Work Text:

"Miss Aura Blackquill, you have a visitor! Please proceed with me to the detention center room!"

Who is it now? Simon's come again? He sure visites me often. Like I visited him, almost every single day, trying to change his mind, admit that he didn't do it... It was all for naught. Now I'm sitting behind the bars,  for crimes I really did commit and pretty much deserved my punishment. It all came back like a boomerang.

I slowly proceeded to the so familiar visiting room when guard closed the door and stood in the corner. I took a sit, fully expecting for it to be Simon. However, it wasn't him.

"Y-you!" I gasped from shock, seeing who my visitor this time was. On the other side was sitting a girl in blue magician costume, bouncing a little bit and smiling with her teeth shown as she was excited to this meeting. It creeped me out.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to hide the fact that I was completely not ready to talk to her. Especially after what I've done. On that fateful day, when I decided to take Cosmos Space Center visitors hostage, one of them was... her. Moreover, in that retrial, I accused Princess and fully believed in her guilt which that magician girl didn't like.

"I really wanna talk to you, Miss Blackquill!" she continued to give me a big smile, fully knowing I wanted to harm her and those close to her. Does this girl know no fear?

"About what?" I replied with a bit of frustration. I really don't want to have conversation with this girl, not now, not ever. She probably hates me anyway. Just uses that smile of hers to hide her true feelings.  "About the most recent trial, of course! The one where you took me hostage." Trucy paused and her expression changed to more serious one.

"You hate me, right?" I sighed. "You just came to me to say this, didn't you?" Trucy shook her head. "Wrong! While it is the most logical conclusion, I don't hate you at all." "What?" I uttered those words completely shocked. She doesn't hate me? It doesn't make sense at all! Is this Stockholm Syndrome or something? I was tempted to ask why that magician girl by the name of Trucy Wright doesn't hate the person who threatened her life.

"In fact, I forgive you! And in the Wright Anything Agency, almost everyone did!" Trucy smiled a little bit.

"Why?" It's all I could mutter in response.

"I understand why you did this, Ms. Blackquill. If you didn't do anything, Simon might have been already dead, right?" Trucy said this with full seriousness. She really does realize gravity of the situation.

"Simon... I'm glad nothing happened to him but it doesn't cancel out traumatic experience that I brought to you. Normally, you would hate me for the rest of your life!"  I averted my gaze after saying that. I can't look into her eyes.

"Yeah, normally. If my life was normal and didn't have a bunch of traumatic experiences already. It's just life, it can be cruel. I got used to just smile no matter what". Trucy crossed her arms.

"It doesn't excuse anything, y'know. Even the serial killers could have some sort of trauma too"

"Ms. Blackquill. Stop looking at the past. After all, you did not only save your brother, but also Athena as well! Without you, we'd probably never learn the truth behind UR-1..." Trucy frowned.

"I'm glad Mr. Wright turned out to be a capable lawyer and uncovered everything. Now Metis's death is avenged. And Clay's death too, I guess..."  I smirked, Trucy's comment made me feel a little better.

"However, promise to not commit the same stuff again. And don't hurt Athena, pretty please!" Trucy made puppy eyes as she was some 5-year-old kid trying to convince her mom to buy candy.

"Haha, I promise! There's no reason to hate Princess anymore, right? Besides, little brother was mad at me for accusing her anyway..." I laughed.

"See? The life becomes better when you just forgive yourself!"

"I guess it does..."  I simply smiled and turned my gaze to the small window in the visitor's room. Maybe there's hope for me after all?

"Looks like our meeting went perfectly! I'll have to say goodbye to you, I have magic trick to learn before my new show!" Trucy stood up from her chair and waved to me.

"Goodbye, Trucy Wright. It was a nice talk" I also weakly waved to her in response.

But as Trucy was starting to leave, I decided to ask her for a request.

"Wait a second, magician girl. Can you ask Princess to pay me a visit next time? There's something we need to talk through!" I exclaimed.

Trucy turned her head around and smiled.

"Of course! I'll make sure to pass your request to Athena!"

Trucy left the detention center and I returned to my prison cell. It felt like a huge stone was dropped from my neck. I'll hope that Athena will be ready to talk.

Notes:

I wrote this literally cuz of my marathon of reading Aura fanfics. It's mainly experiment here, I can do better than that, trust me
If someone wrote something similar, sorry, I haven't noticed their work or something
