Guren and his team were on a mission to wipe out some vampires that were attacking not far from the base, they were told to finish them off by Kureto. On their way to the location Kureto gave them, They were driving a car driven by Guren and as always Shinya beside him while the rest was at the back. While the others were chatting Guren noticed something was quite off, Of course Guren would notice it since it’s Shinya. He was quiet till this time, Which normally isn’t a normal thing that would usually happen. Shinya would always joke around and make fun of Guren the whole ride but this time he was quiet.
Guren’s uneasy feeling had to do something about it, He called out “Hey, Shinya”. Not answered, The second time he tried also didn't work and then he tried the third time. “Shinya? Hey you alright?”, Guren finally got his attention. “Ah- Yea? I’m fine, What's wrong Guren?”, Shinya answered. “You were distracted, Need to tell me something?”, Guren asked kind of worried. Shinya shocked by his attention tries to change the topic, “Awww, Are you worried about me Guren?” caughting the others' attention. “What’s this? Guren? Being worried for Shinya?”, Goshi laughed. “Well that is certainly not common!”, Sayuri added while smiling. Guren groaned, “Shut up all of you, Haah..Shouldn’t have asked..” palms his head with his other arm while still driving. After what Guren said, the others continued to talk while Shinya continued to be silent till they arrived at their location. Guren noticed it once again but decided to shrug it off and talk about it after the mission.
The second they arrived at the location a war was already in a chaotic motion, Immediately Guren and his squad rushed to assist their comrades in battle. The fight continued longer than expected with more enemies than usual but it wasn’t that much of a problem since Guren and his squad was there, till something unexpected happened. Guren, who always had Shinya behind his back, suddenly felt something was off. Guren look back for a split moment and saw Shinya who was a bit unstable on his feet was holding his head and in that moment a vampire who was already on the ground grabbed their weapon and within a flash of time injured Shinya, Guren who saw that scene behold immediately called out Shinyas’ name “SHINYA! BEHIND YOU!”. Shinya still unstable and in pain, noticed and immediately finished off his enemy.
Not a minute later, Guren also hurriedly finished off his enemy and approached Shinya. “Shinya, What was that? You were never this clumsy, especially on this type of mission.” , “You were also off earlier in the car, The hell is up with you today?”, Guren Added. Shinya wanting to shrug it off to not worry Guren just laughed a bit while adding a “I’m fine, I was just distracted that’s all!”, His attempt failed when he suddenly felt a sharp pain from his upper and lower body. In which Guren saw in the littlest reaction Shinya tried to hide, “Haaah….Let me see your leg.”, Guren was already kneeling down but at that moment Shinya immediately stepped back. Guren confused by Shinya’s behaviour, “The hell is up with you?”. “I’m fine so don't wor- ngh-!..”, Shinya tried to reassure Guren but the intense pain hit him. Guren stood up almost immediately and rushed to hold Shinya who was unstable. “You’re nowhere near alright Shinya.”, “S-Shut up..! I’m fine, You don’t need to hold me…Agh-...”.
Shinya’s view started to go black and his body started to shut down, Guren who noticed it immediately caught Shinya, “Shinya..? Oi! Wake up you idiot!...”, Felt his head on him, “Shit. He’s burning up. Goshi! Get the car we’re heading back now!”. Goshi and the others heard Guren’s orders and rushed to get the car, Meanwhile Guren carried Shinya in his arms with a worried expression. “You idiot, This was probably why you were acting weird earlier.”, A second later Goshi and the others came with the car and Guren went in and layed Shinya down on his lap, Rushed their way back to the base. On the road Guren noticed Shinya was uncomfortable and to one point he was wincing in pain, It hit him that Shinya had injuries earlier. When he checked none of them were nearly done healing, “Dammit Shinya…”. “Huh? What’s up Guren? Somethin wrong?”, Goshi asked concerned about the sudden complaint. “No, just focus on driving Goshi”, Goshi just nodded and continued to drive. Guren thought of how to get Shinya to heal faster but he might regret this later especially if one of his squad saw his intentions but how can he possibly care at this point? His Shinya was in immense pain and he most definitely had to do something about it.
Without a second thought Guren holded Shinya a bit higher and lowered his head down to him and locked their lips together, Shocking the two girls from behind, Sayuri and Shigure. “Guren-sama!?”, Shigure says in shock. Guren continued his kiss to give Shinya’s demon more of his greed to make Shinya heal faster. The whole car, shocked by what Guren was doing could only witness the scene behold before them, meanwhile Guren saw that Shinya was healing faster now then before, Guren continued to deepen the kiss, not letting Shinya breathe for even a minute till Shinya was fully healed. Seeing him finally fully healed disappointed Guren a bit, Now he has to end the closeness between them. Finally breaking the kiss Guren wiped Shinya’s mouth with his fingers then wiped his mouth afterwards, Then finally realized that they had stopped and his other teammates were waiting and looking at them. “Can you guys not stare that weirdly? You’re creeping me out”, Guren knowing he has to explain everything to them. “How can we not!? This is our first time seeing this and right in front of our faces!?”, Mito complained about how shocked she was. “Like we knew you had a thing for him but I neither was not expecting that”, Goshi added. Meanwhile Sayuri and Shigure could only nod in agreement and still can’t really process what happened right in front of their eyes.
