, added, “Guess you’ll have to get used to it.”

Yangyang looked from one to the other, his eyes wide. "I... can't believe this," he muttered, shaking his head. "You two are crazy."

As he stood there, processing everything that had just happened, Kun and Ten exchanged a look, silently deciding that they were going to continue with their plan. Without another word, Ten turned to Kun and leaned in for another kiss, this time more lingering, more affectionate.

Yangyang’s face was bright red as he stood frozen, staring at them. He could feel his panic returning. “Wait! No! Not again! This isn’t part of the plan!” he protested, but the kiss between Kun and Ten only deepened.

Yangyang, now thoroughly overwhelmed, let out an exasperated sigh. “I can’t deal with this right now,” he muttered to himself. “You two are impossible.”

With that, he turned and stormed out of the room, leaving Kun and Ten alone to continue their playful, yet now serious, connection. He didn’t want to be the one to interrupt anymore—especially not now that their relationship had taken a different turn.

Kun and Ten shared a quiet laugh after Yangyang left, still grinning at the situation they’d found themselves in. The tension from the previous prank had melted into something a little more meaningful now.

“Well,” Kun said with a soft chuckle, his arm still around Ten’s shoulder, “I think that went well.”

Ten kissed Kun's cheek again, his smile wide. "Yeah, I think Yangyang might need some time to catch up, though."

The two of them shared another brief kiss, not out of prank or magic, but because it was just them. And as the door to their room closed behind Yangyang, they could both feel the weight of their new dynamic—no more magic, just real moments.
