Chapter 1: Danny is too ugly

Chapter Text

Alice Hwang was many things. She was smart, popular and downright gorgeous. She was a member of the student council. She had an amazing boyfriend, great friends and she knew that she would be the prom queen. That was until she met the transfer student. Danny Nightingale, a quiet messy greasy new kid. Alice didn't understand how the academy would let a rat into the school. When she first saw him from behind she was so confused, why was there a poor man in an oversized sweater and sweats just standing in front of the office the week before school started back up. He wasn't exactly tall but he was taller than her. He looks Shaggy and scrawny at best.

Ms. Blair asked her to guide the new student around the school. Alice bared it with a smile. The secretary walked off leaving Alice and Danny alone. She went to grab him but he pulled away rather quickly. Alice looked up at him and she tried to look at his face but his hair, as messy as it was, was covering it up. Ms. Blair returned in a bit of a rush holding out a piece of paper.

"Forgive me, Mr.Nightingale, Ms.Hwang. This is actually your adjusted schedule. Ms.Hwang, our new student uses sign language which is why the headmaster chooses you to guide him. I hope you find our school to your liking Mr.Nightingale. If you have any issues please come see me or your guidance counselor." Danny nodded before facing back to Alice. Alice and Danny were shown out the office and into an almost empty hallway. Alice looked around to the teachers with their freshman students. She was reminded she had a job to do.

Alice knew she wasn't the only student on the student council that knew sign language but she did know she was one of 4 students that arrived early. Alice was prideful at best but to set a good example she will make this best tour. Danny didn't ask many questions. Aside from the occasional where was the exit. Alice took notes of his questions and took one long look at him and classified him as a delinquent that skipped often. How the academy let someone like him into the school Alice was slightly offended.

"Have you received your uniform?" Danny nodded. They finally reached the end of their tour. Alice showed him to the front of the school when she felt an unnerving chill down her spine. When she turned to look back at Danny he was already gone. She looked down the stairs to see a tall lady in leather talking to Danny. When Danny got past her she didn't know but she wasn't going to ask. Alice went back into the school still feeling chilly, she assumed that fall was setting in sooner than usual.

If you had asked Alice if she was going to be okay after giving it an entire tour to basically a delinquent. She would have just scoffed at you not really thinking much of it. She was never going to run into him again they were two different people from two different worlds she really didn't care much about it. And she would have been right not until the first day of school. She walked into her first period, AP Chemistry, looking down at the desk's corners, this teacher had everyone alphabetized by their first name. She found her seat and looked at her neighbor's desk on her right. In big bold letters. 'Danny Nightingale'. Just her luck. As other students started to file in, almost everyone had arrived aside from her neighbor. She expected as much and really didn't care if he didn't show up. At least then they wouldn't be aside as lab partners.

"Hello students, please take your seats so I can take attendance. My name is Dr.Greenhorn, not Mr greenhorn, not Mr.G or Dr.G. Dr.Greenhorn. anything else and I will take 5 points from your next test next week." Alice could hear the groans across the classroom. Every year she would get a teacher like this and even worse she knew teachers like this wouldn't accept her complaints about a certain neighbor and she would have to make do. Once the professor started taking attendance, when he called for Danny there was going to be no obvious response until the door busted open. Messy hair and not even wearing his uniform correctly. He looked out of breath but was breathing just fine. The professor looked him up and down before asking him if he was Danny. Danny just nodded and the professor told him to take a seat. Even sitting next to him Alice could never see his face properly. She was tempted to tell him to get a hair cut.

The day moved on, she was almost glad that they didn't have second third and even fourth together. The less she saw the guy the better. He gave off "I will drag you into trouble" energy and she couldn't have that. One of her friends, Sabrina, told her that he was in her american history class, sat right behind her and slept right through the class. Typical. Alice spoke too soon however for Danny Nightingale shared Gym with her. At least he kept his distance from her, Alice couldn't help but notice he was signing to none other than Duke Thomas. A Wayne kid, even if adopted held so much power. Alice only wished to have classes with him. Danny being with him looked weird, almost wrong. It didn't seem like he was antagonizing him. Even worse it seemed that Duke enjoyed his company.

It was finally lunch and Alice absolutely starved after having to go to the gym on an empty stomach. She sat with her friends and boyfriend and watched Danny and Duke walk into the cafeteria. Duke was carrying most of the conversation but Danny looked to laugh at certain things Duke was saying. They sat a few seats over and Alice couldn't help but glance over once and awhile. Wondering how their dynamic even worked. It was all peaceful until a group of football players came in. Alice Hwang was many things. Beautiful, Smart and Popular. One thing she was not was a bully. She had her moments for sure but she mostly kept her thoughts to herself. Watching the football kids walk over to Danny while he was in the middle of signing something to Duke, she knew exactly what was about to happen. She whispered to one of her friends to go get a teacher and to the others, to record just in case. She was a student council member and they were supposed to be the best example for students. She wasn't going to let this slide if it came down to it.

"Well would you look at that, the charity case found another freak to bring home to Daddy." Alice could hear something along the lines of 'how original' but she couldn't tell who it came from. The player that said that try to took a hold of Danny. "Black hair right, lets see if he has the eyes to match it!" Grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled it back to show his face. Alice got up to help but as she got closer she stopped. Alice was stunned, this was not an appropriate time to be admiring Danny. She could have sworn someone behind her took a picture, but her train of thought was interrupted by a teacher who was yelling at the player who was holding Danny. The other (cowards) players scattered as soon as they heard the door open. Leaving the jock to get trouble on his own. The teacher noticed Alice and signaled her and Duke to come with as witnesses. Alice told her friends to send her the videos so she can have them.

While waiting in the waiting room, her group chat was blowing up. Her friends were getting into details she really didn't want to know about Danny and her boyfriend messaged her on the side asking for forgiveness. She looked confused at her phone before asking him was he was talking about. He told her that Danny gave him a bi panic and she couldn't help but laugh. If she wasn't being asked to be a witness she would be teasing him ruthlessly about it in person. When she was finally called into the headmaster office she was met with almost everyone eyes on her.

The jock and his mother who looked almost intimidating, had it not been for her very obvious favoritism for her son and the look of 'she was always going to get what she wanted'. On the other side was Danny whose hair was back to how it was. Perfect for her because she would be blushing like a school girl and not thinking straight at all. The older man next to him most have been his father and oh wow beauty was genetic for sure. Alice was screaming internally. Alice presented the video from her friend to both Headmaster and parents and it was very clear who was leaving scott free. She wondered what lie the mother spun to cover for her son before then. Even with Duke's testimony. Screaming from the mother and threatening to sue everyone in the room for defamation. Danny's father just scoffed and didn't even bother responding to her excessive rambling.

