Chapter Text
His friends were very useful for this type of game, as they could help him find other hidden players, although it was always more fun when he found them himself.
That's why he was happy when he saw his father. He could capture him himself! And this time, he would win on his own.
He already had all his energy, so he ran as fast as he could towards his father, charging at him. Apparently this took him by surprise, a strange noise came out of him when he hit a stone. He couldn't waste time trying to understand what that red liquid that was beginning to flow from his father's side was, he had to defeat him once and for all! He grabbed him by the neck and lifted him into the air. He could see a small gleam in the man's eyes. The glow began to fall down his cheeks.
—It's so nice to see you, dad! —He had to make sure that even if he beat him at the game, he still loved and respected him.
Little by little, his pupils stopped looking at him and began to point towards the sky. The hands that were trying to grab his wrist stopped. From one moment to the next, everything in him turned off. He must have been too tired to fall asleep so quickly.
How? How can a child do something like that? Was he even human?
Elliot watched as the red creature slowly lowered the man to the ground. Of the two individuals who had previously caused him trouble together, now only one remained. That boy who had forgiven his pranks multiple times, this time had crossed the limit. C00lkidd turned over after letting his father sleep. He had to find the last survivor, and what luck! He was right there, watching them. His look was a little uncomfortable, as if he were seeing a ghost or a scary monster from those movies that didn't let him see.
Elliot took a step back. C00lkidd advanced one. He was scared, he couldn't think of running to the other side, his legs just moved back on their own. He should have, if he had run, he wouldn't have tripped over his own steps. C00lkidd took advantage of his fall to get closer faster, he was about to grab him by the neck just like he did with his father.
—You... How can you smile after doing that? Monster! —the delivery man shouted before that reddish hand tried to take his breath away.
Kidd was confused. Why was the pizza guy yelling that at him? He wasn't a monster, he hadn't done anything wrong. It wasn't his fault he was a sore loser.
—Do what? If this is a no-win technique, then it didn't work! —He stuck out his tongue in mockery. Thank goodness his father hadn't woken up yet, he didn't want to be punished for making that rude sign.
—You killed him! Don't play innocent!
—I... What? No. I didn't kill anyone...
—Are you still with that? You can't even admit that you murdered your own father...
He couldn't stand it. The pizza guy wasn't serious. He only said those horrible things to make him angry and lose. How dare he? He couldn't tell him something so bad just like that, he couldn't get away with it, he couldn't lie without consequences, he couldn't... Before he knew it, he was already throwing him to the ground. He couldn't hear the bones crunching under his hands or the sticky sound of flesh tearing, because he kept telling him that it wasn't true, that it wasn't true, that he was just a dirty, vile liar.
The screams did not last long, his face was destroyed.
His breathing was labored, he was not tired, he was just afraid.
After a few seconds, he ran towards his father, who was lying on the cold grass, just as he had left him. He knelt in front of him, Elliot's words echoing in his head. He reached out towards his face, he could see how his eyes weren't completely closed from that angle. That's not how Dad slept.
-Dad?
He didn't answer. The skin he touched began to feel increasingly cold, as if he were touching a porcelain doll and not his warm father. Tears threatened to come, he was afraid, he was confused. He didn't understand what he was supposed to have done wrong, he was just playing, having fun. Why wasn't his father moving now? He wanted to know, he wanted to go back and understand. He wanted his father to wake up again when he moved him, even scolding him for shaking him too roughly.
And he cried. He cried as he leaned against the man's body. Maybe if he closed his eyes hard enough, a hand would caress his head and ask him what was wrong, hug him tighter, and promise him a lollipop if he told his what was wrong. Maybe.
________________________________________________
A light on one side of his face and something wet on the other was what woke him up.
He opened his eyes slowly, not wanting to see what was in front of him. His eyes hurt a little, suddenly there was a lot of light. He had forgotten about that lately. It was strange. He couldn't see his father anywhere, not even after rubbing his eyes and getting used to the light. It was in the middle of a beautiful green meadow, with the grass wet with morning dew. From time to time, in that sea of green, there was a flower or a tree that adorned the place.
It seemed so familiar...
Notes:
I'm pretty sure that "time to time" is misspelled... Well, I'm going to sleep, I almost reached 1,000 words so...
WHO AM I KIDDING? I USED TO BE ABLE TO WRITE 5,000 WORDS AND NOW IT TAKES ME 2 DAYS ON THIS CRAP, WAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Good night.

