“Sorry, you’ve reached [your/name’s] voicemail, please leave a message after the beep”—y/n then lets an exaggerated “BEEP”…the motor beep continues.
Mauga never was one to have a soft spot
Towards anyone. Why? There was no point? Yeah it’s fun to screw around here and there put why take any relationship to another level besides physical.
Y/N was a simple girl, she was simple but not stupid. She knew she was getting into joining talon, she knew they were doing wrong towards the world, but they were skilled and clever. Two things important to survive a world such as theirs. A harsh world that still could tear her apart no matter how hard she could try to put up a front. Especially when the biggest weakness was her fragile heart. Like I said, Y/N wasn’t stupid, she knew that she was soft at heart, but that was reserved. Y/N had grown to learn over the years to build a cold exterior, especially working within talon. Still after years of restrian there had been still a man to win over her heart each time.
While walking back to her dorm, Y/N’s attention is suddenly raised from her phone. “How’s it going my friend?” she looks up and sees Basptise. “Okay play it cool, don’t present to-“ Y/N thought to herself while giving the man in front of her a small smile, but before she could even greet him Y/N was then interrupted by a flash of neon colors pushing her out of the way. “Lo siento, mi amor!!” Y/N then had fallen onto her backside. “Emfph” Y/N lets out a small grunt, she then huffs again in annoyance. Not because of her vibrant friend pushed her out of the way, but more of embarrassing herself in front of a colleague. Mind you, one of many she had slowly try to build a good reputation with.. had seen her fall on her behind and smacked her head against the wall panel. Y/N let out a hushed swear and then immediately looked up in horror to Baptise and apologized as quickly as she could. “I AM SO SORRY PLEASE FORGIVE ME AB—“ “Y/n it is okay” he chuckled to himself, he placed a hand upon her shoulder and offered his hand to her for support. She took his hand, “Thank you—again I’m sorry about that, that was so embarrassing” she took his hand and stood up. “Y/N, how long have we known each other, you are still so worried I’ll think of you a certain way.” Baptise chuckles again. “You are perfectly fine, for the a millionth time..now where were you headed off to before you were—“ he looked to the direction where sombre had rushed to “rudely interupted” Y/N awkwardly chuckles back. “I was simply heading to my dorm, just to warm up for our next mission”. “Total Lie Y/N, you were ‘simply heading’ to go down some leftover takeout..” She thought to herself. “Well if you’re not doing anything after warming up—“ “shit, wrong lie” Y/N thought, filled with sudden regret of making up such a time consuming lie. “Me and Mauga were gonna go hang out with some—erm friends, if your up?” Baptiste smiles and raises his eyebrow, extending his tone with the question. “Actually I could train later, I’ll find some time before it, you know?” Y/N stares back up to him searching for any sense of judgement before he then smiles back at her and says “Meet us out front in 15 then” he winks at her “See you then” he turns around and ends the conversation. “See you” Y/N states back, she then mildly speeds up her walking to her dorm with the thought of not only going out but hanging out with Mauga.