It wasn't until she started calling Danny slurs that his Dad had enough. Had it not been for Danny holding his dad's shoulder Alice was pretty sure she was able to witness a murder. The headmaster also seem to have had enough and dismissed everyone else but the mother and jock. The academy had a no bully policy, and with how the mother acted in the office Alice was pretty positive that they were never going to see them again.

Alice was so ready to get back to class but she felt a tap on her shoulder, she turned to see Danny who was being sent home for the rest of the day. She asked him why he was still in the school and he signed to her a thank you. He was glad that she and her friends were quick thinkers. He noticed she send her friend to get a teacher and appreciated the gesture of help. Alice was definitely wrong about this guy. She was a bit stupid for assuming this guy was delinquent, at best he was a nerd. She giggled at herself for that dumb thought. Instead of accepting the thanks she just signed to him about his uniform being on incorrectly before pointing to the uniform board by the entrance. Alice walked off to go find her gay panicked boyfriend and tell him about the wildest things that just happened.

Chapter 2: Danny is too creepy

Chapter Text

Katherine and Remon Perez are twins and on occasion, liked playing pranks on people by doing the worst things twins can do. Everything is identical and be in sync to an alarming degree. It was October, the perfect month to mess with people. Due to them getting a little too into the act the year before, the headmaster made sure they didn't share more than 1 class together. They didn't like that they would have to make due. They were still close to each other so they could meet up before the next class and stocked the halls to mostly spook their friends. It was on one particular Wednesday that Katherine ran up to Remon in a panic.

"Breathe sis, the dogs aren't chasing you. What happened, you look frizzled." Remon wasn't sure what had gotten into his sister but she started shaking, he was worried she was about to start crying until she started laughing hysterically. "Have you gone insane or did you somehow inhale the joker toxin??" She pushed herself off him before calming down.

"Ray you will never believe what I've found." Remon looked unimpressed with his sister. Whenever she said that why they were about to get into something messy or something chaotic. And high chances it was both. "Oh come on, don't give me that face. You know that guy I told you about. The one from my American history that is always sleeping? Yeah apparently he is a big fan of horror. He had the scream soundtrack as his ringtone it was hilarious when it went off. I asked him about it and he told me he liked horror movies. We should totally get him on board with our plans!"

"Why are we doing that exactly? Isn't he new? I also heard he is a bit shady Kathy." Katherine pouted, Remon couldn't really say no to his sister, plus she knew how much Remon was actually interested in meeting the new transfer student. Transferring to Gotham academy was already rare, even more for the last year of high school. He sighed and shrugged at his sister. Like that, they were off to find him.

Turned out Danny had Study hall at the moment so they ended up in the library. The academy was huge to accommodate all the students topics from arts to zoology. After scooping out the library for a bit they had finally found him. He sat at the end of the table reading what looked to be a greek mythology book next to his friend Duke who was clearly stressing over chemistry. Danny glanced over to his friend once before carefully sliding his notebook to him. He went back to his book, while Duke seemed to be silently praying to him like some kind of deity. Remon was going to walk over before Katherine grabbed him and they hid behind a bookshelves. He looked over at his sister before she told him to shush.

He was going to ask why before he looked at his sister and she was looking through the gaps in between the selves. She was looking at Danny and he decided to just follow. A few moments passed where he was going to ask why they were doing this when Danny closed his book rather loudly. They were a bit confused on why he did that until he looked over directly in their direction. Remon grabbed his sister and pulled her down. Was Danny's eyes glowing? It almost looked like he was breathing out mist. When they peeked back over to see if he was still looking, he was gone. Duke left on his own with Danny's notes. They definitely didn't hear him leave or even get up. They looked at each other and agreed that maybe not asking Danny was a better idea. They didn't believe their classmate was exactly human.

When school finally let out for the day Remon and Katherine were walking out with their friends to head over to the park. Remon and Katherine spotted Danny sitting under a tree. After the library either of the twins ran into Danny until now. Looking over to him it looked like he was beaten up. But getting a clear look at him, he didn't look like Danny exactly. He looked paler, his eyes were glowing a bright green in contrast to Danny's blue. Even worse it looked like he had fangs and pointed ears. Danny was some kind of vampire?

"Are you seeing this?" Remon asked his sister and she nodded. She went to snap a picture to see if they were hallucinating but Danny's(?) head snapped their direction and Katherine dropped her phone. She scrambled to grab it and when she looked back up, Danny(?) was gone. "Did any of you guys see that?" Remon asked their friends but they all looked at them confused. Looking back at Katherine who looked concerned they decided to wave it off as a very weird day. In Gotham, hallucinations were common. They were probably just hallucinating right?

Wrong, very wrong. Anytime on or the other twin saw Danny that week they were deeply unsettled. Remon, walking into the men's room to see Danny flicking in and out of existence in the corner. The bathroom lights flickered along with him and all the sinks were turned on and off. He was lucky Danny was turned away from the door because he walked right back out. Katherine, ran late to American history and finally arrived at class. She took her seat only to hear some kind of chanting whispers next to her in a language she didn't recognize. Danny was aggressively driving his pencil into the note book. She couldn't exactly see it but she could tell his eyes were glowing. Eventually during their lunch, instead of going to the cafeteria they liked spending time in their favorite teachers classroom. When they opened the door, they found their favorite teacher tied to the chair and duck tape over his mouth with Danny hair tied up, holding a notebook and Duke holding a baseball bat. There was a moment of silence before Remon excused him and his sister closed the door and ran off.

Katherine told Remon they should tell a teacher, but when they went back because they actually had that class after lunch their teacher looked fine. He even stopped them and asked if they were already and that they didn't drop by for lunch like they usually did. They weren't sure what to tell him. They just made an excuse and went to sit. Remon and Katherine were going insane. Late that day, they watched Danny and Duke leave the school laughing as if they didn't hold a teacher hostage in their own classroom. They seem to be the only ones actually experiencing this. No matter how many stories they told their friends, none of them believed them.

It was now three days before Halloween, Gotham had rules and the twins decided to not worry about Danny any longer and focus on the upcoming worst and best holiday in Gotham. Both preparing their costumes and the academy decorating the gym for the Halloween dance. The student council asked them to retrieve some things from the science & arts department so that's where they went. Remon ran right into Duke and Danny.

