She lept from that ship
No one believed her, nor IN her
The very next being to speak with her
was HIM.
He rescued her from the sea
He rescued her from drowning
He rescued her from mansplaining
HE was what she most feared.
So he gave her a means of mastering him
So that he could master her
She asked him to bind himself to her
So he did.
In Tirharad she bound himself to her
and in so doing bound them forever
Forced to be in each other's proximity

But never together
A constant knocking
That is never answered
