He traveled to Kyoto.

Notes:

Dear reader, I hope Megami forgets that she is rich because, while I was halfway through the story, I suddenly remembered that she is wealthy.

Work Text:

‏Beginning of the Journey

‏In the school yard, the students stand excitedly, ready for their trip to Kyoto.

‏Megami: (firmly) “Listen carefully! This is an educational and cultural trip, not an opportunity for random behavior. I expect everyone to follow the rules.”
‏Akani: (smiling lightly) “Does this mean we can’t have a little fun, Megami?”
‏Megami: (seriously) “Within limits. I will not tolerate chaos!”
‏Koriko: (holding her notebook) “I’ve organized the activity schedule, and making sure every detail is covered is now my responsibility.”
‏Aoi: (placing a hand on her forehead) “I just need a cup of coffee, then we can discuss seriousness later.”
‏Shiromi: (smiling calmly) “I’m here for any disputes that may arise. I just hope the day goes smoothly.”

‏Megami: “Let’s go. Everyone to the buses!”

‏The buses stop in front of a traditional inn in Kyoto. The students disembark, amazed by the beauty of the scene.

‏Akani: “Wow! Look at this inn! It’s like it’s straight out of a history book.”
‏Koriko: (looking at the list of names) “Each room is assigned to four people. Make sure you don’t switch rooms, please.”
‏Aoi: (half-closing her eyes) “I need a room near the gate, just to avoid any problems at night.”
‏Shiromi: (placing a hand on Aoi’s shoulder) “You look tired. Do you want help with distributing the keys?”
‏Aoi: (sighing) “I’ll manage. The important thing is that everyone stays okay.”

‏On the second day, Akani meets a British family while resting in the hotel lobby.

‏Father: (smiling) “Good morning! Are you from Japan?”
‏Akani: “Yes, we are students from Saiko Academy. Are you on vacation here?”
‏Father: “Yes, I’m here with my children. This place is amazing!”
‏The young girl waves her hand enthusiastically.
‏Young Girl: “Are you a teacher?”
‏Akani: (laughing) “No, I’m just a student in the student council.”
‏Father: “By the way, do you know Mr. Ryogoku? My father was friends with him for many years.”
‏Aoi: (looking surprised) “My father? I didn’t know he had foreign friends.”
‏Father: “He sang at one of our charity events when I was little. He’s a great man.”

‏One night, one of the students finds herself surrounded by a group of local boys. The student council intervenes quickly.

‏Student: (fearfully) “Please, leave me alone!”
‏Boys: (mocking) “We just want to talk!”
‏Aoi and Akani arrive quickly.
‏Aoi: (angrily) “Stop it right now! Or I’ll call the police.”
‏Boys: (sarcastically) “What are you going to do, little girl?”
‏Aoi steps forward confidently and pulls out her phone.
‏Aoi: “One call, and you’ll find yourselves at the police station.”
‏Akani: (placing a hand on the student) “Are you okay? Come with us.”

‏The boys leave grumbling, while Aoi calms the student.
‏Shiromi: (arriving late) “I see things have been handled already.”
‏Aoi: “No time to wait in situations like this.”

‏Truth or Dare - More Than a Dare

‏The room remained filled with quiet, except for the whispers of laughter from the student council members who were gathered around, exchanging questions in a game of “Truth or Dare.” Aoi was still deeply asleep on the futon by the wall. Megami sat beside her, nervously playing with her hair, trying to ignore the chaos happening around her.

‏Suddenly, Aoi moved slightly and placed her head on Megami’s knee in a spontaneous action, as if searching for comfort. Everyone froze in place, staring at Aoi, who seemed to be in another world.

‏Aoi: (murmuring in her sleep, in a low voice) “Dad… I’m not little anymore… stop… calling me… the little dragon…”

‏Silence filled the room for a few seconds, everyone staring at Aoi in shock. Her words were strange and mysterious, as if she were recalling old memories that Megami had never heard of before.

‏Akani: (whispering) “What was that? Did she just say… the little dragon?”
‏Shiromi: (calmly) “It seems Aoi is hiding something from us. Those words… they sound like an old memory.”
‏Megami: (looking at Aoi curiously) “Since when does she talk about dragons?”