"Oh, sorry dude we didn't see you there." Danny signed to Duke who just shook his head. "Apparently only I didn't see you, rude. Anyway are you ok? I thought you guys were on the party committee. This is the wrong building. Right?" Duke upclose sounded genuinely worried. Remon wasn't even sure what to feel, he did notice that Danny offered his hand to pick him back up. He took his hands and now was back on his feet. Katherine was fidgeting a lot and hid behind him so the other two wouldn't notice. They were definitely nervous of Danny. Danny signed to Duke who looked a bit shocked before turning to him. "Danny asked if you two have plans tonight?" Both of them shock their heads. Danny signed again and Duke translated, apparently a few students from class were getting together to go to a movie and asked them if they wanted to join. Not wanting to cause trouble they said yes without thinking.

They went to see an old horror movie that was replaying for Halloween. Unfortunately for the twins they sat right next to Danny and Duke. Duke had his moments, almost screaming as much as Katherine. Remon hated old horror movies so he definitely knew he was going to lose his voice by the end of it, but looking over to Danny, he didn't scream once. He was completely still the whole time. Even worse Remon was pretty sure Danny fell asleep at some point because by the end of the movie Duke had to shake him awake. Afterwards Duke offered to take them to Bat Burger for a quick meal. Danny was drowsy the whole time and kept passing out on Duke who just shoved fries in Danny mouth that caused Danny to start choking.

"Is he ok???" Katherine asked and Danny just waved her off. He jabbed Duke in the rib, and whined really hard. Almost as if he was injured beforehand. Duke glared at Danny who was victoriously eating his burger. Remon couldn't help but laugh at their antics. It reminded him a lot of him and Katherine when they weren't playing the whole twin stitch. Whatever they saw mustn't have been real. Right in front of him were two guys that goofed around way too much. Katherine seemed to agree because she started stealing his fries too.

Chapter 3: Danny is too weak

Chapter Text

Halloween came and went, along with every other issue and villain attacks. It was election week which meant school was out for the week. Eric Nicholas hated that week because even though school was out of session, their coach still insisted they play and practice. His basketball captain was way too eager to do the same. Their group chat that was normally filled with memes from the seniors were now filled with schedule planning and routines for the freshmen and sophomores. Eric aggressively sighed before agreeing to go to one of the courts near his house with some of the guys. Eric decided he was going for a run. Saying goodbye to his bed was hard but he was up and about.

He swung by his favorite coffee shop, he was going to order when he realized he was standing in front of him. Danny Nightingale, he was pretty sure this kid was rich. Why was he working in a coffee shop he wasn't sure. He wasn't going to question it. Wait no this guy didn't talk! Eric kept staring until he heard an aggressive cough behind him. He was holding up the line. He ordered and moved out of the way. Why the mute kid from his school working at a coffee shop was the weirdest thing but hell it wasn't any of his business. He took his treat and drink and left. He didn't think too much about it until he ran into Danny again. Well not really ran into but in his general area. The guy was walking a bunch of dogs. He definitely didn't own all of them. Was he a dog walker too? It was the weekend, Sunday no less. He probably just did stuff like this to kill time. But when one of the dogs saw a butterfly, they yanked Danny who fell flat on his face. This is when Eric realized that Danny was not physically fit at all.

Danny finally got up, after a few attempts first, and brushed himself off. He got the dogs under control but he spent a good hour doing so. Eric was so confused and trying really hard not to laugh at the poor guy. Eric didn't share classes with the guy, the rumors on him were 50/50 at best. One half thinks that he is the prettiest guy in school even though Eric didn't know how true that was, Danny's rat nest hair covered most of his face so he really couldn't tell. As for the other half, dramatic at best. They say Danny is terrifying. He held a teacher hostage, threatened Duke Thomas into being his friend and even rumors of him being a vampire. But what Eric was looking at right now was a guy that was dorky lanky and honestly has too much free time guy.

Eric went home afterwards to continue his weekend plans. Monday rolled around and he got up and ready to meet the guys by the park near him. He again ran into Danny who was holding balloons and a sign. Tell him one space fact and he will give them a balloon. A lot of the kids were surrounding him yelling things to get a balloon from him. Eric genuinely believed this guy had way too much free time. Danny noticed him and waved before drawing his attention back at the kids. Eric shrugged it off before joining his teammates on the court. Around noon Eric and the guys went to the local pizzeria to get some food. They played a few games and whoever lost the last round had to pay, Eric lost so he was paying. He went to order and while he was paying noticed the guy pulling out and putting in pizza. It was Danny again, did this guy have nothing better to do? Eric paid and went to sit with his team but he wasn't focused at all. He kept staring at Danny who was struggling to pick up and put down the pizzas as if it was too heavy for him. The guy had 0 strength. Why they even hired him was beyond Eric.

They left after eating and Eric looked back once to see Danny staring at him and his teammates leaving. Eric didn't think too much about it but he could definitely feel a chill down his spine as he left. While him and his team practiced they kept going until evening. The last thing they needed was to get robbed so they all went home. However Eric wanted to get a snack so he stopped by the corner store across from the park. Once he was in he saw a familiar rat nest. He swore to himself if this guy was working here too he would call him a stalker. It wasn't until he noticed a short kid next to him signing up to him. Oh Danny brought someone with him, they were just shopping.

Eric went about his business getting his snack and getting in line to pay. Danny and the kid paid after him and they ended up walking out close together. Which was a mistake, a group of kidnappers seemed to be waiting for them and nabbed all 3 of them. The next thing Eric knew they were tired up to the building columns. Eric looked around for a moment to see both the kid and Danny tied to the column across from him. The kid was very much away and yelling verbal insults at the kidnappers. Eric couldn't tell if Danny was awake but he looked back at the kid and let his vision focus a bit more. The kid with him was Damian Wayne. Well crap, Eric should have known Danny was literally friends with Duke Thomas.

Danny swayed a bit so Eric knew he was still awake. Eric was wondering which villain got them. He was hoping, almost praying it wasn't who he thought. But with the colorful goons, and almost spray painted guns it was his worst fear. The maniacal laugh didn't help, as the Joker walked in twirling his infamous crowbar. He gave his grand speech to the camera set up and went on his rambles about Batman and Robins. He felt like recreating something. Eric was too panicked and his blood rushed to his ears so his mind was cloudy as all hell. Eric looked over to Danny who was above all else focused on Damian. He wasn't even paying the clown any mind even when he was asking him questions. The joker seemed to be fed up with being ignored however.

