As Caitlyn stood still in front of her vanity mirror, tall and steady, she couldn't help but glance through the glass at the sleeping figure behind her. She smiled to herself as she watched Vi's upper body slowly move up and down with each breath as she was sleeping on her stomach, arm hovering off the bed. It was still very early in the morning, the sun hasn't risen yet, but when duty calls, Caitlyn has to leave the comfort of her lovers warm body. Thankfully said lover didn't notice the missing person next to her and was still blissfully resting after the long day they had yesterday.
Thankfully, Caitlyn wasn't called for something very important, so she had some time to spare. Specifically to spend on watching her lover.
As she finished applying her make up, she turned around and walked towards the window, opening the curtains and letting the moonlight inside. She stared at the way it shined on Vi's naked back, highlighting her tattoos. Caitlyn couldn't help but walk closer to Vi, not only to appreciate the sight, but to leave a little something for her to see later. After all, her butch was always fond of the small marks she left on her.
So Caitlyn brushed the hair that fell on Vi's face away, and kissed her tenderly on the forehead. Vi slightly scrunched her eyebrows but then quickly relaxed her face as Caitlyn carefully stroke her cheek. Mission accomplished.
She leaned back to observe her work and smiled. This is why she never bought stainless lipstick. Caitlyn reapplied her lipstick, grabbed her bag and phone and was now ready to go to work.
Awaken by the sunlight glaring at her through the window, Vi arose and stretched her muscles, groaning as she did do. She slept with her arm off the bed this night, it's a bad habit she picked up in her childhood that resulted in terrible mornings that could only be salvaged by her beautiful femme. Speaking of, said femme was nowhere to be seen and the empty space where she was supposed to be at was already cold. Vi figured she had gone to work and was proved right by the sweet text Caitlyn had left her a few hours ago. She must have left early in the morning, which meant Vi had some time to cook a meal for them to share when Caitlyn is back.
As Vi stood up and walked towards the bathroom to wash herself and get ready for the day, she quickly noticed the dark red stain above her eyebrow. Already guessing what it is, she leaned forward to take a closer look at it and smiled. Caitlyn always does this when she has to leave for work before she even gets to be with Vi in the morning. It's a reminder that she'll always be back home for her, and so that Vi doesn't worry much.
Not even bothering to wipe it off, Vi got ready for the morning with a content smile on her face and a mental list of what to do with Caitlyn today.