‏Aoi shifted slightly in her sleep, but remained pressed against Megami’s knee.

‏Megami: (whispering to herself) “Dad? The little dragon? What does this mean?”
‏Akani: (with a slight smile) “Now, Megami, it’s your turn to uncover Aoi’s secret.”

‏Megami, still surprised, watched Aoi carefully, as if she were seeing a new side of her that she had never known before. While everyone exchanged glances with speculation, Megami’s thoughts spun around the meaning of Aoi’s mysterious words.

‏Shiromi: (calmly) “Perhaps it’s time to learn more about Aoi. She’s not quite who we think she is, is she?”

‏As the fog surrounding Aoi’s sleeping words lingered, the question remained in everyone’s minds: What is Aoi hiding from them, and what are these memories that surfaced in her moment of slumber?
:

‏Gradually, Megami smiled, as if she had discovered another side of Aoi. Without realizing it, her fingers gently began to move through Aoi’s long hair. Her movements were precise, deliberate, as though she was trying to calm her thoughts with that quiet moment.

‏Megami: (whispering to herself) “Who would have thought Aoi would be like this… calm, subdued.”

‏Aoi seemed to be in a completely different world, immersed in a deep sleep, smiling gently, while her hair cascaded smoothly between Megami’s fingers. Megami smiled silently, as everyone around them was busy observing the quiet moment.

‏Akani: (smiling softly) “Look, Megami is comforting Aoi… seems like she enjoys this moment.”
‏Shirumi: (smiling kindly) “Aoi is showing a sweet side of herself, even while asleep.”

‏That moment carried an unexpected tranquility, and each member of the council began to realize that Aoi was hiding a lot of mystery in her personality. Megami fell into deep thought about this hidden side that she had never noticed before.

‏Megami: (whispering, smiling gently) “You’re different, Aoi… and more complicated than I thought.”

‏Even in her sleep, Aoi held parts of the mysteries Megami had yet to uncover. With every touch of her hair, it seemed like an invisible bond was growing between them, as though the moment expressed a new aspect of their relationship.

‏The Next Day

‏The next morning, everyone woke up early in preparation for another day of adventures in Kyoto. The sun had started to rise, and the air was filled with the cool breeze of the winds. The room was buzzing with the usual activities, but something unusual loomed in the air.

‏Aoi woke up first, and when she opened her eyes, she realized she was still kneeling on Megami’s lap, who was asleep next to her. A moment of confusion passed through her mind before she remembered everything that had happened the previous night.

‏Aoi: (whispering, rubbing her eyes) “What… I was asleep here all night?”

‏She looked at Megami, who was breathing peacefully in her sleep. Aoi’s hair was tangled around Megami’s hand, making her feel something strange. She smiled faintly and sighed deeply.

‏Aoi: (whispering) “Thank you, Megami.”

‏At the same time, Akani and Shirumi woke up and noticed that Aoi was in an unusual position, sitting on Megami’s lap. They looked at each other with a small smile but decided to let them continue sleeping for a while.

‏Akani: (whispering) “Did you really sleep like this all night?”
‏Shirumi: (thinking) “It seems like something happened between them. This is the first time I’ve seen Aoi so calm.”

‏As Megami slowly opened her eyes, she remembered the moment she spent playing with Aoi’s hair while she was sleeping. She smiled gently without saying anything. She knew she was part of something deep, without fully realizing it.

‏Megami: (lazily) “Oh… good morning.”
‏Aoi: (shyly smiling) “Good morning.”

‏Their relationship seemed more mature now, as if it had evolved during those quiet and meaningful moments.

‏Akani: (teasing) “Aoi, were you just killing time in a deep sleep with Megami?”
‏Aoi: (in a calm tone) “I just needed some rest.”
‏Megami: (gently) “Aoi was exhausted… we’ve never seen her like this before.”

‏Everyone fell silent for a moment, watching the subtle shift in their relationships. Perhaps that moment marked the beginning of new developments, but everyone felt that the coming days would reveal more secrets and connections they hadn’t imagined.

