Work Text:
Ally didn’t want to go to school today. She wanted to stay home and play video games. Like every day. But she was walking around, trying not to fall from the weight of her binder and laptop at school. She was about to go up the stairs when a girl took her things. The girl looked about three years older, and she had dark hair, which was a stark contrast to her really pale skin and under eye bags.
“Hey! Give me back my things!” Ally yelled, but she didn’t see anyone.
She began to grumble under her breath and she climbed the stairs. Once she made it to her class, she saw next to the door where there was a desk. On that desk, were her binder and laptop, but there was no one around. Ally picked up her things and got into her classroom, hoping she wasn’t late.
~~
At lunch, Ally saw a girl she had never seen before. She looked like the girl who took her things. Ally decided to introduce herself to the girl.
“Hey, I’m Ally, I think you’re new here, right?” Ally asked, her heart beating faster all of a sudden.
“Yes, I am,” she said coldly and distantly.
“Oh, then welcome!” Ally found herself staring at the girl, observing her facial features and the apathetic expression on her face. She didn’t notice the smirk that curled on the mysterious girl’s lips as she stared.
~~
The next thing Ally knew, she was in bed. Her arms and legs refused to move at all, and her neck hurt. She didn’t remember anything at all from the night before, but she knew she had to get to school. Ally looked at her clock and saw that it was… 8:29 AM!? She was NOT going to make it to school on time!
Ally jumped out of bed, feeling tired but forcing herself to move as she dressed up and took her things. She knew she was a mess, but she couldn’t be late to school. She jumped into her car and drove towards school. By the time she parked in the lot, it was 8:43 AM.
“Oh god, I’m late by eight minutes,” she muttered as she went towards the entrance.
But she stopped in her tracks as she looked around. There was no other cars or busses, and not even the late kids were outside.
Ally checked her phone and saw it was Saturday. Last time she knew, it was Thursday…
She was about to turn around and return to her car, but she felt something wet come in contact her neck.
But this time, she turned around successfully, and yet again, she saw nobody…

At home, Ally got onto her laptop and began to research.
Website after website after website, she would hit dead ends. She would be so close to coming to a conclusion, but then the results wouldn’t line up. Until she received an email from her English teacher.
The email read, “I think you’ll like this article, Mrs. Amber,” followed by a link. Ally, curious and needing a break from hours of research, opens the link. It takes her to an article about vampires, and she reads the whole thing…
She got to thinking, and her mind was dragged to that new girl…
Could she be a vampire? It could only make sense to the description that the article stated.
Ally decided to return to school the next day. Yes, it would be Sunday, but if the vampire was there, it would help to confirm her theories. Besides, it’s been cloudy for the past few days, what says it won’t be by then?

Ally walks with caution, checking her surroundings to see if she spots the familiar and at the same time unfamiliar face. She feels as if her limbs were walking on their own.
She gets pinned to a wall, the side of her head against it, so she can’t see who pinned her.
“What the-” Ally is about to say something, but she gets interrupted.
“Shh, it’s me,” the all too familiar voice says.
Ally knew who this “me” was, but still couldn’t help but panic.
She felt a cold hand grab her chin and direct it to face forwards.
“Don’t,” she said coldly.
Ally got quiet, instead staring at the girl again.
“I’m going to drink again,” she said.
“Why?” Ally asked.
“Oh Ally, you have such a rare blood type… the sweet taste of AB-…” she whispered.
Ally began to panic, barely registering the next few moments.
The teeth that sunk into her neck… the sudden feeling of fatigue, fear, and pain… Ally leaned against the wall, sitting.
“Wh-who even are you..?” She managed to ask.
“Oh… you won’t know me, but my name is Tess.” The girl said, before Ally’s vision faded black.