The Joker grabbed Damian by the scruff, and raised the crowbar to start the process. Eric looked away but no impact ever came. Eric looked back to see the joker on his back and Danny beat the living crap out of him. For a guy that seemed lanky and acted like the equivalent of a piece of paper in the wind, he was hitting the joker hard. Really hard, blood and everything. If eric didn't know better would have almost assumed this guy was going to kill him. Wait, Eric did know better, and he was witnessing his classmate, Danny Nightingale, the mute transfer student kill the joker. If it wasn't for some random guy who seemingly came out of nowhere picking Danny off the joker he would definitely be dead.

The person that picked Danny up was wearing a hooded cloak so he really couldn't see the person's face. They picked Danny up by the armpits and once Danny was off the joker he seemed to calm down almost instantly. The figure didn't say anything to Danny but tossed him over his shoulder. Getting a good look the guy was huge. The cloaked figure took the camera and Danny with them. Leaving both Eric and Damian, right in time for Batman and the rest of the clan to swoop in. A small interview with the police and a visit to the hospital, Eric was finally able to get home. He turned on his phone to find his basketball coach and the captain called him over a dozen times. At least they were looking out for him.

Chapter 4: Danny is too entitled

Chapter Text

Arthur Smith hated people. More specifically he hated rich people. Most people who heard him say that would call him a hypocrite. He was rich, like rich rich. His family was invited to the galas, the works. What he didn't like was, now that it was December, he had to attend winter galas, Christmas parties and the grand Wayne end of the year Gala. Worse of all, as a senior in Gotham Academy, all the girls and guys were asking him or people like him to be their plus one. It was a once in a lifetime chance for some students so they took their chances asking the students who were able. Arthur was not a fool, he knew his status and was no stranger to people asking him. He was used to that, so why was he currently confused.

"I'm sorry, I must have read this wrong. Are you not asking me for the spot to get into the New years gala?" Arthur next to nothing about the boy in front of him. Danny Nightingale, was the name he wrote on the piece of paper. Danny just looked at him and Arthur couldn't tell what expression he was making. His hair was a rat nest, he should have it cut. Arthur was getting off topic in his own mind. Danny just pointed back to the question he originally wrote. "Yes, I do have the Poetry notes? You can burrow them but do not get any food stains on them." Arthur squirted at him, Danny was taller than him which kinda made him nervous handing him his notes. However he still found the guy odd. He didn't seem to care all for Arthur and just wanted his notes.

Once Danny flagged him down after his 3rd, Arthur puffed his chest and thought Danny was going to ask him now and was going to shut him down. Instead Danny just handed back his notebook, signed Thank you and walked off. Arthur was so confused for the rest of the day. During his study hall, Danny tracked him down again and Arthur was ready again, just for him to ask for a pencil. Danny went back to return the pencil but that's when Arthur stopped and told him to sit.

"You, you've been asking me for things. What is it that you want? Are you trying to play the long game?!" Danny tiled his head a bit before grabbing a piece of paper from his bag and writing something down. He slid it over and it said "My friend Duke is out, I normally steal from him but since he is sick and we share similar periods I thought to ask you. Also what long game?" Arthur scoffed, he couldn't tell if Danny was joking or being serious.

"The NYEG. Duh. That's all everyone is talking about, you kept bothering me because my plus one is still open." Danny scribbled down and slid the page back. 'Was he supposed to know what that was?' Arthur looked at him as if he was stupid. "The New Year Eve Gala hosted by the Wayne family you idiot!" Arthur didn't mean for that last part to come out but it came out anyway. Danny stared for a second because writing on the piece of paper again and getting up to leave. 'Oh that, I was already invited to go to that. I didn't mean to keep bothering you though, have your pencil back. Have a nice life!' with a smiley face next to it. The entitled son of a- Watch your language Arthur. Wait why was he talking to himself? Arthur was annoyed but he didn't let it affect his mood.

Once he left the library a girl walked up to him and asked about going to the gala. Arthur felt triumphant, so it was only Danny who was weird like that. Arthur concluded that Danny was the problem. Coming across other students who were personally invited to the gala were rare, how Danny even got in was beyond Arthur. For the rest of the month until winter break, Arthur went about his routine every year. Eventually he said yes to one Sabrina Lee. Arthur made sure him and Sabrina were matching so they decided to go to a tailor and pick colors out.

While there Arthur noticed a familiar bush for hair. Danny Nightingale and two girls were visiting the same shop. Arthur looked him up and down and scoffed. There was no way he could afford anything in the shop. One of the girls was a loud blonde trying a purple dress and the other was a redhead in a wheelchair. How the staff such people into the store made him question the connections Danny had.

"But Babssss- look at this dress, green is your color girl! Tell her Danny, green is her color RIGHT?!" The obnoxious girl was pretty much hanging off of Danny, he had to bend to keep himself steady why she hung off him. Danny shook his head before pointing to an expansive dark teal dress then signed to the girl in the chair.

"Danny's right Steph, even if it's cute. I think something with mobility is way better for me. We can't be too careful after all." Steph, it seems, pouted before flagging down a staff member to help the other girl try the teal dress. Arthur paid no mind to the rest of their antics, even though he did look over a couple of times when Steph would screech from excitement. Why didn't the staff just kick them out? Arthur was definitely going to file a complaint.

It was finally New Year's eve, his parents gave him a long and lengthy talk about getting close with the Wayne's. They do it every year, Arthur never even had a chance in the previous years. Tim Drake didn't even acknowledge his existence last year and Arthur was still bitter about it. This year he was determined, if he didn't his parents would cut him off the moment he turns 18 and everything he worked for would go to his sister. He couldn't have that.

Walking in with Sabrina was a show. Sabrina Lee was friends with a few power hungry people at school so he wasn't surprised that they were stopped a few times. He really didn't care for any of her associates, after all the only reason he agreed to her proposal was because she fit the bill of what his parents expected from him. Eventually they made it inside the venue and here is where things got tricky. Despite this being held by the Wayne family, they were fashionable late, or in Gotham term, everyone else was fashionable early. After a while when more guests arrived, the Wayne's finally arrived. Bruce Wayne took center with only 3 of his sons. Damian Wayne, Duke Thomas and the infamous Tim Drake. Arthur was determined to get a connection with the Wayne's however one more person appeared behind Tim. Arthur didn't recognize him at all but he looked almost exactly like Bruce Wayne.

"Are you ok Arthur?" Sabrina asked him, he looked over to her slightly confused but she told him that he was red. His face felt hot but he just told her he was fine. Arthur looked back over to the man. His hair was slicked back, his eyebags were barely visible from that distance but he looked like a carbon copy of Bruce Wayne. Arthur gestured to him and Sabrina started blushing hard. Whispering something along the lines of 'oh my, she was right'. He wasn't sure what she was babbling about but they made their way to Waynes.