‏ The Beginning of Change

‏The next day, the student council decided to go on a tour to one of Kyoto’s famous temples. Everyone was excited, but the atmosphere was filled with a sense of anticipation, as if they all knew something unspoken was developing between Megami and Aoi.

‏Akani: (looking at Aoi and Megami walking together) “I think something’s different between you two. Are you alright?”
‏Shirumi: (smiling lightly) “Aoi usually isn’t this calm… and what happened last night wasn’t typical.”

‏Aoi and Megami didn’t say anything, but there was a kind of silent communication between them. Megami felt something different toward Aoi, more than just the friendship that had once connected them. Aoi, who knew how to control her emotions, began to feel something unfamiliar. Perhaps this was the first time in a long while that she had felt this calm after everything.

‏They reached the temples, where the place was peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by stunning nature. The old temples reflected a rich history, filling the space with an aura of spirituality. The students began to explore and enjoy the beauty, but Megami and Aoi stayed together, talking in low voices.

‏Aoi: (looking at the temples) “You know, Megami? This place reminds me of a lot of things… of old memories.”
‏Megami: (quietly) “Sometimes, places like these are filled with more memories than the people themselves.”

‏Aoi looked at Megami thoughtfully, as if her words carried a deeper meaning. Between them was something unspoken, an invisible feeling that bound them together. Perhaps it was something more than just their friendship.

‏Aoi: (hesitant) “There’s something strange I feel… when I said those words last night… I was speaking the truth.”
‏Megami: (smiling gently) “I know. But maybe it’s time for you to share those memories with us.”

‏Aoi paused for a moment, then looked at Megami with eyes full of secrets. She knew it was time to talk about the past, but she wasn’t entirely ready to speak about it yet.

‏Aoi: (whispering) “Not now… maybe later.”

‏Megami nodded in understanding, sensing that Aoi wasn’t yet ready to fully open up. But she felt something inside her, a strong feeling that Aoi would tell her when the time was right. Perhaps their relationship was more than friendship, and perhaps one day they would discover more about each other.

‏Akani: (from a distance) “Come on, stop staring at the temples. We have a packed schedule!”

‏Everyone gathered, preparing to move on to their next destination, but Megami and Aoi exchanged a silent glance full of meaning. Everything between them had become clearer, even if indirectly.
‏Family’s Past Secrets

‏After dinner, filled with family conversations and laughter, the student council members decided to continue exploring the city while Emily and her family awaited the arrival of her grandfather and uncle. Everyone felt something unusual in the air, as if this journey was bringing together the past and the present in unexpected ways.

‏As the other students prepared to leave, Megami and Aoi approached Emily’s father, who was sitting in a quiet corner sipping a cup of tea.

Megami: (carefully) “I think we’re meeting you at a special time. It seems like Kyoto holds something significant for your family.”

‏Emily’s father looked at her with a warm smile, then set his cup aside before speaking in a calm voice.

Emily’s Father: “Yes, Kyoto holds a special place in our hearts. My grandfather loved this city very much. He always said that Kyoto carries priceless memories.”

‏Aoi, who had been watching closely, decided to ask, but in a roundabout way.

Aoi: “Did your family live here for a long time?”

‏Emily’s father nodded thoughtfully before answering.

Emily’s Father: “In fact, my grandfather lived here for quite some time when he was young. He worked in music and was part of an old Japanese music group. You might hear about the group when you meet your uncle and grandfather.”

‏Megami and Aoi froze for a moment, as it seemed Emily’s father had hinted at something larger than just a tourist visit. Kyoto was a place filled with memories, but for Emily’s family, it also held a musical history and old relationships that might intertwine with their present lives.

Megami: (hesitant) “Does that mean you’re part of Japanese musical history here?”

‏Emily’s father smiled carefully, as though their question had brought back an old memory he had preferred to keep hidden, but he decided to answer honestly.

Emily’s Father: “Yes, you could say that. But we don’t talk about it much. My uncle lived here for a long time and was a key member of that group. My grandfather always said that the music that lived in Kyoto was what made his heart come alive.”

‏The student council members exchanged looks full of curiosity. It seemed that Emily’s family was more than just visitors to Kyoto. They were connected to an old musical history and secrets yet to be uncovered. There was something that bound them to this city deeper than they had imagined.

