Chapter Text
Kinich is known for being, how to put it.. demanding, while doing his work, even if his work is gaming. When viewers talk of how much they enjoy his streams, his reply is often "Donate button is at the bottom right." He says it so deadpan, it makes his viewers laugh.
But, under one circumstance does he never want to call a price for his services. You. He only ever wants to serve you, be in your presence, talk to you.
Even to the point where he'll deny an invitation to a prestigious eSports competition, because it'll be too far away from you. Yet, through your encouragement, mentioning the monetary rewards, he'll comply. He won't stay for the celebration after, or even stay while the audience is applauding, as you're waiting for him. He only wants your congratulations.
Kinich's viewers revel in your minor background appearances, as infrequent as they are.
You assumed Kinich, as a professional, would rather have no distractions when doing the thing that makes an absurd amount of money. So you make an effort to not appear within the cameras view while on stream.
Would he actually prefer to be left to his own devices while streaming whatever competitive game he's playing..? Well, not exactly.
Obviously he knows should you be visible - on the stream, you wouldn't go out of your way to distract him or mess anything up. But, you being there, be it napping on him, or your brief appearances giving him some sliced fruit or a cup of tea, dare I say motivate him. Even make him cocky, doing risky maneuvers for iconic, creative wins in his games, often added to clip complimations.
Perceptive fans noticed this as well. His fans had already loved you, being terribly curious about the mystery person spotted in Kinich's home on occasion. Many videos compiling clips of your appearances. One was even a "learn the alphabet" video with every snack you've brought out and brief commentary made.
Not to mention the videos compiling everytime Kinich had a spike in "motivation" after you appeared or was watching him play. He always looks more like a sweat in those moments, even if you were looking at him instead of the game.
One day, after a hard shift at work, you got home while Kinich was streaming. Although he still greeted you, and asked how your day was. You were awfully tired, and didn't check if he was live or not, opting instead to sit on his lap and burrow your face in his neck.
"Hard day?" He said, ignoring the chat spam.
All you could muster was a "Mhm.."
He started playing with one hand, the other consoling you. "Want me to make dinner or should we order takeout?"
".... You want takeout? Where should we go?"
For someone so collected, his viewers were not. The view count was higher than normal, hardly being able to read a message in chat.
"Sounds good, I'll order that." He kissed your forehead while massaging your back.
Team Kill!
A robotic voice announced from Kinich's monitor.
Its safe to say this moment was his most well-known, even people from outside his fandom heard of what was going on. It would be hard not to, with all the clips reposted. Playing single handedly, getting a team kill, while making everyone else feel single?
But, the clip was also iconic for another reason.
Him saying "Want me to make dinner"? ....He's never beating the malewife allegations.
