“ Snake. “ otacon called from his desk to snake's.
Snake turned around and faced him, a look of confusion sat on his face. “ Yes, otacon? “ he questioned his boyfriend.
“ Snake, I think we should retire. “ Otacon added. Pushing up his glasses to avoid eye contact.
“ Maybe, when we get married we will. “ Snake joked and walked away. By snake saying this, sparked something in otacon that will make him want to make those words come true.
Months go by and by and there is the perfect time for otacon to get a chance for change.

One chilly autumn afternoon, Snake sat on the rotting bench under the canopy. He smoked his cigarette which was almost burnt out. Only a little stub will be left in a few more minutes if he keeps taking his drags. He watched the trainers and runners on the blacktop nearby. His deep brown hair tickled his neck and the gusting winds made him squint his eyes just for a little while.
While this was happening a slim figure came into his peripheral vision. his glasses shined in the mist with the gray skies overhead and made him almost look like a ghost. as the figure put their hand on snake’s shoulder he started to speak.
“ Hello snake, I guessed that you would’ve been out here. “ otacon snorted. Snake looked covering his hand above his eyes for protection from the bright misty sunlight above, which this made otacon chuckle and laugh, smiling softly after.
“ Hello otacon. What are you doing out here? “ Snake asked. his monotone deep voice cutting through the chilly air.
That question made otacon’s face straighten and his cheeks go red. He looked down at the floor.
“ So what is it otacon? “ Snake began. grinning and getting up from his seat to get an easier look at his partner.
“ Snake do you know about that one time, months ago you said that you would let us retire when we got married? “ otacon confessed.
Snake was taken back for the outburst and his jaw dropped for a moment but how to shut it to reply to his boyfriend. “ Well yes I kinda do why, why do you ask? “ Snake murmured.
“ Come and follow me. “ otacon advised. Pulling snake’s wrist through the base until they make it to otacon’s room.
Otacon slammed the door once they got in and started to run his fingers down all through snake’s shirt. making snake gasp just a little bit and his eyes wobble up to look at his boyfriend. “ what are we doing here otacon? Why are we in your room? “ snaked mumbled blushing profusely.
“ Well I want to make you feel good before I tell you the good news, Dave. “ Otacon whispered into his ear. Making David gasp from the sudden change of his name.
Hal moved their faces closer together until they were both breathing in their faces. David was the first one to move in closer making them kiss. David immediately grabbing for his cheeks and Hal grabbing for his waist, they start to stumble around the room until David fell back first on top of Hal’s bed. continuing the makeout session until they both can’t take it anymore.

Hal rolled on top of David. His sweaty naked body sticking to his. Before David could say anything. His partner took words from his mouth. Hal started kissing him again and David started to put his arms around Hal.
Hal finally separated their kiss and gave the chance for David to talk. “ What is the news that you wanted to tell me? “ David asked looking into hazey blue eyes, his glasses have already fallen off during their love making session.
“ Oh yeah, I almost forgot. “ Hal noted, as he crawled out of bed and looked through his pants pockets. “ Ok! I got it! “ Hal cheered. it was a little velvet black box, it could only be one thing.
“ Is that what I think it is? “ David asked, looking at the velvet box firmly.
“ Yes it is. “ Hal said firmly and grinning so hard that his crooked teeth showed.
David basically jumped out of bed and tackled Hal to the floor with kisses. He can't believe that something like this is finally happening. He has never gotten the chance to do it and Hal just beat him to it. He is very happy and excited though for his future husband to hold him in his arms.
“ Hal i love you so much, show me the ring now! “ David said excitedly, showing his toothy smile.
Hal got up to sit and opened the box slowly in David’s face. The ring was a deep black with a little diamond in the middle. It looked a bit too fancy for Dave in this line of work but in a few weeks that won’t matter.
“ So?? How do you like it? “ Hal questioned, grinning slightly.
David stared at him for a second before grinning. “ Like it? Hal, I love it! “ David beamed as he wrapped his arms around Hal’s neck.
Their excitement was too much to bear. They can’t wait to be together as a new married family.
The retirement was a long process for the both of them, especially David. After their marriage it was a cozy wedding on a beach and the honeymoon was even better, eating coconut and drinking tons of whiskey on the side.
Soon after, all of the other stuff happened. They both started to pack up in this little cabin in Alaska. Away from lots of people but not too many still in a short reach for food.
