"You didn't have any specific animal you used to pretend to be as a kid? Like at all?" Jeremy stopped petting Peach's head to look at Jake.
Jake just shook his head and laughed, lightly scratching under Peach's chin, the cat climbing out of Jeremy's lap and onto Jake's now. "Not really?"
"Not even, like, a dog?" Jeremy scooted closer to Jake, both to lay on him and to pet his cat. "Michael sometimes used to make up dog species to be."
"If he was pretending to be a dog, how did that match with you pretending to be a shark?"
"That's where making up species came in. He would pretend to breathe underwater." Jeremy rested his head on Jake's shoulder as he spoke.
"Not a shark with legs?"
Jeremy lifted his head back up and scooted away from Jake again, eyes squinted at him. "I don't ever want that mental image in my head again. Give me back Peach."
