Bora can't help the anxiousness she feels while entering the hospital. First day jitters seems so uncanny for a nurse like her with a 5-year long career. She recently went back to the city and decided to apply to the hospital minutes away from her childhood home. Luckily, and with the help of recommendations from previous colleagues, she got in.
Everything feels familiar, but somehow new. And it will be a new environment for her, bagong pakikisama, wag naman sana bagong kaiinisan pero sana may bagong crush.
One of her wishes came through in the form of Dr. Jeon Wonwoo. Sanay sya sa mga mapagmataas na doctor sa dati nyang trabaho, kaya naman talagang breath of fresh air ang pediatrician. Approachable, good with kids, close to her age and with a cute nose scrunch, so sue her for having a happy crush.
Ang cute kasi ni Doc makipagusap sa kids, you know he will be a great dad someday. He talks to them in a gentle way that warms her heart. Isang buwan palang sya sa bagong trabaho pero kuhang kuha na agad sya.
"I know that look anak, crush mo si Doc Jeon no?" tukso sa kanya ng head nurse nila.
"Mamang naman! Halata ba?" Bora said as she blushed.
While laughing, the head nursed answered, "Hindi naman ganon kahalata, baka nga si Doc di rin pansin. Pero yung mga panakaw mo kasi ng sulyap, saka yung ngiti mo kasi iba pag bumabati sya satin sa nurse station.", panunukso pa nito. "Pero advice ko lang nak ha, mag-move on ka na agad."
She should've listened to her, she should've clarified why. Because one fateful evening the happy bubble she created herself popped.
Bora just clocked out and she saw Dr. Jeon exiting the hospital premises. She exhaled deeply and collected all the bravery she can muster. Gusto nya lang naman sanang sabihin kay Dr. Jeon na "Ingat sa paguwi Doc, good night." But she was not able to, di na nya nahabol si Dr. Jeon.
She saw him with light and excited footsteps to a white fancy sedan, greeted by a man with a forehead kiss before entering the car door opened for him.
After being stunned for a few seconds she left out a breath she did not know she was holding. And with a bittersweet smile, she realized, minsan talaga ang pogi ay para rin sa pogi.
2.
Init na init si Sunwoo dahil sa pakingshet na init ng Pilipinas. It’s almost late afternoon but his mentor, Arch. Kim Mingyu and him still have a site visit as their last agenda for today.
Site visits are his favorite. It is very nice to see all of the creations from the rendering program to life. Sobrang swerte nya din kasi si Arch. Kim naassign na mentor nya. Based din kasi sa previous classmates nya, their mentors don’t let them leave the office, ipon daw muna ng experience. But how can they that if they don’t do any immersion at all?
The architect was busy meticulously checking the house when his phone rang. Sunwoo was surprised because Arch. Kim’s phone is usually on Do Not Disturb mode whenever he does a site visit.
‘Safety first. A client’s call can be returned but your life won’t.’, yan ang sagot ng superior nya when he asked out of curiosity.
“Hold on Sunwoo, let me just take this call”, paalam ng arkitekto bago nakangiting sinagot ang tawag.
“Hi Bab” he heard as the architect exited the house.
Wait… may partner si Arch? Sa tagal ng apprenticeship nya sa company nila, di nya alam na may partner ito.
Bago lang siguro kaya di pa alam sa opisina. But during the whole period of his mentorship with Arch. Kim, lagi syang nakaiwas sa mga client na halatang nagpapacute sa kanya. Did someone finally manage to catch his eyes and this is a new development?
He was so occupied with his thoughts that he did not notice that Arch. Kim came back… with a man in tow. They seem to be in their own bubble. It really feels like they are so engrossed with their conversation that it feels like they don’t care about the people around them. They also exude this… old-married couple vibe.
“Oh right, Bab, this is Park Sunwoo. Kilala mo na sya based sa stories ko diba?”, pakilala ni Mingyu sa kanya.
The other man extended his hand and introduced himself, “Hi Sunwoo, I’m Jeon Wonwoo.”
“H-Hi Mr. Jeon, n-nice to meet you po.”
“Grabe bab, kinakawawa mo ba tong bata? Bakit sya kinakabahan?”, Wonwoo teased Arch. Kim.
The architect laughed and answered “Hala bab no! Alam mong ayaw ko non.” then he turned to Sunwoo, “Dr. Jeon is the owner of the house.”
“We own the house”, Wonwoo scoffs as he corrected the other man.
We? Oh my God. I… WHAT. And Arch’s partner is a doctor. AGAIN WHAT.
“Hala ka bab nag malfunction ata si Sunwoo!” said the doctor.
Composing himself, he answered “Uhm, sorry po, medyo nagulantang lang po ako sa revelations today”.
OH MY GOD. Shit. I said those things outloud.
Arch. Kim just ruffled his hair and laughed. He guided both of them to the site and said “Come on guys, let’s do this site tour then we will answer your questions later Sunwoo.”
“Lead the way Arch.”, the doctor beamed.
Right after the site visit, he messaged his boyfriend, “OH MY GOD LOVIE YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED TODAY”

