Xie Lian being cursed into muteness. He can't use his communication arrays or speak, so he sticks by Hua Cheng all week. It takes a look or a disgruntled sound for Hua Cheng to understand him (Which from an outsider's POV is strangely captivating and equally unsettling). Xie Lian enjoys his week off of any responsibilities because nobody understands my boy's grunts 😞

Parrot Xie Lian and Hua Cheng where Shi Qingxuan is their owner and introduces them for the first time. Xie Lian totally tweaks out, trying to size the other up, to which Hua Cheng confuses as interest/play, and gets scared. Runs away, tucked between SQX's legs, but it's a happy ending with them being inseparable after two days

Hua Cheng gets turned small. Tiny little bird kind of small, and has to attempt at his job as Chengzhu. But he quickly folds when Xie Lian insists he stay by him and do the work instead.

Inspired by fanart(?), Hua Cheng being appointed by Xie Lian as his second guard. Small San Lang/Hong-er and Xie Lian growing up to be Commander and King, and everyone (Feng Xin and Mu Qing) being bothered the entire time about how close they are from day one. Probably Alternating POV with many many time skips.

Hua Cheng POV of the three times he meets Xie Lian and how he feels during their time apart. Xie Lian getting poetry spoken about him every other thought and this time, Xie Lian can hear it, and is visibly confused everyday because he's not supposed to hear prayers or thoughts, he's not a normal God or a psychic. (Soulmate ties AU sort of.)
