   Summary

   One time, she saw a picture of a sign warning divers to swim no farther, lest they meet their death in an underwater cave. The sign shone bright white in the middle of an abyss. She couldn’t sleep the night she saw it. The stories she read about perished cave divers, paying the steepest price for knowledge about indifferent depths. How stupid could they be? But part of her knew that she was this stupid, too.

   Fifteen years after the successful rescue of the Tulpar’s crew, Anya’s daughter tries to piece together the puzzle of her existence. It ends poorly.