Lee Hyunsik entered the events hall of the newly built hotel after greeting a few businessmen. Truly, no celebration will never not be a networking event for the likes of him.
Today marks the ribbon cutting ceremony of a newly built hotel in the metro, owned by his college friend and long term business partner, Jeon Wonpil. So upon seeing his old pal, he did not hesitate to greet him.
"Congrats Wonpil on this new business. I'm sure it will do well pare." Hyunsik greeted while doing a man hug to his friend.
While patting his back, Wonpil answered, "Thank you pare, I'm hoping so too."
When they parted then he noticed the tall dark and handsome younger man beside him.
"Oh, by the way, this is Architect Mingyu Kim. He's the head architect of this project." Wonpil introduced the younger man beside him.
"Nice to meet you Arch. Kim, Lee Hyunsik of Lee Electronics. Nice job on the hotel."
Mingyu shook his hand, "Nice to meet you Mr. Lee, thank you, it was a pleasure working to build this hotel."
Professional, with no air of arrogance, whilst having a face that is pleasant to look at. Hyunsik thinks if this man is single, he should introduce him to his daughter or son, because he is progressive like that.
He noticed that the architect looked around, and he when he found someone he bid his goodbye "Mr. Jeon, Mr. Lee, I have to go and talk to someone lang po. It was nice meeting you again Mr. Lee."
"Oh, go ahead Mingyu. I will get back to you later" Wonpil said, gears seemed to click in his head.
"Nice to meet you too Mingyu, I hope we meet again soon." Hyunsik then answered with a tinge of hope in his voice.
Mingyu then slightly bowed to the both of them before leaving.
Hyunsik then faced his friend with his friend. "Wonpil, I have a huge favor to ask from you."
"I will try pare, ano yon?"
"Can I have Mingyu's number? Ipapakilala ko sa anak ko, gusto ko syang maging manugang."
“I’m afraid I have to pass up on your favor pare, he’s already on a committed relationship with my son.” He smiled then pointed them to a wonderful couple with gentleness in his eyes. "Besides, I already called dibs as his future manugang."
He looked at the direction he was pointed to and saw Mingyu with Wonwoo. Sayang. But now he gets it, they really do make a great couple.

The intercom of her office pinged, signaling her that her client will be entering her office. With that, Hyewon slightly fixed her posture and checked her face one more time, of course she should be presentable.
A tall guy with wide shoulders and cat like face entered her office. She immediately stood up, and meet the man half-way.
"Hi, good afternoon! Park Hyewon", she introduced herself while extending her right hand.
The man shook her hand firmly and offered back a smile, "Jeon Wonwoo".
"Mr. Jeon, please take a seat so we can comfortably talk."
Both of them sat down, Hyewon on her office chair, Wonwoo in front of her, with her office table in between the two of them.
"Oh, please call me Wonwoo na lang, feeling ko kasi ang tanda ko na pag tinatawag akong Mr. Jeon." he told her while chuckling.
Oh my god ang cute parang pusa.
"Sure Wonwoo, please also call me Hyewon. Thank you for taking your time to meet me today."
"A small thing really Hyewon, I like your works. Napakita din kasi sakin ni Mingyu."
"Mingyu? As in Architect Kim?" She asked.
She knows the man since they have handled a handful of projects, with him being the architect, and her the interior designer. Since they have collaborated a few times, they have built a camaraderie. Minsan lang din kasi makahanap sa field nila within the same age group ng hindi mahangin at masungit so its a no brainer that they clicked.
"Yes, the man himself.", Wonwoo answered with a nose scrunch and smile.
"Oh wow, are you friends with him?"
"Well, you could say that." the man answered with a tinge of mischief in his eyes.
"Ohkay? So can we proceed with the discussion? As we have discussed on the email..."
So the both of them the interior of the home for Wonwoo's house in Alabang. Their talk is casual, with Wonwoo sharing his opinion regarding some of the furnitures she recommended. It was a productive meeting that they both did not notice the time, only then to be cut off by a ping of her intercom. With her secretary mentioning that Arch. Kim is outside and with Wonwoo's permission, she let the architect in.
"Hi Arch. Kim! Good afternoon, anong meron at nanggugulo ka samin?" She did not even bother to stand up to greet Mingyu, its fine since they are chill like that.
Mingyu laughed and sat beside Wonwoo. "Grabe, ganyan ka ba bumati sa kliyente mo Hyewon?"
"Excuse me, si Wonwoo client ko, not you."
"Excuse me din, kami client mo." Mingyu raised his brows. He then kissed Wonwoo's temple and said "Hi babe".
Wonwoo then smiled and faced Hyewon while saying, "Yes, kami ng boyfriend ko client mo."
“Holy shit Mingyu why didn’t you tell me you got a hottie of a boyfriend! Ang cute cute nya, parang pusa! So why are you hiding him from me!” she exclaimed.
“This is exactly why Hyewon.”, Mingyu answered while laughing.

