Work Text:
Mitsi sat alone in a dark room, mulling over the events of the past seven years. Ever since she and Victim threw that party celebrating RocketCo’s four-year anniversary, everything’s gone wrong.
For some reason, when those two terrorists took down Newgrounds, Mitsi, and Agent were teleported there. Victim pursued and pushed Mitsi out of the way of a fireball The Dark Lord fired. Then she was gone.
The love of her life, her wife, the woman she built her life with from the ground up. Gone. In one moment. By one stick.
Suddenly, the door opened. Agent put a hand on Mitsi’s shoulder.
“Hey...”
“Don’t touch me,” Mitsi swatted his hand away.
“We... um,” Agent hesitated, turning to the gray stick that came in with him. “We found some new information,” He held the tablet up to Mitsi’s face.
It was a series of recordings. Apparently some sort of fight went on between The Second Coming and The Dark Lord. But there was one thing in particular...
The Dark Lord was next to the cursor. The same damn cursor that Vic saved her from, citing her own trauma from her creator.
“It seems like they’re working together,” Agent said sternly.
Wordlessly, Mitsi stood up and clapped her hands to turn on the light in the room. On one side, articles about The Dark Lord littered the walls, how one artist referred to her as “A Demon of Death,” a magazine article about if the Outernet is being watched, speculations on where Dark came from, a lot of things like that. On the other side was drawings from Victim and Mitsi about their respective creators. Very disturbing drawings.
She took out the paintbrush tool that Victim always used and drew a line connecting a drawing of The Dark Lord and the Cursor together.
“They’re linked,” Mitsi said, her voice abnormally low. “We have to kill The Dark Lord after we get answers.”
“Are you sure Victim would want that?” Agent sheepishly asked.
“She’s GONE!” Mitsi punched the wall. “What does it matter!?”
They’ve had this conversation several times, so Agent knew not to push the subject. For now. Maybe later, when Mitsi’s calmed down.
She’s always a calm person.
