Chapter Text
“Seriously, you can't even do this one thing right [ ]?!”
Broken pieces spread across the floor dotted with red. A sigh above him, a pause and the next line spoken softer. Still the sting of the hand in his hair all the same.
“I told you to be careful darling, you didn't listen and now you can't even clean up your mess. How useless.”
Not a single muscle in his body moved, completely changed to stone. He debated whether a vocal answer was demanded of him. The blood flowing silently from his hands onto the hardwood floor was another of his messes. One that he had to fix on his own, this afterall, was only his own doing. The hand tightened, pulling his hair. Lifting and angling his face to meet hers.
“We talked about this, did we not [ ]?” He couldn't hide the wince of pain from his face.
“When I talk to you, you look at me. Easy enough, right love?”
Thorns grew in his throat, threatening to suffocate him if he didn't appease her soon.
“Yea- yea…I'm sorry” His voice hitched as his brain catched up with his mouth. Even after the hours of disuse, his voice was still soft, barely above a whisper.
The tension on his skull faded and the hand slid from his hair to his jaw.
“Good boy, I love you.”
“…I love you.”
She gave a few gentle strokes on his cheek before retrieving the touch entirely. Instinctively his head followed the gentleness for a moment.
“Now pick the shards up properly and clean up all this mess you made on my floor. You're lucky to only have to clean it up, you know, I don't want to hurt you.”
He nodded rapidly, already following orders. The cuts were gifts of her patience and love. He would not disappoint again today.
