Astro was putting on his blanket, Dandy snuck up behind him and hugged him. “Hi astro!!’ Dandy smiled as he looked up at the moon before burying his face in his back. “Hello, dear.” Astro smiled as he turned and hugged Dandy.
“Is everything okay love?” Astros face turned to confusion and concern as he looked down at the now flustered and clearly nervous flower. “Yes! Everythings great!” Astro kissed his forehead. “Are you sure? You seem skittish..” Dandy looked away, tugging at the collar of his sleep shirt. “Uh… Do you know what day it is?” Astro looked around. He hadn’t been keeping track of the days lately, all the excitement from the new toons had gotten him off his daily schedule, including checking days off the calender, which dandy had apparently been taking care of?
“What day is it, Dandy.” Dandy smiled up at him, mischief and love as well as anxiety present in his facial expression. “Never-mind! You’ll see.” He smiled before rolling out of bed, circling it before kissing astros head. “You go back to sleep.” Astro hums before snuggling back into the mass of blankets covering him. It made him feel safer since he didn’t wear his normal blanket when he went to sleep.
He couldn’t fall back asleep, which was shocking. But he couldn’t when he KNEW what Dandy was like and he KNEW that he was planning something for TODAY?? Of all days? He didn’t even know what day it was! He checked his calender and… Dandy wasn’t marking the days? Huh. he’d just have to ask around.
He begrudgingly got out of bed. He put on his usual blanket and walked out. He moved down the hallway, still tired. He saw Dandy’s handler Devan writing on a clipboard. He reached one of his arms out and tugged on his shirt. “Mr.Russo? What day is it?” Devan turned to the small blue toon and knealed down. “Well it's the- Oh… You don’t know?” Astro tilted his head. what were they planning.. Devan had a shit-eating grin on his face as he stood back fully up. “You’ll see.”
Astro got to the elevator after flipping Devan off under his blanket, he got to do stuff like that alot since no one saw. He got in and pressed the button for the kitchen. He was getting breakfast. However when the elevator reached its destination he saw his handler there, waiting.
“You cant be here right now, sorry little man.” He shoved some food to astro. Astro instinctively took it as he was forced back into the elevator. “Hey wait-” Austin closed it, Astro was sent back up to his room.

Astro very angrily and aggressively ate his pancakes as Pebble ran around. He looked at the note accompanying the pancakes again. ”kitchens occupied!!! Sorry darling.. :( - Dandy
Astro put his pancakes on the ground and sighed. “Why won’t ANYONE tell me the date!? Seriously..” He leaned back. He turned his head and watched Pebble running around. Being careful not to hit the computers- THE COMPUTERS! He immediately stood up, being careful not to trip over his blanket. He walked over and stood in front of the looming computer. He was REALLY short… He hopped up and got on the chair after a bit of effort. He pulled himself closer to the desk using his arms, almost falling off in the process.
He looked at the boxy screen for a minute. He investigated the computer for a minute before finding a button. He pressed it and the screen lit up. It loaded for a minute before he was asked to enter an employee password. He thought for a moment, not able to come up with ANYTHING he looked around the desk. He saw a sticky note in the desk drawer. password is 3272002 huh. Odd password.
He entered it in and it didn’t work? Well, it was obvious. Maybe they changed it a bit ago. Whatever. He hopped down from the chair and sighed before sitting back down and finishing his pancakes.

The whole day had been boring since Dandy was nowhere to be seen. He resigned himself to his bedroom. Until suddenly dandy burst in. “ASTRO!!! ASTROASTROASTROOOOO!!!” He ran up to him and tackle hugged him. Astro, after getting over the shock of it hugged back. “Where have you been..?” Dandy peppered his face in kisses, speaking in between them. “Well! I’ve been making you something! I know its been stressful lately with everything so..!!” He pulled away. “I need you to follow me!” He reached out his hand, which astro took. They walked to the elevator and went down to the kitchen.
Astro gasped as he saw some food prepared, not well but it was certainly cooked. Some flowers on a table, a record player set up, and two chairs. “Sit, sit!” Dandy ushered him to the right chair and sat him down. Dandy poured some water in two glasses and sat down. Astro ate some of the food. It was mashed potatoes and what looked like some sort of meat(?). It was predictably dry and overseasoned in some parts and underseasoned in others. But it was still sweet dandy put so much effort into making this, speaking of that…. “Dandy.” Dandy looked up from the plate. “Yeah, Ast?” Astro looked around. “Soo… whats this all for?” Dandy smiled. “Well, its our anniversary love!” oh. OH. Astro forgot his own anniversary! “I- I didn’t prepare anything. I’m so sorry dandy…” Dandy reaches across the table. “Dear! Don’t worry! I know you’ve been stressed lately…” He stands up and walks to astro before kissing his cheek, taking his hand. “Now, may we dance?” he giggled. Astro nodded happily(he wanted to get away from that food.)
Dandy put a record on and him and astro started dancing, of course they stepped on eachothers feet sometimes, but eventually they got used to it. At the end of the 3rd song dandy grabbed astros face and kissed him.
“I love you astro!” He said while giggling and smiling like an idiot. Astro also smiled. “I love you more.”
