TYPE: LOWER MEMBER
REAL NAME: EBONO JERRY JAMES
‘Member’ is a collective term used to refer to anyone that is part of the Gore Party, a wet-work company that conducts daily massacres in the fabricated fairytale-esque land of Dolor to harvest blood from its residents and send it back to Dis for use in powering the city.
The rank of a Member is based on their personality and general strength and knowledge. Regardless of rank, every Member gains a cloning chamber so that they’ll be readily able to come back should ‘accidents’ happen during work. However, Members of lower ranking tend to be cloned faster in comparison to those of higher ranking.
Adding to the cloning procedure of Members are the augmentations they receive. Generally, the less augmented a Member is, the quicker they can be cloned due to how fast a chamber can recreate a unmodified body. A more cheaper way, however, is to bioengineer the body to enhance its strength while also staying mostly non-augmented. This choice has left many Members with bizarre forms.
The Ant is among the lowest Members of the Gore Party, yet this doesn’t detract from his enthusiasm, nor his efficiency. His only augments to note are a pair of steel gauntlets with retractable claws, both of which can be taken off, so other than that he just has himself.
Ant’s primary way of attacking is to simply run at the closest target and gut or scratch them to death, normally in groups. He doesn’t seem to care if his target is way out of his league as a Lower Member, nor does he care about how fragile he is compared to the stronger Members. This causes others to frequently bully and outright kill Ant on purpose, but he doesn’t pay it much mind. He’s doing his job for fun, and for stress relief.
As a final note, Ant is also considered a ‘pure’ Member due to not having any augmentations that enter any part of his body, nor does he have any modified body parts. This alone makes him the fastest to clone, and a bit memorable in some ways.
• Ants can die to virtually anything, but since they come in groups, AOE attacks and explosions can rend them apart the best.
• Ants have zero sense of self-preservation, and that alone can make them a handful to deal with if you’re currently too exhausted to attack, or are too occupied with other enemies.
