"You know Jesper, we should really stop meeting this way," Keith looked over and smirked under his mask, "the second you look away I'm going to escape."
"Yeah, well if you quit stealing I would stop arresting you so often…” Jesper paused for a moment, “I just realized I don't know your name and thief is a general term." Jesper stared at him through the bars.
"I'm not telling you my name Jesper, general rule of thumb."
Jesper sat back down, still watching him and grabbed a journal, "Why does Dave know your name and I don't? I'm around you more."
"Dave doesn't know my name—also is that jealousy?” The thief chuckled, "I never thought I'd hear you sound jealous.”
The guard shifted in his seat, "it's not jealousy. I'm just saying it's a bit odd, and he does know your name. He just wouldn't tell me, which is weird because of how much he talks.” Jesper’s eyes looked down for a moment, “He said it starts with a K, sooo…" Jesper knew Dave didn't know his name but he decided to take a shot in the dark. He thought that he was probably wrong, but it's not a bad time to take a guess.
Keith looked over from the wall he was staring at with a confused face, "There's no fucking way he could have found that out..."
"So your name does start with a K?"
Jesper was surprised that he had guessed right and even more surprised that he got Keith to admit that his name started with a K, but now he had something to go off of at least; now he didn't just have to call him by ‘Thief’, but that still wasn't much. There are plenty of K names.
Keith had taken a minute before replying, "How the fuck did Dave find out my name? Did he accidentally join the thieves guild or something."
"You joke but keep in mind the amount of things he's joined on accident, and add that to the fact I just found out he's immortal." Jesper laughed as he said that.
"---Wait he's immortal now too? I swear he just keeps tacking shit on. I'm not even surprised by some of the shit he says anymore, it's just normal at this point."
"So do I get to know your name or-" he was interrupted by Keith. "No you don't and I'm bored, so I will see you later Jesper." With that, he disappeared into the sewer.
Jesper sighed and got up. Now that he really wasn't doing anything down here he had to go sweep around Dragonsreach; he hoped the Dragonborn hadn't turned anyone to cheese while he was dealing with the Thief.
