“Iris, it’s bath time!” Jo called from the bathroom, her voice cheerful and inviting.
Iris, the rainbow floofy llama, peeked around the corner with a wary expression. “But Jo, I don’t wanna! I’ll go all poofy when I dry!” she protested, her big eyes pleading for an escape.
Jo crouched down to her level, smiling gently. “I know you don’t like the poof, Iris, but you’ve been playing in the garden all day, and your fur is a bit messy. Let’s get you clean and soft again. I promise I’ll help with the poof afterward.”
Iris huffed but eventually relented, following Jo into the bathroom with slow, reluctant steps.
“Okay, into the tub you go!” Jo said encouragingly, guiding Iris into the warm water.
Iris sighed dramatically as she stepped in. “Fine, but only because you asked nicely.”
Jo chuckled, reaching for the soap and a soft cloth. She carefully washed Iris’s hooves first, making sure they were sparkling clean. “See? This isn’t so bad,” Jo said, rinsing off the soap.
“Hmm,” Iris mumbled, watching the bubbles swirl around her.
Next, Jo lathered up some shampoo, gently massaging it into Iris’s rainbow fur. “This will make your fur extra soft,” Jo said, working carefully to avoid any tangles. She then added conditioner to ensure Iris’s coat would stay smooth and shiny.
“Don’t forget my ears!” Iris said, wiggling them slightly.
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” Jo replied, laughing as she used a damp cloth to clean Iris’s face and ears with care.
Once Iris was squeaky clean, Jo helped her out of the tub, wrapping her in a fluffy towel. “Let’s get you dry!”
Jo started with Iris’s hooves, patting them dry before moving on to her fur. Drying Iris took a while, and just as Iris predicted, her fur began to puff out dramatically.
“Help!” Iris exclaimed, looking at her reflection in horror as her floof expanded.
Jo couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Don’t worry, Iris. I’ll fix it.” She grabbed a soft brush and patiently worked through the fur, smoothing it down until Iris’s coat was sleek again.
To cheer Iris up, Jo fetched a sparkly rainbow tutu and a matching tiara from the closet. “How about this? You’ll look like a queen!”
Iris’s eyes lit up as Jo dressed her in the glittery outfit. When Jo showed her the mirror, Iris gasped with delight. “I look amazing!” She did a twirl, the tutu flaring out beautifully.
“You sure do,” Jo said warmly.
Iris grinned, her earlier worries forgotten. “Maybe bath time isn’t so bad after all… as long as I get to wear my tiara afterward!”
Jo laughed and hugged her. “Deal.”
