It’s a lovely day, the sun is bright & warm, clear blue skies with a gentle breeze, birds are chirping, blooming flowers surrounding them which is a stunning view but Tommy can’t help but be mesmerized by his favorite view, Evan.
They’re in their favorite spot they stumbled upon one day on their park visits.
Evan can just be there, doing absolutely nothing, Tommy would still see him the same way, it’s always like the first time, the butterflies, feeling like his life will never be the same after meeting this sunshine of a man.
He’s just gathering all their leftovers, when he hears, “Evan.” Tommy has this soft look in his eyes, he can’t believe Tommy looks at him the way he does, like he’s the most precious sight he’s ever seen.
“Come here” he says while extending his hand to him, Tommy just pulls him close, takes all of him in, sighing, he can see Evans nervous, but he’s even more nervous.
How can a man like him love someone like him, he’s come a long way but he knows he’s worthy of Evan’s love.
“Lay with me love.”
They’re both facing each other, Tommy’s eyes seem to be misty, bringing his hand to Bucks face, just slowly running his fingers over his birthmark, eyebrows, nose, eyes, & lips. It’s like Tommy just wants to memorize him.
Buck is nervous, after all this time, he still gets nervous around him, he doesn’t think there will ever be a day where Tommy doesn’t make him flustered, the good kind.
Tommy stops, brings their foreheads together, rubs his nose to his, gives him a soft, tender kiss.
“I love you Evan, I don’t know what I ever did for the the universe to give me you, I never thought I would ever be so in love, I had accepted I would be alone, I was ok with it but then you came in crashing into my life, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I found my home, loving you has been the greatest part of my life, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.”
He feels Tommy move a little, reaches for something, he’s having a hard time but eventually gets it, he sits up a little, grabs his hand again, “Evan, you have owned my heart from the moment our hands touched, it will always be yours, marry me Evan?”
Buck is stunned, tears forming in his eyes, he’s at a loss of words, is this really happening right now?
“Evan?” Tommy’s nerves are all over the place.
“So this was not how I envisioned myself doing this but you were just there, looking as beautiful as ever, sun hitting your face, glowing.”
Tommy knows he’s rambling when Evan looks at him, tears in his eyes, he’s about to ramble again when Evan lunges at him, just like that day at the hospital lobby. Words stuck in his mouth turning into a moan.
Buck devours his man, how can he not, his man wants to be his husband.
Husband!! Omg he has a fiancé! A FIANCÉ!! He needs a clipboard! Wait, he hasn't said yes!
He was a bit distracted, ok!
“Yes! *kiss* Yes! Yes! *kiss* Yes! A million times Yes!!”
Proceeds to smother his face with kisses, tasting Tommy’s tears.
They both have tears on their faces but it’s a joyful moment.
“Can I put the ring on your finger?”
He just nods, he knows if he tries to talk, he won’t be able to.
He can’t stop more tears falling feeling the sliding sensation on his finger, the trembling of Tommy’s hand, Tommy brings his hand to his lips and kisses his ring.
“I love you Evan”
“I love you so much Tommy, I can’t wait to be your husband, I was always searching for something, that something was you my love.”
They spend the rest of their day in this happy glow, Buck always admiring his ring, taking unlimited pictures, doodling Evan Kinard, skipping around.
Everyone gets a message with a picture of them both with the biggest smiles they have ever seen, dried tears, with new ones forming, happiness written all over their faces, Buck holding his hand up showing that beauty of a ring.
The message says, so this just happened!!!!!
They all have a few tears looking at them, they have been through so much, they deserve this.
