Yukio and Rin stood a few feet away from the tree- it looked rotted and decomposed.
"Smells gross." Rin mumbled as his tail twitched slightly behind him
"Stop whining Rin." Yukio sighed
Yukio had tried everything he could to get rid of the tree as well as the fog surrounding it- but nothing was working.
"Try and burn it with your flames" Yukio turned to Rin who nodded

"Why isn't it burning?" Rin asked as he stumbled back, letting out a small cough
"Weird..let's just shut down the area for now." Yukio pulled out caution tape from his pouch.
It had been a few days since then- Rin was starting to act weird. He was constantly mumbling about how shadows were trying to touch him- how they were talking to him, screaming at him. He clung onto whoever he could when these...hallucinations started.
One got so bad Yukio found Rin on the floor in the middle of the hallway crying- telling 'them' to get away from him.
Different parts of his body was starting to twitch- his tail, his left eye, the right side of his mouth, his fingers and head.
It was getting concerning
Yukio didn't know what to do.

Rin was on the kitchen floor, sitting in the far corner, mumbling
"Go away.." his nails dug into the skin of his shins.
Yukio rubbed his eyes as he walked into the kitchen "Nii-san?" He looked at Rin who looked at him with dilated eyes
"Yukio.." he said as he stood up "Are you hungry? I'll make you something."
Rin reached for a knife with trembling hands. Yukio turned away for a second to turn on the light
"No, I'm oka- NII-SAN!" Yukio turned back to see Rin had stabbed himself with the knife
Yukio ran over and took the knife away from Rin- the wound wasn't healing..odd. Yukio quickly patched Rin up and went to put the med kit when he saw Rin reaching for the knife again.
Yukio snatched the knife away and put it away
"Nii-san, you need to get some sleep."
A short while later, Rin was in his room, tucked into bed. His eyes were closed, but he didn't seem to be sleeping. Every now and then, he would twitch, and mumble something unintelligible.
Rin finally managed to fall asleep and Yukio called Shura asking her what to do and to came cheek out Rin.
Shura watched Rin twitch as he sat in the corner of the bed, mumbling to himself
"Sure he didn't hit his head or something?" Shura asked-half jokingly
"I don't know," Yukio said, worry evident in his voice. "He's been acting weird ever since we were at that tree. He keeps saying shadows are talking to him, and now he's hurt himself. I don't know what to do, Shura"
"Maybe all he needs is some exposure" she said "Get the rest of the cram students here, maybe he'll start acting normal when he sees his friends." Shura crossed her arms over her chest.
Yukio nodded. "I'll call the others then." He took out his phone and dialed their numbers.
