Work Text:
Poppet was an enigma. They’d heard of abstractions before, but in all stories, abstractions were violent and destructive. This one was a little child.
Maybe they were just… milder before the killer instincts kicked in??
It’s hard to tell, especially given the limited information on abstractions to begin with. Not much was known on their life cycle, nor if they even had age to begin with.
So this might be something groundbreaking for scientists studying abstractions. Maybe that’s a way they could get rid of it.
But, Poppet was also very innocent. They were hesitant to send a child to be picked apart.
Perhaps they just have to deal with the presence of this enigmatic… thing for now. What’s the worst that could happen, really?