The usual crowd and the Wayne broke off, the mystery man went with Duke while Tim stayed entertaining socialites. Bruce and Damian went off most likely to introduce and concur. Arthur would have gone to Tim Drake like he did every year but he was more interested in the mystery man. Sabrina was more than happy to since Duke Thomas was also one of their classmates. Arthur never talked to him but it was worth a shot now.

"Omg, Duke, Danny, you both look amazing!" Arthur blue screened for a moment. Did Sabrina just say Danny? No it couldn't possibly, but it could be. Danny did say he had a friend named Duke. But his current outfit wasn't the one he got from the tailor they went to. Arthur must have been staring because Danny started directing at him with a confused look. He signed to Duke and Duke just chuckled. Arthur's face was fully flushed and he just wanted to disappear. He made a fool of himself and is not suffering the consequences.

Chapter 5: Danny is too lazy

Chapter Text

New year, same students. Ms.Farah was no stranger to this. She has been teaching for almost 20 years and every year the student would still be the same. This year would be no different, and she would be correct. She taught American history to seniors this period and as she carefully watched her students file in, a specific student came into the room slouching as always. Danny Nightingale, she had read his transcripts. He was homeschooled before his family came to the States. She would have been impressed with him, especially since he passed the entrance exam with amazing scores. However Danny Nightingale was everything but impressive. He slept through her class, every single day.

Ms.Farah knew she couldn't force anything on him however, his grades are impeccable. All assignments were submitted on time and all correct. She couldn't actually call on him to answer either because that is just making a fool of herself. So she came to a solution. Group projects, as tedious as they were, it was the best solution she could come to. A group project that required everyone to participate and no one can do it by themselves, if they did their whole group will fail. She would make no exceptions so today was the day she would put her plan into action. She announced that group projects, of course the students looked less then happy to do so but Farah was determined and pressed on.

"Sabrina Lee, Julian Malcolm, Danny Nightingale and Katherine Perez. You 4 will be the last group. And EVERYONE must pull their weight. If someone doesn't, do not hesitate to tell me." She said to the teens, Danny Nightingale in question was passed out and not even acknowledging her. She was tired of him and will make sure he failed if she could help it. But of course she could not do it with baseless accusations. Once the other 3 of the group comes to her about him, she will finally be able to report the boy. As she walked away she could hear Sabrina Lee trying to wake up Danny. He groaned and turned his head away. She was definitely going to find a way to get that child out of her classroom.

Throughout the week she watched over the group carefully while they were in her class. Sabrina passed notes to Katherine. Julian scribbles out words from a page before handing it back to Sabrina. Nothing was given or received to one Danny Nightingale who looked like he was struggling to even stay awake. When she went around to do a wellness check on each group, she arrived at their group and Julian was very obviously holding Danny's head up with his arm. When she asked if everything was ok the children simply nodded. The children were clearly covering for Nightingale and she was annoyed they didn't just abandon him.

When the day for the presentations finally came, Nightingale's group was last. She wasn't really paying much attention to the other groups, eventually giving input but not giving an overall critique. Once they finally got Nightingale's group, she was laser focused. She really wanted to give her opinion but the group did flawlessly. Even worse they labeled slides by who did what. Ms.Farah pulled Sabrina aside and asked her if she was being threatened or something by Danny. For a student who did absolutely during her class, he was only awake during a quiz or test and even then he would fall right back to sleep being one of the first few done too. She had tried to catch him cheating but whatever he was doing she couldn't tell. She almost accused him of being some kind of meta. She didn't believe he was actually getting these right on his own. He grades were too perfect.

"You can tell me Ms.Lee." Sabrina looked more confused and firmly stated that Danny did do his slides. Ms.Farah was less than pleased but couldn't do much about it. Danny looked over to Ms.Farah and she looked back. She turned away from him but she felt an actual chill down her spine. She turned back and Danny was gone. The person standing behind her was the school counselor. A tall woman with red hair neatly put into a bun. She watched the last students leave the class and turned back to Ms.Farah.

"Ms.Spare, good morning I didn't hear you walk in. Can I help you?" Normally counselors stayed in their offices unless something was wrong. Ms.Spare smiled slightly, it was very unsettling but just asked her if she was having issues with any of her seniors. Oddly specific, the last thing Ms.Farah remembered about Ms.Spare was that she was his guidance counselor.

"Actually I do. Danny Nightingale, he is one of your students right? I am worried, the boy has potential but he keeps sleeping through my class." Ms.Spare looked eager almost enjoying the fact she mentioned that. Danny's other teacher must have complained about the boy as well. Ms.Farah felt triumphant that the school was looking into the boy. "Is Danny having issues with his other teachers as well?" Ms.Farah looked back at Ms.Spare only to be met with a stone cold glare.

In this situation Ms.Farah would have corrected herself but she felt like she couldn't breathe. She didn't understand what was happening, she collapsed to her knees trying to gasp for air. It felt as if her throat was on fire. She was crying now, he looked up at Ms.Spare but she didn't look like the councilor she once knew. It was almost as if the woman before her was glowing. The lady crotched down and grabbed her face so that she would look at Ms.Farah directly almost as if she was staring into her soul.

"You know, Amira Farah, when my boss told me to take a position here. I wasn't expecting the boy to come to me. He came to me, of all people. I was his old counselor and I could have sworn he swore off all counselors but he still came to me. Told me that one of his teachers was being unreasonable. Looked at him every class with detest. As much as I love feeding off despair I will not allow you to insult his intelligence. My friends worked hard to get that boy to keep up with his studies. AND YOU, A MERE MORTAL ARE TRYING TO SET HIM BACK? WHY? BECAUSE YOU CAN'T FIND SOMETHING TO WRONG WITH HIM?" The woman let go of Amira's face and grabbed her hair to pull her up. Slamming Amira against the desk, she held her at knife point. "You are a very lucky woman, I was ordered not to kill you. But make no mistake, if I see or even hear you say anything ill about that boy. You will wake up in the afterlife. Do you understand me?" Amira blinked and Ms.Spare was gone. The woman didn't wait for an answer but the threat was very real. One of her first students for her next period finally arrived and asked if she was ok, she had a cut on her neck. It wasn't bleeding but it was very red. Amira Farah whisper to herself a promise. Leaving the child alone.

