Work Text:

Ambition is not something Franziska von Karma has ever pretended to lack. No, if anything ambition was her driving force; both centripetal and centrifugal in the core of her temporal lobe. Yet, ambition would never get you anywhere. No, not in this foolish world. Ambition is but an ideal for the fools who have foolishly foolish thoughts and dreams for their futures that they will never attempt to bring to fruition.

Oh, Franziska was ambitious all right, but she always finished what she started. She would work her way through all the classics, no matter how much Pride and Prejudice had begun to bore her. She would study piano, though that wasn’t something she could whip into shape. She would study law, become valedictorian, and graduate top of her class years early. Yes, Franziska was ambitious but by no means was she stupid . She knew what she was doing. Every action was well thought out, premeditated, every plan had multiple to back it up and carry her to the finish line, every victory and slice of perfection was nothing short of just that, perfect. Calculated, cruel, childish von Karma.