Aoi: (quietly) “If your grandfather and uncle were part of that group, will they take us to a special place?”

Emily’s Father: (thoughtfully) “Perhaps… but we’ll have time to talk about that when we meet them. Let’s just wait.”

‏This was not the end of their meetings, but merely the beginning. In the heart of Kyoto, where everything seemed old but with new life in every corner, the student council and Emily’s family were about to uncover more secrets that would change the course of their journey. But this time, it would be different. The city wasn’t just a tourist destination, but the place that would reveal unexpected connections between the past and the present.

‏As evening fell, everyone prepared to meet the extended family the next day. With this meeting approaching, they felt something deep awaited them in the time and place that had brought together two different histories in an unexpected way.

‏ Questions in the Night

‏The clock had passed midnight, and everyone had settled into their rooms after a long day full of adventures and new memories. However, Aoi couldn’t sleep. She was watching the darkness around her, double-checking that all the students were in their rooms as scheduled. She was tired, but her mind still wouldn’t settle.

‏Sometimes, the feeling of responsibility haunted her, and she found herself quietly walking the halls, checking every corner, making sure everyone was safe. As she passed by Megami’s room, she felt something unusual waiting for her there.

‏She entered the room, where Megami was sitting on her bed, waiting with eyes half-closed, as if she knew Aoi would come.

Megami: (smiling cautiously) “Finally, Aoi. I knew you’d come.”

‏Aoi, who had quietly entered the room, looked at her carefully, then closed the door behind her.

Aoi: “Why aren’t you asleep yet?”

‏Megami was sitting comfortably but was watching Aoi closely, as if waiting for something, as if there was an important question on her mind.

Megami: “I was waiting for you to answer my questions.”

‏Aoi looked confused, unsure of what Megami meant. She knew that Megami didn’t ask ordinary questions but ones that carried a certain harshness, questions that opened doors that had been closed for a long time.

Aoi: (hesitantly) “What questions?”

‏Megami slowly smiled, then hoped that her questions would be clear enough without being too intrusive.

Megami: “You always seem calm and strong. But I know there’s something inside you… something you don’t want to talk about.”

‏Aoi stepped away from Megami for a moment, feeling her heart start to beat faster. She knew very well that this moment wasn’t just a casual chat, but she was about to reveal some of the secrets within her.

Aoi: (sighing) “I don’t think it’s the right time to talk about it.”

‏But Megami didn’t seem affected. She was determined to get an answer from Aoi and to uncover the truth, even if it meant breaking through the boundaries Aoi had placed around herself.

Megami: “Aoi, I’m here for you. Whatever you’re hiding, I won’t leave you alone.”

‏Megami’s words were sincere, but they weighed heavily on Aoi. There were moments in her life that she had chosen to remain silent and keep the secrets she had hidden for so long. But she couldn’t resist the warmth Megami had offered her in that moment.

Aoi: (whispering) “Sometimes I feel like I… can’t escape my past. The more I try to be strong, the more I remember things I don’t want to remember.”

‏Megami, who had been watching her with attention, realized that this was the moment she had been waiting for. Aoi had finally started to open up, and she was beginning to talk about a part of herself that she had tried to keep hidden.

Megami: “It’s okay. Take your time. But remember that I’m here when you’re ready.”

‏Aoi, looking at Megami with eyes filled with tension, felt a strange sense of relief. She knew Megami wasn’t forcing anything on her but was giving her the space to decide when to start revealing the truth.

Aoi: (softly) “Maybe one day… I’ll tell you everything.”

‏Megami smiled gently, took a deep breath, because she knew the road to the truth would be long. But she was determined to be part of that journey.

Megami: “I’ll be waiting for that.”

‏Then a moment of silence fell between them. Everything was as still as if time had stopped to give Aoi the chance to think, and to allow Megami to be the person she could rely on in the future.

‏As the dawn began to light up the horizon, it was a new beginning for both Aoi and Megami. Talking about the past wasn’t easy, but it was the first step in opening new doors together.

