Summary
While the world passed by, Aveline Clair did not. Born a mutant during the Second World War, she meets and falls in love with the rogueish Commando James Barnes, only to watch him die. Now, seventy years later, she meets a man begging her to heal him as he wears the face of her old lover. But he isn't the James Barnes he used to be. She knows he's not. But she could never turn away those eyes.
Bucky's cracked mind can remember just a few things from the war. But she was the one thing he couldn't wrap his head around. He was battling who he was versus who he became, knowing he shouldn't be involved with the woman who used to love Sergeant Barnes. But he can't help but want nothing more than her touch and her aid. He wanted her healing hands to stitch back the broken pieces of his mind and heart.