Guren could only sighed and explain to them, ”I was just transferring some of my greed to him, Shinya was in pain and his injuries weren’t healing almost at all. So don’t need to overthink anything and the hell you meant by i had a thing for him? I’ll kill you after this”. Everyone went silent but Goshi added, “Guren we aren’t blind you literally do everything for Shinya, You risk everything for him. We know you do the same thing for us but if it's Shinya it’s different and we can tell.”. “No time to talk about this now, Shinya is burning up. We need to get him to the doctors”, Guren not knowing how to respond to Goshi words decided to take care of Shinya first. Guren got out of the car with Shinya in his arms once again, rushed his way inside the building heading towards the hospital. As Guren passed by with Shinya in his arms, everyone was looking their way. It was certainly not a surprise that its both of them but what surprises them is that it does not happen often, hell it has never happened at all.
On his way to the hospital area, from afar Yuu and his squad are coming his way from the other side of the hallway. “Hey Guren! How was your-”, Yuu tried to approach him but Guren passed him immediately. “Hey Guren!?”, Yuu looking back. “Yuu shut up, Did you not see how he is in a rush? Lt. Shinya is literally in his arms unconscious”, Kimizuki holding Yuu’s back. “Oh your right”, Yuu being his dumb self and just realized. “I wonder what’s wrong with Lt. Shinya?”, Mitsuba asked concerned. “Shinya fainted after we finished fighting and Guren is worried as hell if you can’t tell”, Goshi appeared from behind along with the others. “I swear that guy turns into the most worried person ever when it comes to Shinya”, Mito added. “Indeed”, Shigure added while Sayori was also agreeing. “And you all won’t even believe me when i say this but Guren even kissed him to help heal his injuries!”, Goshi added, still not believing it happened. The hallway was silent for a few minutes, Then at the same time Yuu and his friends yelled a big “WHAT!?”. Shocking everyone with how loud they are, Guren’s squad could only laugh and sigh in agreement with their reaction.
A few hours later, Shinya started to wake up. “...I’m in the hospital room..? Shit, I fainted…?”, Shinya tries to get up. “Don’t get up from that bed Shinya, you still have your fever”, Guren warned. “...! what the hell Guren you scared shit out of me..”, Shinya calming down. Guren approached Shinya and adjusted his bed for Shinya to sit properly. A few minutes passed and there was only silence between them, Shinya decided to break it, “Hey Guren, I’m alright and I bet you have lots of work you need to do right? So-”, Shinya explained but was cut off by Guren. “Shinya stop being an idiot, especially a stubborn one”, Guren added which made Shinya shocked. “Hey, what do you mean by that? Thanks for offending my heart Guren”, Shinya trying to lift up the tension. “What are you even pissed off about? Don’t tell me your…worried about me..? …..I’m kidding! The Guren I know never worries about me”, Shinya rambling out words that even himself didn’t expect to say. “Shinya!”, Guren said quite loudly, almost as if he was mad, shocking Shinya. Shinya, confused with Guren’s sudden action, decided to just stay quiet.
“You said I never worry about you? …bullshit..”, Guren finally spoke. In disbelief Shinya could only respond, “What..? What do you mean bullshit? When do you ever worry about me. Guren?”. Guren stayed silent, “You only care about saving the world and those other stuff that involves vampires and demons! Most of the time you won’t even tell us ANYTHING! And..and you expect me to think you worry about me..?”. Guren pointed his gaze back at Shinya who was at the verge of crying, Knowing anything he says would make Shinya cry anyways. Shinya wasn’t the type to easily cry but for some reason everytime he does Guren was always there to witness it, He knew that he’ll need to comfort him later anyways. “Sorry Shinya, I went overboard”, As expected Shinya’s tears started to shed. “Shut up, Idiot Guren..”, Trying to wipe his tears. Guren knowing he would probably get teased later could only sigh and just get his ass over it, Guren got close to Shinya and gently held him in his arms. A hug from Guren? Definitely not something Shinya saw coming.
“Stop crying, Crybaby”, Guren teased. Shinya, pissed off, tried to push Guren but realizing he was weaker and sick made him stop after a few attempts. “I’m just gonna say this once and only THIS time only, Sorry for being a i guess..jerk. You are one of the only people who should know that I don't express that much, Which is why I never show you or even any of you when I am worried but you should know that I’m always worried about you, especially YOU Shinya.”, Guren explained. Shinya, quite shocked with Guren’s response, starts to calm down, Guren relieved, knowing Shinya’s cries are slowly stopping. Guren could only sigh with what he was about to say, “Haah….So Shinya if you're ever in trouble or anything, tell me alright?”. Shinya could only nod since it’s Guren. Guren then opened his arms and saw Shinya’s tears that were still on his face and wiped them off, “Now don’t cry anymore, Crybaby”. “I hate you, idiot Guren”, Guren could only laugh at what Shinya said.
Guren laid Shinya back at his bed and lowered his bed back to normal, “Go get some rest, I’ll come back later”, His hands in his pocket. “Nn..Yea yea~ I will, Just go do your work”, Shinya not knowing what else to answer. Guren started to walk towards the door but stopped when Shinya called him again, “Guren…Come back when you're done okay?”. “I will, Now go back to sleep idiot”, Shinya rambling his yea’s to Guren. Guren, closing the door, was greeted by his and Shinoa’s squad beside the door. Not to his surprise, was listening to the conversation. “How long were you all here?”, Sounding pissed off. “Uhm…When you said sorry..?”, Goshi answered knowing anything he says would piss off Guren anyways. “A word from ANY of you about this and i’ll chop off all of your heads, Are we clear? ”, Guren actually sounded serious. “Y-Yes..”, They all said in unison.