Hal was packing up the last of boxes in their new cabin when he got the best idea. David was in the other room organizing plates in the kitchen.
After he finished putting the box away and taking the stuff out of the box for organizing later he ran into the kitchen.
It was a big kitchen that had a black and beige marble island. The walls were white, with black floors too and the counters were deep dark brown and so were the cabinets.
David stands in the corner, packing in all the silverware.
“ Hey Dave. “ Hal calls for his husband.
“ Yes Hal? “ David responds then turns around and looks at Hal for an answer.
“ I think, maybe because you know, we are married and all and also have this big house we should try and have a kid. “ Hal explains to Dave smirking and grinning like a fool, red blush appearing all over his face.
Sending dave into a confusing fit. He looks at Hal a few times and looks to the window on his side as if someone is there for support. “ How will we have kids Hal? “ David asked, very confused and concerned.
“ Adoption, of course. “ Making Hal chuckle from David's foolish ideas. He grinned and start to talk with him more, leading him to the living room to look up at places to find.
It was a long process starting with many different things.
First it started with baby formula; food and all the things that a growing baby needs, like nappies, blankets and toys. it came to the room after getting all the needs that the baby would need to get, they painted the room pink because they wanted and by they it means Hal wanted to have a baby girl. After all, it's him that was going to the adoption center.
Driving to the place where a soon cute little baby will have her forever home.
Once they make it in the building a sense of warmth and comfort wash over both of them.
the smell of freshly washed laundry and lavender was a smell that was all over.
They went to the front counter to ask about who is up for adoption. a tall, very short haired boy with light blonde hair stood behind the counter. his name tag said; Jack, on it.
“ Hello, how may I help you both? “ Jack asked. He grinned and looked at them both.
“ Well we are here to adopt a lovely little baby girl. “ Hal explained.
“ Follow me. “ Jack called out then unlocked the door behind the counter and led them to their next destination.
He opened the door to the baby girl’s room. “ Feel free to look around as long as you like, every baby wants a home. “ Jack mentioned and stepped back to side close to the door waiting and he started to go on his phone.
The wed couple split onto their own ways and looked from room to room each one had a caretaker taking care of the babies.
One room Hal stumbled into didn’t have anyone in it.
curious enough Hal went into the room that had a name plate on the door that said Sunny.
“ Hello there, Sunny. Are you here? “ Hal gushed and like magic a high pitched laugh came from the cradle.
Hal looks into the cradle to find a pink rosy baby wrapped into blue blankets. a few small silver hairs, she also had a button nose and one sharp little tooth at her k9 area, her eyes are brownish green. She smiled and giggled at him.
Hal almost sobbed at how cute she was, she was going to be his daughter he thought.
As he carefully carried out Sunny he started to call out for David. He came to see what had happened of course.
He smiled at Sunny and looked up at Hal. They shared a happy moment then started to walk over to Jack for help.
Just like that Sunny was where she belonged, in the car in her car seat she smiled and giggled all the way home. They all did it honestly.
Sunny was a part of the family soon after her adoption. She became an Emmerich just like everyone else.
After everything has settled down and it’s been months since everything was switched and changed.
Hal and David missed their little fun and sunny being fast asleep in the other room helped this.
“ I want you so badly Hal, you don’t even know “ Dave admitted, rubbing his hands all over Hal’s shoulder and body. The lust in his eyes didn’t lie and Hal would sure be lying if he said he didn’t want him even more.
The heat in the room feels like it would turn into straight stream. As soon as Hal starts to take off Dave’s belt is when the baby monitor in their room starts to go off.
A high pitched scream and cry settles deep into their bones and cause Hal to jump up running to Sunny’s room. He flicks the light on begans to comfort her as he is starting to move closer to the cradle. shush and other soft words fall down to Sunny’s ears.
All Sunny wanted was some food and Hal is more than helping his sweet baby daughter.
David comes rushing in and begins to ask what’s the problem. “ Hal, why is sunny crying? “ He fretted.
“ Oh it’s nothing honey, Sunny here just wanted to have something to eat. “ He explained and trailed off speaking to her in a baby voice as he walked down the hallway and went down the spiral staircase.
Hal headed to the kitchen making a baby formula mixed, then mixing milk and water with it before he popped it into the microwave and heated it up for sunny’s consumption.
