Music blared through the house, you silently waved to your friends who were busy getting drunk.
The crowd pushed and grinded against each other, men, women, and everyone in between were enjoying themselves while getting off the high from the blasting lights and spiked drinks.
Eventually you were shoved to a corner, the windowsill being taken over by a woman who seemed your age.
Her short haircut sharpened her facial features, eyes shut as she slowly breathed in smoke from a cigarette.
She adorned a loose tie, her shirt slightly unbuttoned; but what really stood out to you was the butterfly hairclip she wore.
The accessory hung perfectly on the side of her head, as if she had been wearing it her entire life.
"Are you done staring?" she asked, probably intrigued by your presence.
You muttered an apology as she patted the spot next to her. You sat down next to the stranger, her hand reaching out to lend you the cigarette.
But before you could accept or deny, a fight broke out. Two men rolled onto the floor, punching and kicking each other.
She chuckled at the fight, but you could spot her lips twitch into a small frown as she watched the bruises form.
"Akiko! Would you please stop smoking and help me out?!" yelled the one of the guys in the fight.
The woman, who you now knew as Akiko, grumbled and got up from her spot. She dragged the brunette boy out of the ruckus.
"This is the last time I'm helping you with your wounds," she continued to lecture him as he followed her to another room.
You watched her skirt flow from her movement, confused yet in awe
