Early morning light hit Kou's face, warm and soft. Yawning, he checked his phone, he should probably get up to make breakfast and pack his siblings' lunches. He stretched his arms a bit before slowly creeping out from under the sheets, in hopes not to disturb his boyfriend.
"....mmm...the hell are you doing...?"
Eyes groggy and mouth pouting, Mitsuba grumbled, obviously pissed. Grabbing hold of Kou's waist, he attempted to pull him back into the bed. "...s'too early..."
Grinning a bit, the blonde ruffled his boyfriend's messy pink hair. "I'll be back in a bit." Content, the supernatural curled back into the bedsheets, a shapeless mound once again.
He discreetly dressed in his uniform, hoping Mitsuba was asleep, and combed his hands through his hair. Clipping on his earring, he headed to the bathroom. He did his business, washed his face and brushed his teeth thoroughly. Spitting into the sink, Kou could taste the lingering of mint in his mouth.
The hallway creaked as he hurried to the kitchen, it was a miracle that he didn't wake his siblings. Throwing an apron over his head, Kou pumped his fists.
For today's recipe, you'll need:
•Bread slices
•An egg or two
•A generous spoonful of yogurt
•Milk
•Honey
•Butter
•A bit of shaved lemon rind
•A little cinnamon
•Blueberries
Crack an egg into a medium sized bowl and whisk! After it's mixed enough, add the yogurt and milk and stir until everything is combined. Heat a the honey until melted, adding the shaved lemon rind and cinnamon. Carefully pour into the egg mixture, making sure not to spill anything, and mix well.
Once combined, it's ready to be used! Grease a skillet with a bit of melted butter. Here comes the messy part: Dip the slices of bread into the batter, it helps if the bread is a bit stale. Fry the pieces until golden brown on each side, make sure not to burn them like Teru nii!
When they are finally cooked, transfer to plates and top with blueberries and honey. And ta-daa! Fresh French toast! You can even switch things up if you'd like, Tiara loves strawberries on hers! Mitsuba prefers cherries, although I think any fruit tastes good-
"The fuck are you doing?"
Swiveling around with a plate in hand, Kou smiled awkwardly. Mitsuba stood in the kitchen doorway wearing one of Kou's oversized sweatshirts and soft pink shorts. "Making breakfast!~" Kou cheerfully replied.
"You were spacing out."
"Was I?"
"You were probably having some lame monologue, like you were in a cooking show or something."
Mitsuba smirked, a hand to his mouth as Kou blushed bright red. "N-no one asked for your opinion." Snatching the warm plate from Kou's grasp, Mitsuba grinned wide. "The world needs to know what I'm thinking, unlike you. All your thoughts are filthy."
Humming as he sat his plate at the counter top, Mitsuba watched Kou grumble. "I never said that was yours-" The supernatural giggled annoyingly, stuffing a bite into his mouth. "I know it's mine, you didn't need to tell me.~"
"Asshole."
"Right back atcha.~"
As Mitsuba chomped on his breakfast, Kou prepared his siblings lunches: egg sando, karaage, and sauteed vegetables. Carefully placing each item into the bentos, he beamed at his work. The supernatural glanced at him.
"C'mere for a sec, dork."
Blinking in confusion, Kou walked over next to his boyfriend, noticing his half eaten plate of breakfast. "What's up?" He said cheerfully. Smirking, Mitsuba quickly pecked his lips before ruffling Kou's golden hair. "Nothing, just wanted to do that."
Face a bit flushed, Kou murmured something quietly. "...you should get dressed before Teru nii and Tiara wake up..." Stuffing another bite of food into his mouth, Mitsuba laughed cutely. "Kay grandpa." Scoffing, the blonde crossed his arms. "You should really stop stealing my sweatshirts, y'know." He said giving a tug on 'Mitsuba's' shirt.
"Whaat? But they're so warm! I'll get cold..."
"You have plenty of warm sweaters."
"They don't smell like you though."
"Wait what-"
"Nothing!!"
Kou stared at him for a bit, analyzing Mitsuba's 'innocent' expression. "And you call me the pervert..." Giggling, the supernatural chomped on his last bits of breakfast. Lifting his plate, he messily licked at the honey left over, Kou staring in horror. "W-what the hell are you doing?" He nearly shrieked.
"It's tasty."
"Have some manners at least!"
"Oh come on, you've seen me rip supernaturals apart and this bothers you?"
"Yes!!"
Smirking, Mitsuba set the plate down, poking Kou's cheek with a sticky finger. "Your siblings' breakfast is getting cold, you should wake them up." He said softly, the two extra plates of French toast looking quite lonely all of the sudden. Kou smiled, ruffling Mitsuba's hair.
"You should get dressed."
"M'kay."
Planting a quick kiss on Kou's lips, the supernatural headed off towards his boyfriend's room. Sighing wistfully (not unlike a middle school girl thinking about her crush), Kou hastily set the table. The floor creaked as the blonde sprinted to his brother's bedroom, sliding Teru's door open.
"Teru nii! Breakfast's ready!!"