Sunny starts to giggle at the roaring sound of the microwave. Once it’s done Hal is glad to give it to sunny.
She takes the bottle by her tiny, pink, baby hands and the help from Hal’s hand holding it up for her.
Dave walks down the stairs. A questioning look on his face, his brown hair behind his ears and he starts to bite his lip as he gets closer to his husband and daughter.
Like magic Sunny starts to fall asleep in Hal’s arms, the sight was very cute.
Sunny’s baby hairs show for all the hair oils and hair treatments they use for her making her hair grow just a little more than what it used to be. She had a yellow onesie that had little smiling suns on it.
Hal’s face looked tired but still happy. His glasses started to fall off his face, his silver hair starting to show back to a dark brown looking almost like a deep black from his root, And a small smile sitting on his lips as he slowly took the bottle away from Sunny.
“ Hal, are you going to take Sunny back to her room? “ David asked.
“ Yeah might as well. “ Hal agreed. He placed the bottle half way with milk in the fridge and started to walk down the kitchen towards the stairs, Dave slowly following after them.
Once they finally made it to Sunny’s room and laid her down in her purple and yellow themed cradle is when they both finally relaxed.
Once they shut Sunny’s door Dave started to hold on to Hal’s waist and give me chicken peck-like kisses to Hal. They both stumbled into their room and locked the door.
The next day David was at work and Hal was bored out of his mind, so he had the best idea to look through the closet of their room.
Hal stumbled around through all of their stuff until he found gold.
It was David’s solid snake sneak suit from when he used to wear it on his missions. Hal took it out of the closet immediately and placed it on the bed. It was worn down from all the use, old missions and also from it sitting in the closet collecting dust.
Sunny squeals and flaps her arms around in her movable baby sitting in their room. She had a onesie like she always does but this one was deep blue and it had little pink baby pigs on it. Her hair was put up into two little pigtails with two pink baby hair ties.
Hal walks over to Sunny and scoops her up into his arms rocking her back and forth slowly until she calms down. When she finally settles he walks to her room and places her into her cradle. Hal walks back to his room and he sits on the bed grabbing his phone out of his jeans back pocket.
He dialed Dave’s number and started to wait for him to answer. He picks up after a few rings and Hal is the first one to speak up.
“ Hello Dave, when you come home today I have a surprise for you. “ Hal smirked.
“ Oh you know I can't wait until then. “ David grinning over the phone.
Sunny started to squeal again and Hal hung up the phone and went to go help her.
Once Dave got home he was all over Hal. When he first came through their white front door he gave him a big hug and kissed him on the cheek, which both almost made his glasses lean slightly and fall to the floor.
“ What is the thing that you will surprise me with? “ David asked him while looking around.
“ Okay i will show you but you need Sunny for this too. “ Hal smiled then grabbed his glasses off the floor and pushed them up from the bottom of his nose.
Dave’s smirking face turned into a disappearing smile which faded into confusion and sadness. “ Hal? Why do we need Sunny? “
“ It’s a surprise silly, now just bring her into our room and cmon. “ Hal explained and then ran up the stairs.
As David was told he went up the stairs and down the hall by his and Hal’s room to get Sunny. He carried and spoke to her in a funny voice to wake her up.
He turned the door knob with his other hand, and Hal turned around and stood facing Dave with his old sneak suit.
David looked even more confused and looked at Sunny for a second and then the suit once again.
“ So what are we doing Hal? “ David wondered.
“ Okay, Okay, let me hold Sunny real quick. “ Hal suggested and grabbed Sunny and passed the suit to David. “ Go put it on, I'll be waiting outside here with you. me and Sunny. “ Hal explained.
David grabbed the suit and carried it with him while he walked into his and Hal’s bathroom.
He changed and it was tight around the butt and shoulders but it was still moveable. As soon as he got out of the bathroom he was also handed his old bandanna from Hal.
Hal grinned at him slightly and he nodded and got the memo and put it around his forehead like the old times.
Hal smiled and kissed his cheek then he went in the closet to get something else. He pulled out a baby holder and ran to David and put it around his chest, he put baby Sunny into the holder.
He grabbed his phone and set it on a five second timer. Hal ran to Dave and Sunny. He looped his arm into Dave's and started to tickle sunny. He smiled and the photo was made.