Chapter Text

He didn't get any sleep. Danny ended up texting Cass and Duke all night and he had pulled an all nighter. He was late for his tour of the school. After a good amount of asking around, he was finally able to get an early tour of the school early. Danny hated being lost on his first day of school so he was lucky they actually offered it. He grabbed the first thing he saw, tossed it on and went to the bathroom. After cleaning it up a bit, he ran downstairs to get breakfast and ran right into Pariah.

"Where are you off to so early?" Danny shoved two waffles in his mouth before quickly signed 'tour and he had to go'. Pariah ruffled his hair real quick before sending him off. Danny smiled at him before sending him a positive purr and ran off. Duke was waiting for him by the manor gate with Dick who promised to drive him to the school. Dick played Smile by Lily Allen on full blast and Danny couldn't help and giggled at him being off key.

Once they arrived at the school they waved him off and told him to text them when he was done. He waved goodbye and watched them pull off, he walked up to the school and went to the main office. He spoke to the office lady, Ms.Blair she pushed him back out through the doorway. Eventually he heard a soft scoff behind him and he turned to see a short girl behind him. She looked disgusted before fixing her expression. She was unimpressed by him, Danny didn't really mind. The secretary cut their awkward introduction off stating that she got the wrong schedule. She left them unattended, the girl tried to drag him for some reason and Danny flinched away. The secretary came back with the correct paperwork and handed it to Danny, sending them off.

The tour was long and lengthy, he took mental notes of where his classrooms were. For a fancy school that it was, the exits weren't easy to spot. Danny signed every once and awhile for where the exit was. Gotham was a dangerous city, it was reasonable to figure out where they were. Skipping forward a bit, it was finally the end of the tour. Alice, as sassy as she was, was a good tour guide. Danny was ready to text Duke when his ghost sense went off. He looked over Alice to see a familiar redhead standing in front of the school.

Danny flew past Alice. Walking up to his old counselor. He signed to her 'Spectra, why are you here?'. "What happened to hi, hello little prince?" Spectra chuckled. Danny growled at her and she straightened up rather quickly, the smile never wiped from her face. "Dear Daddy told me to come here to get a job so boo! Besides it could have been worse, I heard he actually considered asking Walker and Shulker to play security." Danny just sighed, 'Feed off my emotions again and I'll kill you.' Spectra was taken aback for a second before regaining her composure. "Of course my prince." Danny could hear the sarcasm but she knew he wasn't joking. Danny may not kill but there were some moments where he would make exceptions.

Moving on to his first day of school, he had overslept again. He put on his uniform, but didn't waste time and just grabbed the blazer that went with it. He bid his dad good morning and grabbed the egg salad Mary (one of their maids) made for his lunch. He ran outside to find Michael still waiting to drive him to school, signing apologizes to Michael who just handed him a brush and told him to fix his bed head a bit. Once he arrived at the school, the halls were mostly empty with a few stragglers. He ran because his first class was Chemistry which was in a completely different building and happened to be the farthest from the school entrance. When he arrived at class the professor seemed to just start to take attendance. He asked if he was Danny and Danny nodded. When he went to sit he noticed the girl next to him was the sassy tourist, Allison or something. He couldn't remember.

Danny went to poetry after that which completely zapped his energy, passed out in American history before he realized he had study hall and should have slept then. He was glad him and Duke had 3 periods together because he felt like exploding the moment they made it to P.E. The football players were showing everyone up but when the coach pointed out Danny and Duke doing stretches and asked them to be examples Danny could feel the mood shift. One of the players, who almost looked exactly like Dash from his old school was staring him down. Danny had become a target on the first day of school, how great. Danny and Duke got out to head to lunch before the other guys could make it to the locker room so they didn't have to mess with jocks. Danny however spoke too soon, with his luck the jocks ended up having the same lunch period as him.

When the dash lookalike started walking up to him he debated on what to do but he saw Ashley, no that wasn't right, the sassy tour guide waved to her friend to go get a teacher. So Danny did the smart thing and did nothing. He quickly signed to Duke to not do anything even though he looked reluctant to do so. When Dash's lookalike grabbed him, he could see the girl get up and try to help but she stopped. Probably for the best she didn't get in the middle of this tall guy. Eventually he was let go when the teacher finally arrived. The teacher had him get checked out by the nurse before bringing him to the headmaster office.

It felt like forever before both the jocks mother and Pariah arrived. His Dad looked ready to kill the kid but Danny quickly signed to him to forget the kid and come sit. He really just wanted to go home and chill on his dad's office couch while the man did paperwork. Turned out the jock's mother was a Karen which honestly explained her son's behavior. It didn't matter however, Pariah kept effectively and swiftly shutting her down. Almost to the point that even the headmaster was impressed. Once the headmaster called in Alice (he finally got it right, all thanks to the Headmaster saying her name) into the office, she shared the video of what happened in the cafeteria. Danny was more impressed that a regular phone was actually able to take pictures let alone videos of him. Once they were dismissed after a bit more arguing, Danny went to thank Alice for helping and instead of taking it she scolded him for wearing the uniform wrong. He decided he did not like Alice at all. She was still the sassy tour guide.

______________________________________

It's October and Danny was yet again asleep in his 3rd period class. He could never stay awake, it didn't really matter he learned all this stuff before so it wasn't like he was missing anything. It wasn't until his phone went off in the middle of class, the most embarrassing thing to happen to him right now. The girl next to him, Katherine Perez tapped him before passing a note to him. Apparently she was a big fan of horror movies and recognized his ringtone. Speaking of ringtones, he wondered why in the world would his dad call him in the middle of class. He must have confused this to be his free period again. He shot his dad a quick text before going back to sleep.

He moved on to the study hall with Duke and 0 text messages from his dad. Duke was struggling with his chemistry homework and Danny was wondering how long until he would just ask Danny for his notes. Eventually Danny had the feeling he was being watched by something or someone dangerous. He slid his notes to Duke just as his ghost sense went off. He excused himself and went off to find where the ghost was. He went on a wild goose chase since apparently there were a lot of ghosts in the school. He wasn't sure which one he was looking for, not until he came across a little girl. She ran once they made eye contact and sent Danny further down a spiral of running into walls and pillars he wasn't paying attention too. By the end of it, Danny ended up outside next to an old tree that she was apparently attracted to. The little girl just wanted to play one more time before moving on to the afterlife and Danny was just glad she could move on. October was the month when the vile was thin and Spirits could move on the easiest during so Danny was taking his chances.

