Chapter Text
V was having a nightmare, and she awoke to her usual dark room setup. However, she felt... Different. Damnit, not now, she couldn't regress in the middle of the night without a caretaker... V grabbed a blanket, and her teddy bear plushie, and carefully tiptoed to N's room.
N had also awoken from a nightmare, but he didn't regress as easily as V did. His sensors detected noise coming from the hallway, and he opened his bedroom door. It was V, quite clearly vulnerable and upset. N let her into his bedroom, V sitting on N's bed. N wiped a tear that had just begun to fall from V's visor, and hugged her.
In a somewhat babyish voice, V explained her nightmare. She'd watched N die horrifically due to the Absolute Solver, and it had pushed her to regress. N petted V's head, reassuring her that everything would be alright. N got out a pacifier from a small box in his dresser, and gave it to V. She quickly took it, and she relaxed quite well. N and V were eventually cuddling in bed together, as V dozed off. Everything was going to be okay, as long as she was with N.
