Chapter Text
The museum was vast and beautiful, with much to learn and more to display. Brightney was the museum director and easily the most popular due to her high rank and elegant charm.
The most popular exhibit, as well as the largest exhibit was the fossil display, run by our extroverted paleontologist and museum curator Shelly.
Astro was known to work a high-ranking job here, though nobody knew what it was. Infact, even Brightney hardly knew the details, and once he'd been so blinded by his own work to realize the true importance of it.
No matter the amount of questions or interviews, Astro would never budge; It seemed that nothing could ever convince him to talk about his work. The most you'd get out of him was along the premises of, '.. It's a topic best left alone.'
All of the toons worked for the museum, whether they liked working or not, under Brightney's strict leadership, each and every toon had a role to play in the museum's success. She made it clear how significant the museum truly was, and why they must maintain it.
However, the museum had abruptly shut down after forty long years. The museumgoers and toons were much confused at the suddenness and randomness of the closure. After all, the museum was quite prosperous and no warning had been given. Even Brightney was kept in the dark, despite being the director.
The toons struggled getting used to their newfound freedom, especially now that all their stress was being lifted off of them. Lounging around? A myth that had become reality for the toons. Their habits developed from all of hard labor and tedious work remained, they couldn't discard all those forty years of life! Even Gigi, one of the laziest, had struggled getting accustomed to the change.
Only three toons had kept working, but two took long breaks, and one never truly stopped working. Infact, he'd only gotten more anxious that the others would discover what he had, his job was far too important to abandon; Astro couldn't take as many risks now, actually no risks at all! It was for the best they were kept in the dark, wasn't it?