He looked over to the school entrance and noticed people were starting to come out, school was over and he missed the other half of the school day. He didn't want to hear the lecture from Spectra or even Dorathea since she would scold him hard for skipping classes. He noticed his classmate Katherine and a guy who looked similar, must have been her twin brother, looking directly at him. Danny didn't realize he looked worse than before so he went invisible just to go find his backpack. After that Danny went on to have the worst week ever, first a ghost gave him a hallucination trip while in the bathroom, then while in the middle of his nap some random spirit gave him a puzzle to do or else they were going to overshadow his professor. The final straw that broke the camel's back was said spirit overshadowing a different Teacher he didn't even have. Duke had him and recognized it, he called Danny and together had to perform an emergency exorcism. It was really awkward when two of the teachers actual students walked into them being in the middle of that. Duke was panicking after that but Danny signed to him that the possessed won't remember what happened and they won't actually get in trouble for it.

Moving to a few days before Halloween, Danny was exhausted. Week after week of doing odd jobs for Duke offered Danny a trip out. An old Gotham favorite was playing in the theaters so Danny took that offer, they bumped into the Perez twins and Danny just didn't want to have the awkward conversation of running across them every time Danny was doing some ghost shenanigans. The movie was boring at best, Danny passed out and woke up to Duke shaking him. They went to get food after and honestly Danny liked the Perez twins, they seemed to not care about the spooky stuff at all. Not even bring it up.

______________________________________

It's election week and Danny was kicked out of the house. Him and Pariah paid a visit to Frostbite on Saturday, Danny needed to go out more, he may be healthy to a sense especially after his growth spurt but he needed to exercise. His body, the human half, would be deeply affected by his strength since it wasn't shaped for it at all. So Danny with the help of Barbara and Tim got odd jobs across Gotham to get around for the week they had off. It started on Sunday, Tim got him a temporary spot to cover a shift at a coffee shop. Danny didn't think the owner would approve but since he didn't need the money the cafe manager instantly said yes.

At first it was easy for him to just make the orders but he somehow ended up manning the register, even he was shocked by this. He could take the orders but some customers got a bit snippy with him when he didn't respond with the usual chipper greeting. Danny wanted to cry. Eventually Danny recognized one of the customers, his name was Andrew? No that wasn't right, he couldn't remember the guy's name but he did know him. He was one of the guys that would aggressively play basketball during p.e. free time. As much as Danny hated getting hit with the ball, Danny wasn't even sure this guy knew him. Well that wasn't until it finally came time for said guy to order, he must have recognized Danny because he stood there staring. Was there something on his face, Danny waved a bit at him before he eventually snapped out of it. Eric was his name apparently.

Danny's shift ended with him wanting to die in a ditch and even interact with humans again. His last customer before he was cut was a Karen with 5 kids. Danny was tired and laying in Duke backseats from the car he got as a gift. Duke drove him to the next gig and Danny just flipped him off when Duke joked about the dogs piling on top of him. His next job was Dog walking, The first job was standing on his legs for 5 hours and now he had to walk about 10 dogs of various sizes for a couple more hours. Yeah Barbara and Tim were going to be the 2nd death of him. Their dogs were a wild bunch but tame compared to cujo. A few tried straying from the pack but Danny could keep them together. That was until one of the dogs saw a butterfly and wanted to chase after it, Danny didn't pay much attention to where was going and tripped on a rock while trying to regain control of the dog. He fell flat on his face. He looked back up at the dogs surrounding him and he couldn't decide if he wanted to just get up or submit to his fate and stay on the pavement. After debating himself for a while he finally got up and brushed himself off. The dogs kept barking at him but he couldn't figure out what they wanted. He spent the next hour trying to figure out the plea, they were hungry.

After dropping the dogs back off, Duke took Danny to see Barbara and he gave her a lengthy complaint. One look from her though and he was apologizing to her, she reminded him too much of Jazz it was terrifying. In turn since he was so bitter about his two jobs, Barbara gave him a different job to have first thing in the morning, one that Danny was a little too kine in having. The next Danny was up bright and early. Got ready before going to his next odd job on giving away balloons. It sounded boring at first but he was allowed to make one change. He would give a balloon away if someone told him was able to tell him a fact about space. For the city that had smog covering the stars, a lot of children and even adults came to him for a balloon. Some of the adults felt shy in telling him but a few of them told him that they felt like a kid again so Danny was more than happy to give them a balloon. He saw the Eric guy again, he was staring at the sign and Danny tried waving him over but he just walked away.

The next job was helping at a pizzeria, Danny had about 0 confidence in himself. He was way too worried about dropping the pizza with his luck. The owner had him put them in and take them out, why was pre cooked stuff heavier than post cooked stuff, Danny didn't get it. Danny heard the guests, a lot of them by the sound of them. They ordered 3 pizzas and Danny felt like melting. The kitchen was way too hot for him, even being this close to the oven he could see why even in winter chefs go short sleeve in the kitchen. When he heard the customers leaving he went to see who they were since he had the chance. It was the Eric guy again, he could never escape him. At this point Danny thought the guy was stalking him and they both had a staring contest before Eric walked out with his friends.

Danny was finally free from the kitchen and he was a bit hungry. Getting a snack was fine for him, that was until he ran into Dick and Damian. Apparently Dick had an emergency to attend to and was going to drop Damian off at the manor but since Danny was here he could do it. Danny deadpanned to Dick almost protesting but Dick was already gone. He looked down at Damian who snipped and said he didn't need a baby sitter. Danny signed to him, offering to get him a snack too. Damian looked puzzled and Danny explained that he wasn't going straight home, which was what he was trying to explain to Dick but he didn't wait for an answer. Damian took the offer for the snack and they made their way to the corner store.

After a few minutes of debating what to get, mostly Damian ranting about the lack of vegetarian options, they got what they wanted and went to pay. Danny noticed the guy in front of them was again Eric. This guy was everywhere, like a weird guess-where puzzle, once you spot them you will see them everywhere. They finally paid and left, not even 5 feet from the store and they got nabbed. Lucky him, the drug they used to knock Damian and Eric out just made Danny extremely high. He was extremely loopy now and wasn't sure what was happening.

Danny was trying to figure out what was happening but he was not functional at all. Everyone started looking like stick figures to him, which he found a bit funny. He didn't know why but Damian or who he assumed was Damian next to him looked like a little baby ghost to him. He was trying hard not to just cuddle the baby ghost. A green figure came into his line of sight and something in him just didn't like the green figure at all. He definitely didn't like the green figure having his hands on his baby ghost so he did what an older ghost did best. Fight the foreigner creature that dare lay its claws on the baby ghost. He was having the time of his afterlife beating up the green bastard until he was picked up, he growled a bit before the person who picked him up growled back. It was his dad, well if his dad was here the baby ghost was fine. He went limp and let his dad take care of the rest. The next morning he woke up to a hangover and reporters swarming the front gates of his house.