flashback. 10 years earlier.
Seungkwan deeply regrets not putting his phone on Do Not Disturb mode because his phone is vibrating like crazy. Nagiingay na naman ata mga kaibigan nya sa GC nila.
He should be enjoying his beauty sleep. Masyadong syang nangarag sa final exams nila kaya gusto nya sana bumawi ng pahinga.
Quite annoyed, he checked his phone, and he’s damn right. Nagiingay na naman mga kaibigan nya. So he opened the GC, and sent a message to the group .“Mga anteh ko please lang patulugin nyo naman ang ngarag na taong ito. Apakaiingay!”
Soonyoung immediately replied, “Bading, backread ka! JUICY CHISMIS TO!”
And with that, nabuhay ang buong pagkatao nya. Sorry na, wala syang lovelife kaya chismis ang bumubuhay sa kanya.

Shocked is an overstatement. Di maisip ni Seungkwan na, si Wonwoo at Mingyu na? What? How? Where? When??? HUH?! Did he sleep so well he missed a whole (or a few) chapter/s?!
As far as he knows, sobrang busy parehas ng dalawa. Wonwoo with his premed, and Mingyu with architecture. So paano?!
Also, how did no-one from their friend group did not notice anything?!

They are already in their 30s, his loud and not so small group of friends are gathered in his boyfriend's unit for their monthly meetup. Yes, monthly. To be fair, ang hirap naman kasi talaga makumpleto silang lahat dahil beh, magmatch palang ng schedule, inaabot na sila ng half day.
So Jeonghan's solution, after many drawings na i-set ang every 2nd Saturday of the month as tropa time. Automatic blocked out na sa calendars ng mga busy (kala mo naman talaga) adults. Ang di pumunta, magbabayad ng 10 thousand freaking pesos, ipon nila for their long-forgotten Boracay trip (which he thinks, drawing na naman).
Kanya kanyang toka ng gawain: Mingyu, Jun and Seokmin as chefs; Wonwoo and Seungkwan on kitchen clean up duty; Jeonghan on the charcuterie board; Joshua and Myungho are busy setting the table; Seungcheol on bartending duties (he makes the best highball to be fair); Vernon curating his playlist thanks to all song requests of Seungkwan and Seokmin ("Nonnie please don't forget Good Graces"); Soonyoung and Jihoon on grocery duty ("Nyong, wala na palang coke, bili tayo sa Landers" "Taray teh bakit Landers pa!" "Teh kapitbahay lang ni Kuya Cheol Landers!"); and Chan, as all of their favorite is just busy chatting with his kuyas.
With all of them working efficiently, dinner is served quickly.
"Nagmessage nga pala sakin si Ms. Dina, attend daw tayo reunion ng batch natin" Mingyu said as he cuts up the well done tomahawk steak into bite sized pieces and puts them on his boyfriend's plate.
"Beh, pwede bang pass na lang? Please lang ayaw kong makita si Danbi." Seungkwan said.
Seokmin laughed and responded, "Di ka pa rin nakakamove on teh?".
"Ah basta, naiirita kasi ako sa tabas ng mukha nya." sagot ni Seungkwan with matching his trademark sideye.
"I'm G if you guys are G.", wika ni Joshua.
"Ilang taon ka na sa Pilipinas, conyo ka pa rin." Soonyoung teased.
"Gaga!"
Jeonghan just laughed in between the commotion. Truly, nothing beats his friend's alaskahan, wala naman kasing napipikon, well... minsan si Seokmin at Seungkwan.
From his peripheral vision, he saw Wonwoo get ice from the bucket, and refilling it with the single malt whisky. Then silently putting it infront of Mingyu.
"Uhm, guys, I have an announcement" Wonwoo uttered then he holds Mingyu's hand while staring at him gently, soft smile clearly visible. Mingyu nods, mirroring Wonwoo's expression. Di rin nakalagpas sa tingin ni Jeonghan ang paghigpit ng kapit ni Mingyu sa kamay ni Wonwoo.
The older then looked at all of his dearest friends with a big smile and said "Mingyu and I, we're getting married."
Cue in chaos, bahala na sa noise complaints ng mga kapitbahay ni Cheol.
And looking at the couple, everything makes sense, Jeonghan realizes. Because their love does not need big gestures and loud proclamations. For the newly engaged couple, love will always be seen in their care, gaze and smile that means I have your heart with me and I will always keep it at peace.
Ika nga ni Taylor Swift, "You can hear it in the silence... you are inlove."
Jeonghan with blurry eyes due to happy tears then looked at Seungcheol. Both of them grinned, fully understanding each other. Sa susunod, tayo naman.
