Lee Sanghyeok just realize… that he might be in love with the young café part timer.
Sudden realization hit him hard when he try to focus to read the word that present in front of him but he unable to keep his focus. His eyes keep wandering to see the young boy running back and forth try to keep up with surge of costumer during busy lunch hour. Every time he glance at him, even tough he looks tired, he always keep a warm smile and try to serve everyone as best as he can.
The first time he noticed the young part timer is when he greet him warmly when he opened the café door. He has a deep yet gentle voice that made him quite surprised because he don’t expect his voice to be so warm and sound nice to his ear. How he treat costumer is no different from how his voice sound. He remember every regular costumer preferences and always eager to talk with them. If Sanghyeok has to describe him, it would be “Little sun” because he always try to brighten anyone days.
That “Little sun” name is Lee Minhyeong. He learned his name when he introduced himself after making his milkshake order, saying that in order to improve himself he need to know how the costumer think about the drink he made. After that small talk was exchanged between them. As expected because of how chatterbox Lee Minhyeong he ended up learning so many new info about him that makes him worried if that okay to share because he is stranger to him, to which he respond with a big laugh and hand wave saying that it’s okay. After that exchange they grew closer, with Lee Minhyeong always try to have a longer conversation with him after his shift hour end, just like this day...
“So I’ve seen you looking around, did you miss me?" said Minhyeong as him plopped himself in empty chair in front of him.
“As if” Sanghyeok answer back with pulled up book to hide his heated cheek.
Minhyeong just laugh watching his action as he put one hand on his cheek. “ Yeah…of course you don’t” he said that with small and quiet tone that make Sanghyeok lift his thick eyebrow and put down his book.
Noticing his concerned gaze Lee Minhyeong suddenly lowered his head and began to fiddle his finger. “ You know...I’ve noticed that you now came to visit more often.. it’s good for our business but…do you came to meet someone?” he timidly raise his head to match his gaze.
“What do you mean by someone?” Sanghyeok respond with calm voice and answer slash question back to him made Lee Minhyeong taken aback a little bit.
“ Uh..uhm…maybe your close friends or perhaps someone that hyung…like?” said Minhyeong while maintaining his gaze and try to hide his nervousness.
Seeing Lee Minhyeong being stammering mess for the first time in front of him making Sanghyeok feels odd because he thought it doesn’t suit him at all. Confident with beautiful smile is what Lee Minhyeong made for that sometimes he want to rip his smile off his face because it made his heart beating irregularly. It doesn’t help that his gaze is so deep that when he stare at somebody it could be mistaken as romantic gaze because he paid so much attention when speaking to other people. Sanghyeok maybe not someone that have many experiences about love, but he’s not that dumb to not notice that there are mutual feeling between them after Lee Minhyeong today unexpected confrontation. So to not make the atmosphere getting more heavy he decided to take the matter with his own hands....
“ Someone that I like… it maybe true” said Sanghyeok with curled up smile that make Lee Minhyeong widened his eyes and began to avoid his gaze. Watching his reaction making Lee Sanghyeok couldn’t help to tease him.
“ So…you don’t want to know who is it?”. He try to not let out giggle as he watch Lee Minhyeong struggling in front of him. And after many seconds has passed he heard Lee Minhyeong ask “Who ?” with small voice and stare at him that look like dejected puppy. Soft smile appear on Sanghyeok's face as he finally responded with “ It’s someone in front of me”
And oh boy…There’s will never be a brighter and more beautiful smile that Lee Sanghyeok ever seen from someone like his little sun.