Chapter Text
Where was he? He had already been walking for a while and still hadn't found him.
He'd be lying if he said the scenery didn't calm him down a little. The warmth of the sun that he hadn't felt in a while and the light breeze in the air made him feel like he was in a dream. A good dream.
No matter how many steps he took, the only thing he saw was green and blue, green and blue... Maybe it really was a dream, the whole environment gave him a comforting feeling of loneliness. No, chilling. Strange, perhaps? Anyway, they are very complicated words.
Suddenly, as if it had always been in that place and he just hadn't noticed, a house appeared. Yellow walls, red roof, pretty common to be exact. The sight of the house, instead of making him feel more accompanied, made him feel even more alone. There was nothing around the house, not even a different plant than the ones there already were.
He approached one of the front windows to look inside, despite the curtains, he managed to see an armchair with a television in front of it, but nothing else. Guided by curiosity, he decided to open the front door. It was unlocked, so getting in wasn't a problem. Inside, he could better observe what was in the place. A wooden table with a couple of chairs, next to it, a small kitchen equipped with a refrigerator and stove. To the left of the sofa seen previously, a staircase leading to the second floor. There were photographs on the walls. Photographs that, even though they were half blurry, he knew he recognized them.
The table had some unfinished drawings and a dirty plate on it, as if something had happened before they could finish what they were doing. Seeing the crumbs on the plate reminded him that he hadn't eaten in a time. He went to the refrigerator in search of some food, he wanted something sweet, spongy but firm enough, like... A chocolate cake. He had the feeling that it would be there, had a little bird told him while he was sleeping and he didn't realize it? Anyway, he was hungry and there was what he wanted. The only thing he had to do was eat.
But what if the owner of the house got angry? Maybe they was still there and they would get angry if they saw him eat their cake in their face.
He should go.
Or, he could check to see if anyone's there, eat the cake quickly, and leave afterwards... Yeah, that sounded much better. And he would be like a "great ninja" if he left without being discovered.
He had already seen the bottom part of the house, so he only had to see the top part. He walked up the stairs more carefully than normal, not wanting to alert anyone who was there. When he arrived, he looked both ways, there were three rooms and they were all closed. He slowly looked out of the one in front of the stairs, it was nothing more than a bathroom so, with nothing to do there, he went to the room on the left.
The door opened with a slight squeak, scaring him a little. He stopped in place to look back and make sure no one heard him, a few seconds passed and nothing, so, without anything to stop him, he completely entered the room. It was full of toys scattered all over the place; cars using the carpet as a race track, a bed with several stuffed of different animals wrapped in it, shelves with books and simple action figures, a skateboard leaning against a colorful closet.
The sight of so many fun things made him want to stay and play for a while, but no! He had a mission and that was to see that there was no one in the house so he could eat that cake. He wouldn't let a few incredibly flashy toys distract him so easily.
Since there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of interest there, he left and closed the door behind him to go to the only room he had left without checking.
A door slammed shut.
And it hadn't been him.
With his hair standing on end, he tiptoed towards the edge of the stairs, fearing the worst...
-Son? I'm here!
Oh.
07 looked... Good. He had his typical hamburger on his head and that shirt with that funny logo. He quickly noticed C00lkidd, it was like he was trying to hide from him. Well, he wasn't such a fun-killer to say no to a game before giving him a surprise.
He left something on the table that the youngest couldn't see and then turned away while whistling an improvised song. He walked towards the couch, making C00lkidd no longer able to see him from up there.
He stayed there for a while, and as expected, small footsteps were heard from the stairs. One, two, three, four, five... And back!
Kidd screamed in fright, and almost fell to the ground if it weren't for his father holding him in his arms before that.
—Wow! I didn't think you'd be so scared, sorry son. —007n7 affectionately rubbed his head as an apology.
—Dad? But... You don't...
—I don't what? —Suddenly, the boy hugged him tightly. Too much tightly, in fact, took the air out of him from the headbutt that hit him in the stomach. But that didn't matter, his son was hugging him and he looked like he needed it. So he wrapped him in his arms slowly, careful not to upset him further... And because the blow still hurt.
Notes:
Sorry for taking so long on something so small and poor, I've been very busy lately :(
(I was trying to get Two time and 007n7 to level 100)
