Lee Minhyeong thought even in this cold weather it couldn’t calm his agitated mind. Today was supposed to be the day that he could enjoy talking about life update with his friend yet it turn into disaster once the topic of his boyfriend came out. At first it was okay since everyone know who his boyfriend is but his mood turned sour when he heard gossip related about his boyfriend amidst the chatter that makes him drink a little bit too much from what he can handle.
The infamous boyfriend of him is none other than Lee Sanghyeok, famous senior from S university because of his achievement on his research. He always have a calm, uptight demeanor that makes him unapproachable from the eye of other people but Lee Minhyeong knows that he actually likes to tease and making dad jokes towards people that close him, and he unexpectedly discover that facts when they get paired up for club project. The story about how they become couple…well it started from last club gathering to celebrate senior graduation into society. Lee Minhyeong who became so drunk just like this night have a sudden surge of braveness blurted out that he actually like his senior. On the receiving end, the not so drunk Lee Sanghyeok just curled up his cat-like lips and give him a nod that marks the start of their relationship.
On the road back to his apartment Lee Minhyeong hazy mind suddenly recalling how his relationship with Lee Sanghyeok. Even though they are a couple because Lee Sanghyeok nature that like to hide his thought and feelings, he rarely says anything that confirm his true feeling towards him. Usually it’s him who says things like “ I love you” to show his affection and Lee Sanghyeok just give him a smile that always beautiful in his eyes. Yet deep in his heart he still has a desire of validation that comes from his partner sweet lips. Remembering gossip that brought by his friend makes his jealously suddenly arises when they talking about his boyfriend supposedly “close friend” that just came back from other town to work in Seoul. He knows that Lee Sanghyeok and him are together now but he can’t help to be worried because what if he leaves him for that guy? Is he gonna be okay without him in his life? and before his wild imagination goes further his foot already in front of his apartment door.
After a bit of struggling to input the right password he finally open the apartment door and saw his beautiful boyfriend like an elegant cat sitting in a couch reading some book that he doesn’t understand the content. Noticing his presence Lee Sanghyeok suddenly getting up and approaching him with crossed hand and tight lips, a sign that he’s unhappy that he came back late. Before Lee Minhyeong could mutter some excuse his soft and cold hand reach out to touch his face “ Your face is so red…Do you know how late this is…how many bottle did you drink today? Don’t you know that excessive drinking it’s bad for your health ?”
Getting scolded in his drunken state makes Lee Minhyeong become more honest and brave to confront his lover “ So what?...why do you care about my health when you never care about my feelings… tell me Sanghyeok hyung…do you really love me? I heard about your close friend that come back to this town…will you leave me now? “ Said Lee Minhyeong with tears rolling down on his face and his hand tightly holding his lover cold hands that seems about to disappear if he let it go.
Facing Lee Minhyeong sudden burst of emotion towards him making Lee Sanghyeok get stunned. He never imagine that Lee Minhyeong will have that kind of thought since he always seems to accept and understand him that makes him feel like there’s no problem in their relationship. He wants to scold himself now that he don’t notice Lee Minhyeong insecurities that hidden by his confident personality and understanding demeanor. As a response Lee Sanghyeok just wipe Lee Minhyeong tears and bring his face closer to his handsome lover, softly kissing him with additional statement that make Lee Minhyeong mind goes blank...
“You are mine Lee Minhyeong, don’t ever forget that”