______________________________________

Duke was sick, Duke texted him and told him that he came down with the flu and Danny was sad. He hated school without Duke. Especially since he was mostly there so he could steal supplies from him. Now Danny had to be responsible and ask politely to people for pencils and notes. There was one other guy he knew that had similar classes and actually took motes in his Poetry class so he went to ask him. The guy, in question looked confused, almost as if he didn't understand Danny's original question. Danny was also confused because he never mentioned anything about a Gala. He took a quick glance at the question that he wrote nothing along the lines of what this guy just asked him. He dressed back to the question that he wrote a piece of paper and the guy gave him his notes. Honestly if he didn't want to give him his notes, he could have just said no.

After yet again not paying attention in his American history class, he quickly copied down all the notes so he could just give it back to the guy. When he finally tracked the guy down, handed back the notebook he looked disappointed and Danny was very confused by his expression. Was he not expecting Danny to give his notebook back? Danny just decided to go on with his day, but then he forgot that he also had study hall and didn't have a pencil. The last pencil he borrowed from Katherine who sat next to him and instantly felt bad so he gave it back. He went to ask the guy again and that guy seemed rather upset, when Danny gave it back the guy told him to sit down and that they were going to have a conversation. Was he about to get scolded for borrowing stuff, he definitely didn't remember that real being in the student handbook so he shouldn't be getting in trouble for this.

Instead the guy ended up asking him if he had an agenda. That confused Danny to no end, why would he have an agenda if he's just asking to burrow stuff? After telling the guy that he didn't have any agenda and he had no clue what he was talking about, the guy scoffed at him. Apparently he assumed that Danny wanted to go with him to a party that Duke's family was holding at the end of the year. He was already invited to that so he didn't really need another invitation unless he was asking him out on the date. Danny looked him over and didn't really think he was asking him on a date. Danny immediately dismissed himself giving the pencil back and just ran off because he didn't want to deal with this guy anymore.

Danny completely forgot about that interaction just labeling that guy is the one he will never speak to again. Eventually Steph and Barbara dragged Danny out for a day they called Friends of the family, or as Stephanie would put it, the mafia ties. Barbara immediately vetoed that name, and Danny couldn't help but agree. The trio went shopping for holiday dresses, Danny would be attending the last two days of festivities. The night before new year's eves with his dad and the day of, with Duke and his family. Duke of extended invitation for him to do Christmas with them but Danny after fighting Santa once didn't really want to do that at all so he declined. He told them over their group chat jokingly that he fought Santa and Tim said mood. He had a feeling that Tim wasn't joking either.

After going through a few stores finally finding a dress for Barbara that could actually fit her disability since she was in a chair, they finally went up to pay for the dresses that they found at this one tailor. The staff actually worked for Wayne industries so they were already prepared to deal with them. What was odd was one of the staff managers actually came up to them saying that some random guy made a complaint about them and that they were actually going to blacklist him and his family from the store and to not worry about him at all. Danny didn't remember seeing anyone in the store so they just shrugged it off.

The first party was very eventful, so many people kept asking if Danny and Pariah were related to the Wayne's at all. Danny couldn't help but sneer every single time somebody said that Bruce could have been Pariah's son. Danny signed to Pariah to not laugh because he definitely noticed every single time somebody said that Danny could have been one of the Wayne kids, Pariah would get very protective. The night continues with them teasing each other every once in awhile and just stay close together cuz if they parted somebody would ask them a very offensive question and they weren't sure they were going to handle it well without the other. New Year's Eve came and Danny attended the gala in one piece, he couldn't help but over here every single person making comments about Bruce having a new Ward or a new biological son that he didn't know about. Danny felt ready and able to stab someone. Duke pulled him aside and told him not to worry about it, they spent The first beginning of the evening together until a couple walked up to them. Danny kind of recognized the guy but he wasn't sure where he remembered him from. Sabrina Lee who was friends with his sassy tour guide, reintroduced herself and the guy next to her to be a guy named Arthur. Danny never met Arthur so he just introduced himself as normal, Duke being his interpreter.

______________________________________

Danny was having a shit time. It was nothing personal but he kept falling asleep during third period and he couldn't stop that. It's already halfway through the year and it kind of just became part of his routine now. It wasn't like he was failing the class and the teacher always gave him a good grade so him sleeping wasn't deducting his grade, but he could definitely feel that his teacher was slightly seething. This teacher definitely had it out to get him because she assigned a group project for some reason, at the beginning of the year she said she didn't do group projects but now she is.

Lucky for Danny he actually knew two of the people that were in his group so they helped him out in staying awake during the times they had to actually do work during her period. But most of the work that Danny did was after her class, when Duke would give him candies to stay awake. He spent the week mostly doing his part during the study hall that he had after her class but every single time during her class. She would come to their group and it felt like she was outing him every single time. Or trying to get the others to help him for whatever reason. This teacher was starting to get on his nerves, so Danny did the one thing that he thought was reasonable. As much as he hated the idea, he decided to go to his guidance counselor. Who by pure 'luck' just so happened to be a certain redhead that he disliked.

"Oh to what do I owe this honor?" Spectra was being as sarcastic as ever. Danny told her about his teacher and she actually took it quite well, giving genuine advice but also told him to wait off of it and wait until his project was done if she still acted that way after all his hard work then she would go and talk to her. Danny was skeptical at first cuz he really didn't want to deal with her for the rest of his time of working on the project but Spectra was kind of right. You can't argue with results and if he gave the results needed and she couldn't really argue with him anymore then there were not really any issues that she really had.

The day of the presentation came and Danny's group performed well she didn't even give them any criticism well no negative criticism. By the end of it he saw that his teacher grabbed Sabrina and asked her something and Sabrina looked offended. When Sabrina came to Danny she said that Ms Farah asked if Danny was threatening them and stealing their work. Danny had enough and saw that Spectra was actually standing outside the classroom. When he walked out he just shook his head to her and she nodded and told him to go to his next class. Whatever Spectra did to his teacher or told his teacher, his teacher never bothered him again. No random group projects, no staring at him not even a snark. Danny was kind of worried but in the end he wasn't being bothered anymore so if he really didn't care.

Honestly the rest of his year was going to go like this Danny was going to be falling asleep constantly and that lady's class. He was just extremely tired from poetry especially with how much energy and the always being at a max 11 in the class before. As long as his teacher really didn't have any issue or didn't really care anymore Danny decided to just go about his day.

Notes:

Here is your short story, im tempted to write the chatfic anyway.