‏: Confession in the Night

‏Night had fallen over Kyoto, and the quiet filled the hotel where the students were staying. Aoi was doing her usual rounds in the hallways, making sure everyone was in their rooms as scheduled so no one would cause trouble. This wasn’t just a routine for her; it was something she felt was imposed by her sense of responsibility.

‏As she passed by Megami’s room, she felt something unusual. The door was slightly open, and inside the room, Megami was sitting on her bed, her eyes following Aoi carefully. She was waiting, as if she knew Aoi would come soon.

‏When Aoi entered the room, Megami was still sitting there, but this time, she seemed more serious than before.

Megami: (calmly) “Aoi, there’s something we need to talk about.”

‏Aoi felt hesitation in her heart, but she didn’t hesitate to enter. She knew this conversation was inevitable after the strange words Megami had heard from her the night before. Those words had been echoing in Megami’s mind, and now she was addressing them directly.

Aoi: (nervously) “What do you mean?”

‏Megami smiled a calm smile, then gently lowered her hand to touch Aoi’s hair, as if it were an expression of concern or perhaps some sort of comfort after the moments she had witnessed earlier.
‏ Megami: “You were talking in your sleep last night. You said some strange things.”

‏Aoi froze in place, her heart started beating fast. This was the moment she had been trying to avoid. But she knew Mikami wouldn’t back down from asking.

‏Aoi: (softly) “What did I say?”

‏ Megami: (smiling gently) “You said something about… a little dragon, and how you’re not small anymore. It was very strange.”

‏Aoi lowered her head for a moment, then took a deep breath. Her words, even in her sleep, revealed something she had tried to hide. Something about her past, or perhaps something deeply emotional inside her.

‏Aoi: (whispering) “I think I was thinking about something I wasn’t ready to talk about. It was… just an old feeling.”

‏ Megami, who was watching Aoi closely, knew there was something bigger behind those simple words. But she wouldn’t push any further. She understood that Aoi needed time to open her heart.

‏ Megami: “It’s okay. You can take your time. But I’m here if you want to talk about it.”

‏Aoi, who was looking at Megami with eyes full of confusion, finally smiled, as if she appreciated Mikami’s patience and care. It was clear she was trying to deal with her own feelings before opening any door to her past.

‏Aoi: “Thank you… I think I’ll be ready someday.”

‏Then a moment of silence passed between them, but it was the kind of silence that held its own meaning. There was an unspoken promise between Aoi and Megami, a promise that they would always be there for each other, no matter the secrets the coming days might bring.

‏And that night, as time passed slowly, it seemed that the bond between Aoi and Mikami was growing deeper, and they were beginning to build a strong foundation of trust and respect, even though the path ahead was filled with challenges.
‏Silent Closeness

‏In that quiet moment, filled with the soft light of the night, the atmosphere in the room was more intimate than ever. Aoi, sitting next to Megami on the bed, felt the gentle touch that began to seep into her heart.

‏ Megami, who was quietly playing with Aoi’s hair, was watching her in silence, her eyes full of concern. There was something unusual in this act, as if she was trying to reassure her, or perhaps giving Aoi a chance to express her feelings in a non-verbal way.

‏Aoi, beginning to relax, felt the pressure she had been carrying over the past few days slowly fading away. Megami was always there, asking for nothing from her, just staying by her side, and those gentle touches seemed to be an indirect expression of her support.

‏Gradually, Aoi felt something strange, something that grew stronger over time. She leaned more and more towards Megami, until she placed her head on her chest. This felt natural in that moment, even though Aoi wasn’t used to getting close to anyone this way.

‏ Megami, who felt Aoi’s head resting on her chest, smiled gently. She did nothing but let Aoi rest, allowing her to detach from her worries. There was a kind of silent communication between them, as if the words of the world had disappeared, leaving only that moment, which meant everything.

‏ Megami: (in a soft voice) “No need to worry. I’m here, always.”

‏Aoi didn’t respond immediately. She just stayed there, immersed in the strange comfort she had started to feel, thanks to Megami’s presence. She knew this moment was more than just relaxation. It was the beginning of a new understanding between them, the start of a new journey of trust and closeness.

‏And that evening, as the night filled the room, Megami and Aoi lived a moment of inner peace and calm, where everything seemed to be moving naturally, as if the world had stopped for a few hours to give them this opportunity to breathe, rest, and grow closer.

