Gabby sat down next to Grett, who was crying, on the fallen trunk in the forest. Grett talked to Gabby and told her about how her mother always cared more about her brother, how her acknowledgments always went unnoticed. Gabby tells Grett that her mother might be neglecting her. Grett asks Gabby what “neglect” is. When Gabby tells her, Grett realizes that her mother neglects her, and she’s thankful Gabby chose to listen despite her actions in season 1.
