Chapter Text
A soft pounding could be felt in the pink foxes chest, as he nervously held a bouquet of assorted flowers.
Iris, Blazing stars, and a few yellow acacias all wrapped up nicely in soft beige paper that was held together neatly with a white ribbon tied into a beautiful bow.
The fox looked up from his feet to the doorbell once more, anxious to ring it.
His heart beating softly in his ears, he knew he had to ring so he could pick up his date but he couldn’t stop the blush from rising to his checks.
They had never been on a real date for a while now, and Raymon wanted to surprise his lover with a nice day, but his sweaty hand just couldn’t seem to hit the doorbell.
Clutching the flowers to his chest, he takes a deep inhale before reaching out to tap the small button next to the door.
A muffled ring could be heard from the other side of the door, as Ray fixed his posture. A few seconds flew by then some more, but they felt like hours to the anxious fox. A minute, now almost two- was she even home? Was she asleep? Did she get called in to help with the freedom fighters? The fox grew more and more anxious standing in front of the door as it towered over him. Sweat began to form on his forehead as he fidgets with his dress shirt’s collar, his hand soon making its way to his little bow tie.
A few moments later, a beautiful purple cat with long fluffy hair appears in the door frame. Her ear flicks as her gaze shifts over the outside, wondering who rang her doorbell. A small smile appears on her face as her eyes land on the lush bouquet of flowers, the purple and yellow complementing each other quite nicely.
She glances up to see her front stairs empty, not a person in sight yet she knew who they were from.
“Thank you sweetums, the flowers are lovely.” She spoke softly out loud, hoping her lover would hear. That he did, from just past the shrubbery.