‏ Sleeping in Safety

‏The room was completely quiet, and as the sounds from outside faded, a reassuring silence filled the air. Aoi had completely settled in Megami’s embrace, feeling a warmth of safety she hadn’t felt in a long time. The stillness filled the place, and Aoi’s heartbeat slowed down, her breath flowing peacefully.

‏ Megami, sitting on the bed, looked gently at Aoi, who was asleep in her arms. Her eyes were filled with compassion and comfort, as if she carried the responsibility of protecting this moment.

‏Under the soft light of the night, Aoi seemed to have found her refuge, a place where there were no heavy emotions or burdens, just the peace Mikami’s presence had given her.

‏ Megami, though occupied with her own thoughts, maintained her calm and continued to relax with Aoi in her arms. There was no need for words, because everything was clear between them. Mikami understood that this moment was more than just sleep. It was an expression of something deeper: trust and comfort that wasn’t easily given.

‏In that moment, the world around them faded away, leaving only a sense of safety that didn’t need explanation. Megami, while watching Aoi sleep, felt something new in her heart—a warm sense of responsibility, but also comfort, as if a new commitment had formed between them.

‏As time passed, Aoi slipped deeper into sleep, while Mikami remained still, not wanting to disturb anything, contemplating the moment, the comfort that accompanied them together.

‏In that room, in the heart of Kyoto, peace reigned, and with it began something bigger, something each of them needed more than they realized.

‏: A New Beginning

‏The next morning, Aoi awoke quietly, her eyes opening slowly as soft light filtered through the curtains. She felt something strange, as if she had woken up in a new place, a place that held no burdens or responsibilities. But she quickly remembered where she was, and when she looked around, she found herself in Mikami’s arms.

‏Although Aoi was regaining her awareness slowly, she felt an extraordinary sense of safety, as if time had stopped in that moment. Mikami was still sitting beside her, her eyes closed gently, her head slightly tilted back. Her breathing was calm, and there was a peace radiating from everything around them.

‏Aoi, now fully aware of the moment, started to move gently to sit up. But she felt something strange, as if she were part of something greater, something deep… something that connected her to Mikami in a way she didn’t yet understand.

‏As she slowly raised herself from the bed, Megami opened her eyes softly, and when she saw Aoi waking up, she smiled quietly.

‏ Megami: (in a soft voice) “Good morning.”

‏Aoi, still carrying the sense of peace she hadn’t felt in a long time, smiled back, though she hesitated to speak.

‏Aoi: “Good morning… Thank you.”

‏Aoi’s words were simple, but they carried with them a deep gratitude that couldn’t be expressed with words alone. She felt that something had changed that night, and this day would be a new beginning for her.

‏ Megami looked at her, her eyes filled with concern but also tenderness, as if she knew this day might be filled with challenges, but she was ready to face them side by side with Aoi.

‏ Megami: “Did you sleep well?”

‏Aoi, feeling warmth in her heart, experienced that moment she had been waiting for over the past days. There was a sense of comfort and peace that hadn’t been there before.

‏Aoi: “Yes… I didn’t expect to feel this comfortable.”

‏ Megami smiled gently, then stood up from the bed, heading toward the window to open the curtains, letting sunlight spill into the room.

‏ Megami: “I’m glad to hear that.”

‏As the day continued to unfold, Aoi felt slowly how her relationship with Megami was changing. This wasn’t just the beginning of a new day, but the start of a new understanding between them, the start of a road that still held mystery but was accompanied by a strong feeling of trust and friendship that was naturally developing.

‏And in that moment, Aoi felt that a new beginning had already started, and she wasn’t alone on this journey.

‏ The First Steps of Change

‏After waking up together from the bed, Aoi and Megami decided to enjoy breakfast at the hotel. The morning air was refreshing, and the cold breezes that slipped through the windows made everything feel calmer than usual.

‏As everyone prepared for the next day of their trip to Kyoto, Aoi felt something different in her heart. There were many questions swirling in her mind, but there was also a new feeling—one of reassurance and comfort, as if a part of her burden had been lifted with Megami by her side.

