Your voice has mesmerized me to a degree I rarely experienced before. When I first heard it, I felt it go through my head and resonate, carve itself into my mind and leave a permanent impression.
I can only listen to certain songs live because your voice is easier to isolate from others. I know when to skip to in my favorite songs to get a glimpse of it, no matter how short. I can listen to those parts again and again, and I never get enough.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a scream or clean singing. It doesn’t matter if it’s distorted by a crappy live recording or laced with hesitations. It doesn’t matter if you sing the whole song or just a few seconds of chorus. It doesn’t matter if you sing high or low or deep. As long as it’s yours.
I’m wishing every day to be able to see you again, to hear you again, to close my eyes and just float into space, to experience once more that eerie feeling I got the one time I was lucky enough to hear you directly, not through a recording.
