What a beautiful evening. Guizhong put her hand up in the sky, watching the stars shimmer above Liyue Harbour. It was nice, sitting in her blue and white suited dress with small designs of blue ruffles and flowers on the arms, with long sleeves to finally finish the outfit. Her hair flew softly with the wind, and finally, the glaze lilies. It was a perfect night, the stars shimmering, the wind sweeping her with a cool and steady breeze, and the most beautiful flowers ever. She sat there, admiring the night sky. Nothing could get better.
“Are you admiring the stars? Well, they certainly are nice, especially for a view you have.” A man spoke. Guizhong turned around to reveal a man who had a complex outfit on - black and gold sleeves, chest, pants and a nice little clip at the back for his ponytail. Guizhong smiled at the man, before looking back at the stars.
“They are beautiful, aren’t they.” Guizhong said, smiling as the man sat down in the field of glaze lilies, which had blue petals and a gorgeous gold on the inside. It was one of those nights where the glaze lilies had opened; a good night. Perhaps one for the man, perhaps one for her. “I’m Guizhong, and you must be?”
“Morax.” He spoke, his words clear.
“Well, that sounds like a lovely name.” She said, before smiling to him. She was delighted to be accompanied by someone like him on a night to admire the stars. Perhaps if they kept talking, they could be friends.
Moments went on as the two chatted about what they did, laughing and admiring the scenery together. Like if they just had clicked. The perfect pair. Guizhong appreciated the company of this stranger, but being there for so long was not what she expected tonight. But, it seemed like Celestia had other plans for her. As the two fell silent, she pulled out a little something.
“What’s this?” Morax said, his voice sharp but soft, like a perfect man.
“It’s a bell I made, and since I have no purpose for it, you can consider it a gift. It shows you your greatest memories.” Her words were soft to Morax. Not to soft, but soft spoken enough to make both of them blush for a few seconds. Before she gave it to him, she left it in his hands for 2 seconds, making direct eye contact. She blushed, before turning away embarrassed, covering her mouth with her sleeves. Morax let out a light chuckle, before he nodded his head in thanks.
The both sat there for moments, admiring the stars once again, and the loud chatters coming from the harbour. Before you know it, they were talking once more about what was going on, and watching the dances. Guizhong got tired, a sudden rush of sleepiness overcame her as she fell onto Morax’s chest, before realising what she did and immdediantly sitting up straight, embarrased, again. They watched the performances, complemented and joked with eachother, and watched the fireworks go off. It was really the perfect night. The stars, the entertainment, and a lovely stranger who she seemed to have… feelings for. The two spent the night watching dances and talking to eachother. But, the festivities were packing up. Everyone was getting ready to go home, but Morax had one more thing to ask.
“So… you invent things?” He said, before she smirked and took a funny remark. “Did it take you that long to notice? Wow.”
“What can I say, you could join me and the Adepti and we could make the most powerful weapons.”
Guizhong was stunned.
“Make weapons for the Adepti?! What are you on… I’m just a normal girl who makes funny little gadgets.” She said, before turning her head and crossing her arms. Deep down inside her thoughts, she was squealing with excitement. What a lovely way to end the night.
“I know who you are, goddess of dust. You’re sweet, amazing, and for you to be on our side… it would be such a pleasure in case we lost all this - incase I lost a friend like you.” Guizhong felt fuzzy on the inside. Not once had she been asked to ally with someone like Morax, let alone making some new friends. She knew, if she did this, she would be set for life no matter how long she lived. Whether it be one, 100 years, or 1000 years, she would appreciate it with all her life. She felt happy.
“Of course, I would love to.” She smiled, before Morax grabbed her hand and helped her stand up, with the bell still in his other hand. He kissed her hand, before looking at her in the eyes, smiling.
