"Don't look back"
The young girl walked through the meadows to meet her parents. Those words spoken by Haku remain latent in Chihiro's mind as she continued walking.
"Don't look back"
She didn't stop her steps, while ignoring the incessant pounding of her heart, her anxieties, her sense of emptiness and curiosity to look back. To look at him. "I shouldn't" she told herself in her mind at the repetitive echo that her head made with those words.
"Don't look back"
But she wanted to. She wanted to see him one more time, even if he promised her they would meet again in the future, she wanted to see him. However, she had to move forward, leave there with her parents and obey Haku's words, but... What if she looked?

After a while, she was about to exit the tunnel. Being her last chance... if she wanted to look back. She had to do it now!

The doubts caused that in the last second, she ignored Haku's words, disobeyed them, while turning around, her brown hair waving in the wind. She looked and saw him. She watched him watching her.

Just by seeing him, seeing those green eyes with a hint of surprise that she didn't want to stop observing, her chest stopped beating wildly, she lost that sense of emptiness.

And without wanting to break eye contact. This time, she didn't want to look back. She wasn't going to look back.
