The kids were off with their friends since it was summer break for the schools, and with both of them spending the night at their friend’s house, with Logan fully investigating the parents for his sanity, they had the house for themselves which means Beth catching up with activities she hasn’t be able to do much with both the kids needing her most of the time. Logan was outside enjoying the sun in the hammock they set up in between two trees. Well the sun was starting to set and Beth was trying to get the wolverine out of the hammock “Come on kitty.” The Texan huffed, tapping her foot impatiently. “Get inside the damn house, you’re not sleeping outside” He let out a soft grunt, as if to say no. She sighed almost angrily as she walked closer to him and grabbed his arm to drag him out, which was a mistake on her part because he grabbed her waist and dragged her into his chest as she let out a squeak “LOGAN!” She turned a deep red which made him smirk “Hmm?”
“Don’t hmm me, mr. Let me go so we can go inside”
“No”
“What do you mean no?!”
“I’m saying no, Bethy. I didn’t think you were that old to start losing your hearing” He teased a bit and she rolled her eyes “I know what you said, I am trying to understand why?”
“T’s warm.” He huffed out, she sighed and smiled a bit “You’re like a kitty sometimes, Logan”
“I thought that’s where the nickname came from” He had a slight smile on his face “It is…” He chuckled “See, I’m not an idiot” She nuzzled her face into his chest as she curled up “Never said you were, kitty.” He ran his hand through her hair, he always enjoyed soft moments like these. To remind him that he’s human and not a weapon that he can and does love somebody. “Love you kitty.” She hummed, as she melted into his hand. He chuckled and kissed the top of her head “I love you too, Bethy.”
“Hmm, not sure you do.” He rolled his eyes “Beth we are not playing this game again”
“What game?” She said, acting like she was an angel. He could say otherwise about her in bed. “You know what game.” She pouted, and he huffed “Guess I found where Hyacinth gained those weapons.”
“Just keep telling me you love me”
“I do, and we both know you know that.” She pouted more and turned her nose upward straining her neck a bit, he knew she was going to regret it later and he’ll have to rub it better “Fine, fine. I love you. Better?”
“You don’t mean it.” She kept up the act as she tried not to chuckle as he did so “Come here” He grabbed her chin and pulled her into a long kiss “Now do you think I mean it?”
“Maybe if I have another one?” He rolled his eyes and kissed her again “Always, princess.” He teased as she kissed him back with a smile before rubbing her nose to his. “I love you, kitty”
“I love you more than you know Bethy.”
“I know” She smiled