‏On their way to the dining hall, they talked about the next day. Megami was eager to make the day special, filled with activities that would make the trip even more exciting.

‏ Megami: “Tomorrow we’ll visit one of the big temples in Kyoto, and I think it’ll be wonderful to take some photos there.”

‏Aoi, lost in her own thoughts, smiled gently.

‏Aoi: “I think I’ll need some time to think about everything. Maybe I need some quiet time.”

‏ Megami understood immediately, and answered with a gentle smile, casually placing her hand on Aoi’s shoulder.

‏ Megami: “That’s fine. If you want, you can join me later. I’m always here if you need anything.”

‏Aoi, feeling warmth from Megami’s support, discovered something new in herself. She had begun accepting the truth of her feelings, no longer afraid to express them. She felt that she could be more open with Mikami, and that the challenges she might face in the
‏The students were taken to a traditional inn, where they were warmly welcomed. After settling into their rooms and unpacking, they gathered in the main hall for a traditional Japanese welcome meal.

‏Akani (with a wide smile): “Did you see these dishes? They look like they’re from a painting!”

‏Koruko: “But don’t forget Megami’s instructions. We have a busy schedule tomorrow, so we need to prepare well.”

‏Everyone enjoyed the meal before heading to their rooms to rest, preparing for the next day.

‏Meeting the British Family

‏The next morning, while the students were getting ready to visit one of the famous temples, Akani noticed a British family staying at the same inn.

‏The family consisted of:
‏• Father: A friendly and cheerful man.
‏• Two daughters: One was a lively talker, and the other was quiet and contemplative.
‏• Three sons: The eldest was serious and responsible, the middle one adventurous, and the youngest very curious.

‏Akani, with her usual curiosity, approached the family and began talking to them kindly.

‏Akani: “Hello! You’re from Britain, right? What brings you to Kyoto?”

‏The father replied with a smile:
‏Father: “We’re here for a family visit. My father lives nearby, and we’ll be meeting him today. What about you?”

‏After some conversation, the other members of the student council joined in. Megami was surprised when the father called her by her full name and mentioned having an old connection with her family.

‏Father: “Is your father still using the nickname ‘Little Dragon’?”

‏Megami’s face turned a bit red, but she smiled politely.

‏Megami: “I think he gave that up a long time ago.”

‏Everyone laughed, feeling very comfortable with the family.

‏I Tension at Night

‏That night, as everyone was getting ready for bed, trouble began to arise. One of the students was harassed by a group of local boys who were near the inn.

‏Aoi, despite her exhaustion, quickly intervened along with Akani. They stood bravely and firmly in front of the boys.

‏Aoi: “Get away right now, or we’ll call the police.”

‏Thanks to their strong personalities, the boys backed off, and the student returned to the inn safely.

‏Akani (jokingly): “Maybe they should call you ‘Little Dragon’ too!”

‏Aoi laughed despite the tension, feeling grateful for Akani’s support.

‏The Bedroom and the Dare Challenge

‏Later that night, the members of the student council gathered in one room to chat before bed. Despite their tiredness, they decided to play a game of “Truth or Dare.” However, Aoi was already fast asleep.

‏Megami sat beside Aoi and gently played with her hair, as if trying to soothe her as she slept. Suddenly, Aoi moved slightly and mumbled in a sleepy voice:

‏Aoi: “Dad… I’m not little anymore… stop calling me Little Dragon.”

‏Megami smiled softly and continued playing with her hair until Aoi fell into a peaceful sleep in her arms.

‏The Last Day in Kyoto

‏The next day was the final tour in Kyoto. Everyone visited temples and historical sites, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the city.

‏The British family joined the tour. The little girl spoke Japanese fluently for her age, which amazed everyone.

‏Little girl: “Dad, are we going to meet Grandpa here?”

‏Father: “Yes, we’ll see him soon. Your uncle is coming too.”

‏The atmosphere was full of joy and warm goodbyes before returning to the inn to pack their bags.

‏Returning Home

‏After days full of adventures, the students returned to their homes. When Aoi arrived at her house, her father was waiting for her.

‏Aoi’s Father: “Welcome, Little Dragon!”
